I love the anime art style, particularly in games, but I just don't have any desire to watch anime. I prefer playing videos over watching them.

I didn't see Laevateinn mentioned, not that I particularly care, maybe I missed it.
One weapon I would really like to see added to a game with multiple weapons, this one included...one I never ever see games add, it's completely neglected, and I think it's such a cool looking weapon... 3-section-staff. Of all the fantasy games with crazy weird weapons out there, why is it not one has one of these? blah.
Also I like claws, cuz claws are sexy... CLAWS NOT KATARS, KATAR UGLY.

Yeah I rarely made much use of subweapons in many of the later castlevania games, but some were pretty op too. I can't remember which ones were in the 2 PS2 castlevania games but I think there were some that granted a fairly lengthy invincibility.

For some reason when I saw the subject title I thought you would refer to the part where the ninja gaiden room 'crashes' and kills you, but that isn't really a cutscene, my derp. That game was pretty fun though, but I find it less so more than once, it's more like a first time is great, replays less so game. Because much of the appeal is being surprised at all the stuff for the first time. My own personal fave moment is really early in the game before mike tyson, you're jumping across platforms going up and the very last part before a platform floating up has a rack of spikes from off screen fall on your head really quick.. there's like no way you can avoid it if you don't know it's there in advance, and it happens RIGHT when you think you are finally safe from a hard part.. so you do it and are like. yay, finally now I can take a b*splat*...rake... arrgh!

I don't recall who but I recall someone saying they don't want the castle to be too big because if it's too big then they'll just copy paste stuff over and over again... not necessarily, that's an assumption, though do expect to see rooms copied and pasted for roguelike mode regardless of the castle size, unless it's some strange not-random roguelike =P, pretty sure they mentioned it would be procedurally generated though.
Also, I recall some people saying the castle will be 4x bigger or some such. While I would like that I wouldn't get my hopes up. I can't imagine they'd have a stretch goal specific to being 25% larger and it actually be 4X larger, they would have said 4x larger if so.

Anyone knows what about? Obvious theory is he's discussing hijacking the fanforums and making them official somehow. But he was doing that before he was even aware of the forums, what they looked like, etc. For all he knew they could have looked like @#%@% and we all were trolls and flamers! =P Not to mention, if that's it, why the private convorsation? Unless discussing $$$ of course, which if is the case, grats xombie =P.
The domain name would be kinda silly for an officially made forum though.

My guess is they will simply squat the IP and let it rot like so many good IPs that companies own, never use, and never share.. like ogre battle, valkyrie profile, xenosaga, advance wars, etc. Please don't. I assume you mean please no? I'm not personally responsible for what konami does or anything, otherwise i'm not sure what you're objecting to.

I don't remember that. Smashing apart individual bodyparts in valkyrie profile 2 was tons of fun, but bosses would respawn. I hope bloodstained doesn't 'force' you to kill every boss super slowly because you want to kill all their bodyparts for all their drops without accidentally killing the boss first or whatever, that could be annoying unless they respawn or something to let you just do it normally knowing you can get the other parts later.

yeah SoTN was really good at making the castle feel like an actual castle/mansion/home thing. It was also nice how they didn't all have a start and an end with a boss at the end.

Again, I wasn't refering to you when a topic got locked... it was just an example of something that happened earlier. Well, I like arguing, and I like debating. I don't mean it disrespectfully, nor do I want to offend anyone, I just think challenging thoughts is enjoyable like a challenging videogame. So please, tolerate any arguments or debates I throw at you, long enough to tell me you wish not to challenge them back, and I will step down, but please don't feel offended, or judge my character negatively after such.

