Hahahah! Motoko if I owned dogs I would be glad to share them! I live my dog-owning vicariously through friends. My one buddy has the dopiest German Shepherd ever and I love her to death, and another friend of mine just got a pair of puppies!

This is Pumpkin. Pumpkin was a cat with a personality; he was a brilliant jerk. He grew up with me and is with us no longer, but he'll always be my cat. When I get another cat, if he's orange and white his name will be Pumpkin 2: THE REVENGE! Any other coloration and his (or her, I'm not picky) name will be Sanguinus.

Alchemy crashes sound amazing and they have a real-life basis in volatile chemical reactions. Even with very simple compounds you can get some very dramatic results. I hate to say it but I would love to see some kind of 'acid rain' Alchemy Crash...but I'm biased because of Megaman 4.

Grinning lopsided Constanz glances around at his allies and wonders if any of them have weak stomachs. "I guess that's irrelevant now..." Chuckling gently despite the carnage around him he crouches close to the floor and sticks his hands wrist deep into the collected viscera. Muttering a few words the gore begins to lurch sickeningly. Suddenly it gathers and jerks upright before rotating, becoming a tornado of blood, flesh and bone that swirls in the middle of the room. Gaining speed it lurches towards the Bismark Kappa, engulfing it in a storm of vile magics!

WIth previous Castlevania games I have found that clever enemy placement has provided the most challenge. Medusa heads never needed complex enemy behaviors--all they needed was to move in that same, similar sine wave pattern. If they caught you in the top of a jump over a spike pit? It was devastating. With the largest castle ever promised to us I think the level designers can work with the enemy programmers to really deliver a complex and challenging castle that satisfies everyone.

Constanz peeks around the door to the alchemy lab, his lips pulling up into a thin line. "Oh! Well that isn't something you see every day." Stepping into the doorway fully he grins madly. "Shame we're going to have to kill it!" He paused, scratching his cheek. "Although on the other hand we can always dismantle it afterwards...you know, for science." Sprinting into the room he pulls a javelin from his backpack and leaps into the air, bringing the razor-sharp tip down on the top of the Kappa's glinting, watery weak point! wQ8C3eWh1-20

Now there's an interesting concept Maker. A parry system could give rise to some kind of counter system as well...hitting the attack button during a properly timed parry might result in a cinematic, high-damaging attack! Something akin to Alucard's teleport slash with his Alucard sword perhaps...ah, a man can dream! Naturally though not all attacks could be parried and countered...perhaps some could only be parried, or even break parry if they're suitably huge. Half the fun of such a concept is discovering which attacks can be parried/countered.

I don't know about everyone else but some of my favorite weapons were the 'swinging' type. Sure the early-game weapons like the Axe and hammer were slow...but the damage couldn't be topped! Then you moved on to powerful, fast swinging weapons like the Claimh Solais from Aria of Sorrow and destroyed everything in your path! I wouldn't mind seeing our strong female protagonist swinging massive axes or clubs, things of that nature. This would place more of an emphasis on tactics and learning enemy patterns, discerning the right window to move in and administer punishing blows! Maybe something like this!

No....what a shame. With such a long life ahead of him as well--truly a man leaving us in the prime of his days. His presence within the company will be sorely missed, of that I am certain, but he will always have a place in the hearts of gamers. We are all called eventually and some are called earlier than others, yet we leave for a better place, wherever that may be. While we mourn the loss of a man such at Iwata, we must gather to celebrate that which made the company he spearheaded great.

SML's stream has introduced me to Castlevania: Harmony of Despair. I'm five years late to the proverbial party, but tis a lot of fun. I'm also terrible at solo-runs, but the challenge keeps me going! I'm looking forward to playing with a team again if and when I get the chance.

Thomas: I would love that--maybe a throwback to Fist of the North Star with a rapid-fire punch paying homage to the North Star Hundred Crack Fist, or something akin to Guile's Sonic Boom or the ubiquitous Hadoken!

Did someone say PILE BUNKER? On that note however I would love to see unarmed attacks make their triumphant return. Perhaps Miriam can craft a set of crystalline gauntlets and greaves which would unlock some high-flying marital arts prowess in our female protagonist. Strong punches and kicks, uppercuts for a mild traversal element, perhaps a short range projectile attack of some kind? I was always a big fan of the "Beowulf" weapon set for Vergil from Devil May Cry 3.

Then, what about other crystal-cursed alchemists as bosses? Or yet, crystal-cursed apprentices of alchemists. Hell, a crystal-cursed Galamoth! CC (Crystal Cursed) Galamoth would be terrifying! I would love to see him resurrected on a modern game engine. Now this may be branching off on a wild tangent...but when you say CC Alchemists and Apprentices....all I can think of is Culex, the optional superboss, from Super Mario RPG. He's got godlike powers and I almost think that Gebel is well on his way to become this kind of demonic creature.

I would really love to see the Candle Skeleton ever since seeing jim and his icons. Since this is a game with a distinctly 'gothic' art style, I would love to see crystal versions of classic gothic horror monsters. Crystal vampires or a crystallized version of Frankenstein's monster. I really enjoyed the art design of the Crystal Caves in Dark Souls especially Seath the Scaleless. A tougher, high-level enemy that is stationary with it's torso trapped in an outcropping of crystal would be both visually stunning and a memorable encounter.

XombieMike: I want to thank you in particular for all the work you've done for the forum. I was watching the comments section for the Kickstarter when funding ended and caught your comment about the unofficial forum. Without that comment I would have never joined this vibrant, wonderful community that everyone has helped build up. You'll always be the General of the Ancient Legion and you should carry that title with pride.

Galamoth: Oh man when I watched the stream I couldn't stop laughing at Ben's on-the-fly translation of IGA's thought process on the design of the Bismark Kappa Mk. III. It was just...too amazing for words. Even if they don't include the Bismark Kappa in all of it's glory, I really...REALLY hope they put in some kind of reference to it. I've never been part of a community from the very genesis of a game like this before. Anything that connects me to this early excitement will only enrich my experience with the final product.
