Lots of hotkeys are nice, but I think it's important to keep in mind the multiplatform nature of the game. While a keyboard has plenty of buttons, controllers have a lot less. You could have a single use button and cycle which item it used, but I've always found that system clunky and inconvenient.

I actually think that most, if not all of this, sound like the quintessential shop, in my opinion. The only thing I could really add is that it would be nice to see our (the players) efforts have an impact on the shop in some way. For instance, being able to rescue people or find items in the castle that allow the shop to expand its inventory or offer better deals. An example of such might be a printing press that you somehow bring back, and items like books and maps become cheaper, or after rescuing an apprentice alchemist who got trapped in the castle, a wider selection of potions becomes available.

We might get something like a certain cape in another "of the night" game, that we're able to recolour as we see fit. That would be a nice touch.

Hey there! It occurs to me that I've made a few posts already, but not actually introduced myself. I'm AnonTheMouse on Kickstarter as well, but Kefke or Kefke_Wren other places...such as on the Some Ordinary Gamers wiki, where I used to do a lot of game-related horror writing. Other than that, I'm not really sure what stands out about me!

I kind of like the idea of fusing familiars. Armor would be the "base", but it could be changed into different forms by combining it with something else. The forms would be representative of Fairy, Death, and Goofball, but obviously still based on Armor in some way. It wouldn't be quite the same, but it would still allow then to exist in some form.

On the one hand, it would really add to development time, but on the other it would be really cool. Maybe not every enemy needs some super-special way to die, but at least a few memorable ones would be nice.

Thought inspired by this thread; A poltergeist enemy whose attacks vary depending on where it is encountered.
- In a library, it launches books at you, some of them shooting out spectral weapons.
- In the kitchen, knives, pans, and the occasional flaming piece of food...maybe the last drops a health item if hit with an ice attack.
- In a dungeon, an assortment of bones.
- In a garden, leaves, stones, pruners, spades, and the occasional toxic mushroom.
- In a laboratory, bottles of various volatile chemicals.

Kick/Shoes( anonthemouse ) "Hermes Sandles" - Golden sandals with white wings and criss-crossing straps up the claves. A holy item infused with the power of light. Back > Three-quarters circle forward > Down + AttackStands on tiptoes and rises into the air (wings on the sandles fluttering), then launches into a downward arc, performing a long-sweeping slide kick. This is all that springs immediately to mind, but I'll come back to it if I think of anything. Not sure how likely weapon ideas from people who didn't back the "design a weapon" tiers will be to get used.

When I imagine a double jump, I actually see it less as something propelling Miriam up, and more as something keeping her from falling down. That is to say that, either automatically on jumping or with the use of an appropriate shard, you would form a platform of "stained glass" beneath your feet, which shatters and disintegrates as you kick off of it to launch yourself higher.
