While I don't necessarily agree with the art direction they are for these pachinko games one needs to be mindful of the audience which Konami is pandering towards. Pachinko machines as I understand them are similar to the slot machines of Western casinos. Naturally the red-blooded male is going to be drawn to the promise of 'erotic violence' to accompany his gambling experience, just as Western slot machines are bedecked with garish designs as well. These slot machines have their own art style and allure which seems alien to someone like myself who isn't prone to gambling, but it is as they say...different strokes for different folks.

After hemming and hawing for the better part of a month I just bumped my tier up one level. The rewards are well worth the extra funds in my opinion. While I would love to max out my slacker backer tier at $500 so I could score the map, I just don't have the money at the moment. College is a fickle mistress!

Ah, I see! Yes it looses much of it's potency when it's shrunken down to such a size. No matter! I really enjoy that floating eyeball star. It's a unique little enemy that I was fond of in the demo video.

As Miriam is an Alchemist and inflicted with the cursed crystals I wouldn't mind seeing some transmutation-style magics. Perhaps it's as simple as turning a patch of floor into a temporary shield that crumbles away after a few hits, letting you negate the projectile weapon of a nasty ranged foe. Or a more utilitarian spell for early on in the game...extending & powering up your weapon with a crystalline shell around it in the shape of the weapon itself. Temporary buffs to help the player overcome a particularly challenging section have always appealed to me.

I am a fan of that hammer-smash sprite...everyone needs a giant hammer in their lives for when you absolutely, positively have to pummel something into submission. Plus it's a good "angry" emote!

Isaac can be a formidable foe! I would be screwed because the last few games I played as isaac I kept getting epic fetus or the doctor's remote. Explosives would be the end of me. Also what would you consider brimstone? a laser? I always thought Brimstone was projectile blood, like he was possessed, because Azazel has a short range version of it. Technology is more of a true laser. Hahaha, yeah if he was "End Game" Isaac I would have no chance! Especially if he had Ipecac or something like you said.

Isaac from Binding of Isaac? Err...his weapon is his own tears. I think I'll be just fine! Now if I hadn't gotten some time in before I hopped online tonight it would have been Alucard from CV: HD. He would smoke me in ten seconds flat with the Yatsuna! I would be quivering meat cubes on the floor!

Hello fellow forumites! I'm proud to present "Path to the True Sun" my very own Bloodstained fan fiction. Please follow the link here which will redirect to my DeviantArt page. I have kept it in this format to preserve the composition and spacing of the document as well as save everyone from trying to read it as one huge post on the board itself. It is my first creative work in some time and as such I freely admit it may not be as polished as other works. Enjoy this small offering to keep the excitement for what's to come alive!

jim: Clearly the designer in charge of the chairs you've purchased didn't take this into consideration when longevity was concerned. I wish I had an iota of the technical skill you had...my wired Xbox controller had a small short in the wire which caused it to disconnect frequently. Unable to fix it and in a blind fury I tore the entire cord from the original controller...

Ahahaha! Today has been quite and up and down day! I helped by father try to fix our leaking faucet but it isn't...going as well as we would like. We finally tossed in the towel and decided to call the landlord to try and figure out what went wrong. Meanwhile I finally acquired one of two "Pneuma" glyphs for Shanoa in CV: HD. Looking at it I realize it's a homage to one of my favorite King of Fighters bosses! GEEEESU! The Pneuma glyph is clear a Reppuken! X3

Although I don't currently own one I will picking up Bloodstained for PS4. I figure it's a good investment since Bloodborne is available now and I'll be picking that up as well. I backed the project enough that I'll have the opportunity to own it on PC as well!

cecil-kain: I would like to ask your opinion on monster infighting which you mentioned in your last post. Do you think that all monsters should harm all others monsters? I think it would be slightly more logical for infighting to occur along monster "class" lines. For example, Axe Armor's projectiles would harm skeletons and any other creatures that would normally be harmed by an axe to the face, but other "Armor" class monsters would simply shrug it off or take one point of damage. Do you think bosses should be included in this infighting mechanic? If so, to what extent?

Masterful. Truly masterful--I really like the sword and it's plain to see just how much effort you put into it. I hope that as we see more of Bloodstained others will take up the torch and join you! I would love to see a group shot of Johannes, Miriam and Gebel! Maybe alternate costumes too as they develop!

I enjoy the concept of a clock system in games--it can be either a novel element or tied closer to the flow and progression of the game and I find it a fun little detail either way. However I have to agree with Thomas--if it was a true 24 hour time clock many players who do not have the time to play during daylight hours would be missing out on content that only occurred during the day. Perhaps if the system was more akin to Skyrim or Fallout where there is simply a 'wait' option where you could switch between day and night times if you were in no immediate danger, otherwise time flows normally. This way you could experience both night-side and day-side versions of the castle at your leisure.

First and foremost, the Puppet Master is a pain to take on solo. I enjoyed how he moved about the stage, but felt that he was a little one note...I don't mind losing to a boss with a complex pattern if it means I learn just what it takes to take them down a notch. I'm eager to see just what IGA brings to Bloodstained...the unique and varied locales of the castle can always lend a fun element to boss battle. Fighting Frankenstein's Monster in the Alchemy Lab? Force him into the vat of acid you had to jump over earlier and watch as it peels off a quarter of his health! I don't mind straight up damage races as long as they're memorable though!

While we're getting away from the topic of traditional weapons I think something like the Six Demon Bag would be a wonderful addition to this style of game. Imagine Miriam holding a large sack under one arm as she's confronted by an enemy. She leaps into the air to target it's head--the weak point--and opens the mouth of the bag. Out shoots a torrent of scything wind, but the next attack is a column of searing fire! This rare weapon would represent the five elements (wood, fire, earth, metal, water and wind) and is randomized each time you attack with it. Perhaps not a top-tier weapon...but not all of them can be!

"All of these final attacks are all well and good..." Constanz said as he glanced around at his allies summoning their most powerful spells and allies to come in and destroy the monster."Me? I'm more old school...there's only one way to take down a massive beast like this." Turning away from the beast be begins rummaging through his backpack and starts tossing out dozens and dozens of hammers! ay_zDs|O1-201-61-20ยท1-6
