I really enjoyed the simplicity of the Magnes point mechanics in OoE. However, if the grapple mechanic is anything like Axiom Verge--where it is simply a grapple hook that can attach to any ceiling tile--I would want it to be tested extensively. The reason Magnes was so effective in my opinion was it's ease of use. There was no need to make a pin-point accurate jump or aim for a small grapple point in the environment. Simply throw out your Magnes field in the general area of the point and you're latched on.
Now this is coming from a man who had difficulty nailing down the bionic arm mechanic in the original Bionic Commando game when I was younger, so I'm certain I'm biased from that experience. I enjoy a good platforming element in my games just like anyone else, so I would enjoy seeing some kind of interesting mechanic involved. IGA mentioned an element that didn't jive with another game that he had developed in the past--it was a giant hand that emerged from the back of the player character to help them scale walls. Could you imagine Miriam sprouting crystallized spider's legs from the tattoo on her back to help her scale specialized wall tiles? It would be a new take on an old mechanic which I think is the guiding principle of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night at this point.

I don't know how possible it is to implement this within the game but I always enjoyed the "I would have been your daddy" skull in the Halo series. With such great voice talent such as David Hayter and Robert Belgrade I would love to be treated to alternate dialogue and cutscenes. Especially if this cheat is unlocked after the game is completed for the first time--it would be a fun reason to go back and enjoy the cutscenes of the game once again.

A live version of "Opera: Maria and Draco". It's an amazing love song from an amazing game (Final Fantasy 6 for those not aware). I'm not usually one for sappy romance...but this one is special and different somehow.

We need a separate kickstarter dedicated to sending one lone agent in to sabotage both Metal Gears I mean giant fighting robots. Perhaps by destroying their feet with plastic explosives.
I for one claim no allegiance to either country. It is simply a matter of the best robot and pilot coming out on top as the victor.

Iga-San,
Depending on the commercial success of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, will we see other merchandise and media in production? Manga, animated series, licensed merchandise for collection, etc?
Your most humble servant, Constanz Waites.

Via Togposh: Wiggystained: Chiggy of the Night. ((Even though both are essentially humorous nonsense words. ))

Being a huge fan of Aria of Sorrow I am clearly biased towards it's Clocktower Theme. However it definitely has it's own individual merits in terms of composition. It begins somber enough, befitting the atmosphere of the tower...but as soon as you get into the action that riff comes to the fore and really spices things up. The song is just up-tempo enough to get my blood racing as I dodged Medusa Heads (THOSE DAMNED HEADS) and swooping enemies alike!

I don't know if this counts--but I always enjoyed Dracula's Second form from all the way back from Rondo of Blood. Though he was upgraded in Harmony of Despair which makes the fight that much more enjoyable. Or his Third Form from Harmony of Despair for that matter. Plenty of utility is each form!

Ah, that's easy! I would drop the "Mutus" soul! It would allow Miriam to throw out a spray of pus, blood and other foulness which both weakens and poisons the enemy. It would be harder-than-average to obtain because it would be effective on bosses.

It looks very good! I'm eager to see you add the unique aspects that make Miriam such an iconic character! The costume is a wonderful start.

Kaius: It wasn't posted in any update on the Kickstarter. Instead IGA and Ben Judd introduced him and gave the bare-bones information on the character during Gamescon of this year.

Thank you Dexter for posting a capture of the 3rd playable character! I'm very excited to play as him especially since he fights with a niten ichi-ryu or two-sword style!

Be Trippin: As it just so happens I have a friend who's studying abroad in South Korea right now. I'll have to ask him to ask his buddies overseas if they're into pokemon and have also heard of the hype that is god-chirisu! They're all first and second year college blokes so I'm sure they're into it! ^^

This may be a bit of a non-sequitur, seeing as I don't yet own a copy of Smash Bros. (I play it whenever I go over my buddy's house in town, so I have a little experience), but I would really enjoy seeing Miriam as either a fully-fleshed out character or a Mii Sword fighter costume. I can fondly recall the hours and hours I spent on Subspace Emissary mode in Brawl and how that in turn introduced me to Lucas as a character. Having played Mother 2 I was surprised to learn that another Mother title had been released. All of the trophies and other tidbits of Mother 3 which had been included in Brawl encouraged me to look into the game. I hope with a little luck Miriam's inclusion will convince others to look into Bloodstained as well.

While I am a fan of the traditional HUD, I don't think it would be detrimental to the atmosphere of the game if the design team went for either a minimal or no HUD approach. One of my all-time favorite titles is the first Dead Space game and they went in a bold new direction with real-time menus (no safety from ravenous Necromorphs within windowed menu screen now!) and no traditional HUD. Health was displayed on the back of Isaac's suit in an easy to see and understand format and your ammo counter was large and visible. I am not certain that the same concepts will apply well to Bloodstained, being an RPG, but perhaps the health and MP bars can minimize when there are no enemies onscreen or you are not using magic power. However I would love to see dynamic character portraits during dialogue. In my opinion it's really just a nice touch to see that the artists went the extra mile to make the game a more cinematic experience.

Being an old school Pokemon fan I love Gengar. I've got a Gengar themed wallet and a custom Gengar hat that was sewn for me for my birthday. When I have some spare spending cash I'm going to pick up a few themed tee-shirts as well! I have fond memories of my younger days playing Blue and Red in which the scrappy Ghost type Pokemon carried me through the battles of Victory Road, the Elite 4, and finally my Rival.

Ah hah hah hah! It is as if Dan has read our collective minds! I was concerned about the shipping address quandary that he brought up in his post and was ruminating on it late last night! How informative! Now I'm even more hyped!
