I don't know. I think I might be more inclined toward the idea of "summoning" familiars, especially if the Lesser Key of Solomon is something referential within the game. The possibilities are pretty numerous.

See, one of the things that really bugged me and divorced me from a "full on Castlevania experience" was the anime art in place of Ayami Kojima's art in Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin. Although I love a good chunk of anime shows, I don't think it would be something that people from all across the Castlevania fandom spectrum would be too ready to assimilate with an open heart in the long run. Given the graphics style, game engine dialogue should do the trick.

I think that the concept of 'holy' and 'evil' isn't something that needs to be, culturally speaking, restricted to westernized Christian ideals, especially considering that there are many different mythologies which elaborate upon the dichotomy of good and evil. Also, consider that because vampirism isn't the emphasis of this story, westernized Victorian religious themes prevalent in Victorian literature don't seem necessary. In fact, I wonder if being spiritually vague might be a great way diversify the demographic. Many aspects of alchemy and spells relates more to "paganism" than actual Christian perspectives, yeah?

Perhaps it's the American in me, but a good fart joke is always fun to throw in here and there.
Or change the story text and convos to be complete Bobobo Bo-bo Bo-bo type gibberish?

I'll be getting it for the ps4, i will also be gettig a ps4. Be sure to get the one that comes with the digital copy of The Last of Us. You wouldn't think that a bit of an HD upgrade to that game would make much of a difference, but it TOTALLY does.

If you don't mind watching a video completely laced with profanity, this is an exceptional video in terms of how Classicvania games are viewed by older generations:

Honestly though, I kind of liked the fact that weapons that dramatically raised your attack level so early on in the game had drawback; the whole speed over strength concept and all that jazz.

Here's to hoping for a hot spring session in Bloodstained that heals all of your HP. Haha! A hot spring would definitely be nice though I'd wonder how it'd fit in. Perhaps a Roman bath or something more fitting of a castle will do? From what I've come to understand, the entirety of Bloodstained will take place only within the demon castle. Therefore, i'd venture to guess that a hot springs of sorts would probably be out of the question.

I'll just say I don't like Jazz music, and don't recall ever liking a Jazz track in a game, castlevania or otherwise. Though I don't recall any castlevania game having a jazz track that really bothered me and make me go 'OH GOD TURN IT OFF" like some game's songs do. That said I like the Bloodstained theme. as soon as I heard it I was like "yup, that's castlevania"... Cursed orphan on the other hand. To be honest I'm not that enamored with it. It's too noisy and obnoxious for my tastes, and I have a hard time imagining it in actual gameplay without it drowning out the regular sound effects...They will probably filter it or something to not be that way, who knows if my opinion will be the same then. I wont vote because I love the first track, and the 2nd track is kinda less than meh but not quite hate What about, say, this one?

I actually have a rather peculiar disorder called 'dyscalculia'. It hinders me from full mathematic comprehension up to and including reading music. However, if you were to play something for me a few times, I'd be able to easily memorize it and play it back for you.

What a gorgeous thing for you to have shared with us! I own a copy of the Lesser Key of Solomon, but, alas, it's rather thin on illustrations.
I am not myself a religious person, but I always loved the tales of Solomon having the holy power to command demons to do his bidding.
Vassago has always been a favorite of mine!

I'm more surprised with how low is the number of XB1 players, considering its popularity in the west and all. Well, I suppose it has to do with demographic; many Xbone gamers are into first-person shooters and American made games whereas Japanese oriented consoles like those of Sony and Nintendo are used to games of this kind of genre. Perhaps I'm wrong though. What do you think, Ciel?

Exactly, even if I wanted, I couldn't rely only on Nitesco (Nova Skeleton's Laser Glyph) and would need to use a different weapon also to beat this cave. Also I like how Giant Skeleton acts as wall in this game, he is the boss that most people that stopped playing because they couldn't beat it, but also acts as a boss that only lets you pass if you understand fully how the game works. It is cool when once in a while a game teaches you everything and then some time later stops holding your hand like "hey, now its time to show everything that you learned and after that you wouldn't need my help anymore". I've stopped playing it on this part at first, but then after some time I've tried again and after this boss, I don't stopped until finishing the game and almost beating Albus Mode LVL 1 on Hard (or that was LVL 50? I must check sometime). Yes, I think it is VERY important for a game to, as you put it, stop holding your hand after a time. It is incredibly gratifying.

There's no denying Castlevania: Symphony of the Nights is a great game, but I always thought it had one big flaw. It's way too easy. That's why for me Order of Ecclesia's my favorite, I think they hit the difficulty curve perfectly on that one. I know a lot of people consider that game to be too hard or even unfair though, so I'm curious what is the rest of the Army of the Night hoping for Bloodstained's difficulty. I absolutely agree; the thing about Symphony of the Night was that it wasn't challenging exactly, but considerably time consuming which gave the illusion of being a challenge. Indeed, Order of Ecclesia's difficulty curve made it, for me, one of the most memorable experiences. As much as it made me want to break my DS from the sheer frustration I sometimes faced, I actually really appreciated that I couldn't just dive into that endless cave area to fight that Chinese vampire; I liked that I had to level up and, one by one, figure out which enemies were weak against certain attacks or spells.

If what I have come to understand is correct, I will have several copies of the game; for my physical copy, PS4. For my digital copy, WiiU. For my prequel game, 3DS.
Wow! So many PC gamers!

That was something that I was actually quite fond of in Order of Ecclesia; I liked that Shanoa's weapons had a magic gauge which made players think before acting when attacking. If I recall correctly, I think the first time IGA did this was with Portrait of Ruin wherein... after doing a series of tasks, you eventually get to play as the vampire twins. Their abilities were designed in the same manner that was used for Shanoa
