Artists and modelers who create new assets arent going to be the same people responsible for bugfixing or porting code.

PC user here. There are a few techniques that are decent for mobility. In general, though? They cost too much MP, aren't much better than regular attacks for damage, the inputs are too precise, and they can be interrupted. So no, I don't use techniques. Not sure if I'll ever get the achievement for mastering one, except by accident after years of playing this game. I'm in the same boat mostly, but I got it pretty easily simply by using rapiers for awhile, where its input is 'mash attack'. It's still pretty useless because its dps doesn't seem that much better, and it eats mp, but oh well.

I use the kung-fu heels to make jumps longer than I can otherwise at times, but not very often cuz frankly I'm having some difficulty pulling it off reliably. I don't know why but the simple quarter circle motion int his game seems REALLY strict and I only have like a 50% chance of pulling it off successfully.. Kinda weird when in SotN I could do the big forward half circle back motion every damn time (or whatever it was). I can't seem to do it reliably using a keyboard OR thumbstick! I think I have the best luck using a controller d-pad but even that is only barely better. like 60% I wonder if the reduce input lag option combined w ith vsync off is screwing with it or something. I thought a reduce input lag option to be pretty weird frankly because in my experience input lag is almost always caused BY vsync.
That said, otherwise not really... Mostly because they either don't seem very good, or the weapons I happen to be using don't have any (or at least I don't know them).

So many people finished eh. Does the game seem bigger than SoTN in terms of size of castle + inversion? I love the game but it does seem like my % is climbing kinda fast considering

I just killed the 2 dragon boss. Enjoying the game so far, but I do have one gripe kinda... Game seems less open than SoTN. I mean it's open but I dunno. just feels like I had to kill every boss in that exact order so far, but I think in SoTN you can kinda skip bosses or do them in a different order by this point, but I'm pretty certain you had to do every boss in a specific order up to the point I'm at now since they seem to reward you with explore tools that seem to only let you explore 1 new major area each at this point.
Also, is there some kind of significance to the random 'you can sit down here for seemingly no reason' areas?

Based on the fact that we were told 'NOBODY will EVER guess who it is". I'm thinking it must be someone that we have no knowledge of being in this game yet. If it's someone we do have knowledge of at all, I would say Alucard, though I don't know if that's even possible legally. Iga said Konami was good to him IIRC, despite their currenly poor reputation, maybe he asked nicely and they let him have a bone?

Dead cells is great, but I wouldn't call it a metroidvania at all, and certainly not a castlevania. That said I find the misuse of the term isn't half as egregious of how roguelike is misused, use roguelite people, it's there for a reason, and not to hate on casuls or something.
I would call hollow knight a metroidvania though, a good one too.
I don't know the other examples well enough to say.

I love mods in games, and appreciate it when devs encourage it enough that total conversion mods aren't a pipe dream.
That said there should be a neptunia reskin/model mod for every game! =P

Enable vertical sync to get rid of screen tearing. I don't remember if this game had that option. If not you should be able to force it on by using your videocard driver settings. Or is that nvidea cards only?

Ah, nice find! This is one of the aspects I like the most about igavania games; the secrets are very well hidden. Well there were a couple that were just silly. like that one where you ha ve to hold up or down for like 20 seconds in one spot.

Yeah I kinda hope he's got some dark secrets because otherwise he's kinda poorly written the way Miriam has to tell him to stay back and let her handle monsters yet he always is willing to go off into danger on his own anyway without a thought in the world, then overdramatically cowers when that one monster comes crashing into the boat.
Maybe I'm just spoiled by trails in the sky though. The characters there are so damn well written by video game standards imo.

aL|1Gsb01-100 I gingerly poke at it, am alarmed to discover there were minute traces of dust, and heroically summon my butler to move it in an arbitrary direction with unquestioned authority. That'll show that box.1-100

I know, I like it too! I played xillia 1 and some of 2... I prefer 1 so far, and I kinda lost interest in 2, but not for the same reasons as people complained about with 2.. I intend to f inish it one day. That said the character is milla/millia maxwell, and she's honestly a very inspiring character. But her outfit in 1 was kinda ick... then in 2 she gets that really nice one, and and..then it changes to something even worse than 1. FFS! This isn't even related to why I stopped playing 2 to boot, I quit before even getting her at all in the playable party! (though I think I'm nearly th ere. I'm at a boss fight who wouldn't be too hard if I loved the game as much as 1, but I don't, so it creamed me twice and I hate playing as the new MC even though he's the most op as @%#%, and and.. gah I'm ranting...). Xillia 1 is frequently on super generous sales though, you should really try it.. and early game 2 was seriously amazing. I adored it. But I grew to hate the combat system using the new MC when he was clearly designed to be the dude you play as. gah. edit: Sorry, on topic. I always expected this game to be delayed a bunch before anyone else did, and pretty sure I made the first ever delay thread on here. But it's weird, I'm kinda feeling more positive now than people seem to be now. That said I kinda expect February. Yes yes I know there is a push for a christmas/new years release... but I still expect February completely for hunch/gut feeling reasons.

One thing to consider is late game is probably more difficult than early game, and one way of it being so is there will be more and/or faster enemies, by faster I mean ones who attack more often, attack with less warning, etc. Which would make the seemingly already good fast attack speed weapons even better since they punish you less (by giving you more time to react) for attacking when it may not be safe to.

Every Nintendo game ever because their price policy is absolute sh*t. Yeah, that's what I think. Oh yeah I had to wait forever to see zelda a link between worlds go on a decent sale. Happened just this year as a matter of fact.

I'd be surprised if I can't run the game though.

I'm honestly stunned at keyboard not being supported at all after so long when it should be enabled by default by the Unreal engine. It's like they deliberately took it away for not reason, not even a matter of not bothering to deal with it, but actually bothering to screw keyboard users over. what the dung?
But yeah, be respectful about it because I want the devs to see the complaints, the number of complaints, and I don't want them to think that the complainers are unhinged jerks who belong in a cage somewhere and hence can be ignored without a guilty conscience.

Continued complaints about the lack of keyboard support is very much welcome. I mean, if you've already commented there is no reason to keep stating your disappointment, but I encourage as many people who want to speak up about it to please post. This is valuable feedback and numbers matter. The team is listening. Oh wow. I mean... wow. It is not just that they don't give a single shit and don't even consider this an issue that requires an immediate fix for the backer's demo and apology, they also require a specific amount of complaints to be met before they even start to think "Well, may be this IS an issue we should take a look at and MAYBE fix it"The absolute state of PC game dev in 2018. What a disgrace and entitlement. That isn't remotely what was said. Either you're trolling or you should brush up on your reading comprehension before you take such offense to what you read. I don't mean that as an insult btw. I have respect for people whose English may not be so hot because they speak other languages. My own 2nd language skills are near nil.
