I only barely played around with shards during my playthrough of the demo but I noticed that after upgrading the Bone Throw shard through Johannes it started throwing out two bones instead of one. That's, uh, rather hefty upgrade. On the other hand I also did the same upgrade for the Axe Throw and it didn't seem to change anything. No more axes, no damage increase... maybe, just maybe increase in axe flight speed but that might've been my imagination. Needs more testing I guess.
As for Sword Mastery shard I think I saw some discussion on discord channel that it might be increasing attack speed of swords rather than damage. Worth trying out maybe?

Played for a little bit, thus far fun but I've got three small suggestions to make:
1) The choice between english and japanese VO should be a menu toggle in options. Hiding it away behind a secret button combination is a bit silly.
2) I really hope the full release has proper keyboard support. Personally I don't have a problem using a gamepad, but I know some people will. In fact one of my friends, who is interested in the game, avoids gamepads as a plague.
3) This one is likely a pipe dream but it'd be nice if one could switch in options between XBox button prompts and Playstation button prompts, for those of us who use some form of Dualshock controller. Note: I'm saying "switch in option" and not "automatic detection" because most ways of using DS4 on PC involve tricking windows into thinking it's a XBox 360 controller.

As someone who spent the $60 I say release all the content to everyone. Maybe, just maybe, have the content locked behind a DLC that non-backers will need to pay for, but making it exclusive is - capital D - Dumb.

I'm terribad at the whole description thing so I'll keep things short. If you ever played or heard of Doom the Roguelike (or DoomRL) - it's the same guy making a game in the same vein but with grander scope, you should know what to expect. If DoomRL and/or roguelike genre don't ring a bell - imagine if someone took original Doom, turned it into a turn based game with ASCII "graphics" and bit of RPG mixed in. And then it was awesome. That was DoomRL. Jupiter Hell is supposed to be more of the same but with option for "normal" graphics and nothing that could turn into an IP lawsuit, and thus has potential to be awesome too.
...or you know, you probably should watch the video pitch, it'll probably explain things better. Me, I'm just spreading the word because Kornel is a friend.

I do. I prefer to get the games from platforms where I just download the installer *cough*GoG*cough* download so that I can backup that on some external drive but I've no issue with Steam and other digital platforms either. Sure there is a risk of those going down but it's not like physical media are perfectly safe either - I haven't had a digital platform die on me yet, but I had plenty of discs and disc drives go faulty on me back in the day.
...and let's be honest, for PC games at least, if Steam would go down I'd pirate the shit out of any games I bought there without batting an eyelash. I paid the money, that makes it fair game as far as I'm concerned.

Not sure if it fits definition of "music video" (it's advertised as a short film for what it's worth), but I feel it deserves sharing for those who haven't run into it yet. Prepare for feelsPorter Robinson & Madeon - Shelter

If Switch really happens to be a handheld device with console-level performance and decent battery life, it would be Nintendo's killing machine. Unless Nintendo made the biggest breakthrough in commercial battery design in decades, this isn't gonna happen. For what it's worth I recently read that somewhere (MIT I think?) there was some sort of breakthrough, and they're testing batteries with twice the capacity of the ones we use now. But that was fairly recent so I doubt it applies to Switch.

Still trying to decide if I feel it's another Nintendo gimmick or actually a good idea. Anyhow what bugs me that NX/NS being (partially) a mobile console makes New 3DS look like even more of a cash grab than it was. *sigh* Grumbling aside, while looking for some more info I run into an article on arstechnica making educated guesses at Switch's capabilities. The interesting bit here is that backwards compatibility seems unlikely.

Just finished beating XCOM 2 on Commander/Ironman. Not sure what game I'll pick up next. Probably something less intense. Maybe I'll just pick up alligator wrestling instead...

That entrance hall is absolutely AMAZING. All those cool arches and lighting effects just made me feel warm and fuzzy. But...505 games? The guys that shoved Payday 2 full of microtransactions until the creators bought it from them and removed them? Iv'e heard very little positive about them lately, and until we find out just what capacity they are involved, consider me very nervous. According to a friend of mine - who plays Payday 2 and keeps track of those things - supposedly that's not true. He says Overkill came out and admitted that microtransations were their fault. Make of that what you will.

In the process of hyping myself up for console release of XCOM 2 (hell, it's about time), I'm torturing my outdated laptop by playing XCOM: Enemy Within modded with Long War (poor thing nearly overheats).

Telekinesis, easily. If years of reading X-Men taught me anything it's that with powerful enough T/K and good enough imagination there is very little you can't do. Plus hell, even minor uses would be practical in everyday life.

The important thing to remember is if it was created by a Japanese animation studio, it's anime. If it was not, then it isn't. Which leads to a frankly hilarious situation where the Moomin TV series from 1990 (ah, childhood memories) is technically an anime.

Also still need to put some more hours into Fire Emblem Fates... damn, I'm slacking.

I'm probably one of the few on the planet not playing it. *high five* Technically I couldn't even if I wanted to since I lack a smartphone but I have no interest anyway. Kind of stopped on... fourth or fifth gen depending on how you count... when it comes to pokemon. Ironically I might still get faced with it since I'm going to a MtG even tommorow and I've already seen people worried they might face people who get distracted from the event by Pokemon Go. This might get interesting.

Ps4 is region free right? can't you just import a us copy or a uk copy with english? No idea honestly. If this is possible though the big question is what servers you'd be playing after importing - the eu or us ones. Because if it's the later than the lag could be a killer.

Lmao, China strikes again!
For the record, Blizzard did diddly squat in regards to the issue, other than reopening the original thread on the issue in technical subforum. A thread in general discussion reached the post cap, ignored. The thread in technical subforum churns on, ignored except the posts about closing and then reopening it. They can't quite hang up on people callig customer service so instead they have CS tell them bullshit on how it's Sony's fault (aside from being obviously dumb reply, Sony's customer service also says language is a thing that developer handles, not them). I'd call this a PR disaster but I guess nobody enough about East Europe to raise enough stink.