yeah sounds like fallout then...and don't get me wrong, fallout is a great game, it just wasn't what really made me want it in the first place, thank you.
Not that it matters for my question though, but I actually normally hate important evil choice things...not because I think real life lets you play a shining paladin 100% of the time or anything, but because in real life, sometimes when you make an objectionable choice, or even if you make a mistake/bad choice, you can like... you know... EXPLAIN it to the people you care about an they'd be like "ohhh, you poor thing, that must have been painful" (unless you care about stone-minded bigots or something...not that I'm saying sympathetic people are common, they're rare as fuu, and I can count the ones I met on my hands, but they DO exist). So like consequences that affect the world for bad or other bad choices I can accept, but ones where the people your character is close to judges you buy...I hate that. even if they don't change their relationship forever more, something as simple as a -10 reputation or whatever pisses me off...not that I would refuse to try or like a game cuz of that...just saying that kind of mechanic bugs me to no end.

I never played any shadowrun game ever, I kinda ignored it way back in its 8-16 bit days because cyberpunk was never really my thing (in addition to it lacking anything else I knew about that made me want it... I mean it never looked bad to me per say, it's just I never heard anything about it that said "I NEED THAT", other than that it was cyberpunk, which was a minus to me)... Then sometime between those days, and it's original return thing on steam, I heard it was a rogue-like..and I was like IT IS?!?! I thought it was an RPG like fallout?! (I like post-apocalyptic even less than cyberpunk but I tried fallout for reasons I can't recall...I loved fallout 1 and 2...and even tactics, not 3, but that's another topic altogether, I'm long-winded enough). So ever since I heard it was a rogue-like, I was really interested, but didn't buy it until a sale, but during a big steam sale, it wasn't on sale yet, and I was saying how much I wanted it... and when I mentioned wanting it because I like roguelikes, especially ones that are willing to get graphical improvements WITHOUT becomming rogue-lites...I was told "ITS NOT A ROGUELIKE WTF NOOB"... so now I think it's not a roguelike (I dunno! I never played it!)...
heeelp... is it remotely a roguelike? or is it a cyberpunk fallout-ish game? not saying it copied or was inspired by fallout, but that kind of rpg?

Lol I doubt they'll make Miriam addicted to wine. Actually I recall on the KS comment thing some people causing a stink about the fact that she even had a wine glass to throw. They were all like "she's under-age, how could this game be so amoral, rah rah rah", and they WERENT all joking =P. That being said I'm not sure what legal drinking age in Japan is anyway, not that it should matter for a videogame.
Anyway I can't really think of Miriam being depressed though. she's still fairly young, and she's basically been in a coma for 10 years too right? So experience-wise.. she's less than 10...Which is in fact another reason why I think romance would be less likely. Even if one feels 17-30 isn't too large an age gap, consider a 17 year old that was born only 7 years ago. I'm pretty sure that's thinking of it too hard since it's fiction but it's just another thing to consider.
Also, I'm unaware of any posts being locked because of me, actually I'm unaware of any posts being locked ever, but okies.

Normally I have a pretty good grasp on work/reward when it comes to gaming features. But during that interview with Iga, and he mentioned how transformations are a lot of work, only then did it really occur to me that a transformation is pretty much as much work as making a whole new character. I mean a transformed character will need whole new sprites, idle poses, attack animations, hitbox mechanics, stat mechanics, mobility mechanics, combos if applicable, etc, etc... unless the transformation is of extremely limited function like fog or whatever, I can't help but wonder if it's worth having a transformation on the MC instead of another new character completely.
That being said the extra work involved may not be an issue if the animation/character assets are completed before some other portion of the game like level design or difficulty balancing and whatnot...Then those character animators and whatnot may as well start working on a transformation I guess..But even in that situation, then they probably can't make the transformation to have any exploration utility, because then they'd have to redeisgn the castle to allow for new paths and such for that utility, so it would have to be a combat-only transformation or something.
That and brand new characters likely have story elements to go with it. If they aren't willing to add that in, but the rest of a whole new character isn't a big deal, transformation sounds viable again. I honestly have no idea how storytelling is developed in games though, so I don't know if that's a likely or ridiculous scenario.
