For the DLC question:
If Full story content expansion actually means more castle to explore, then I hope to God that everyone voted for it.
My runner ups were between Multiplayer/co-op and the Castle editor option. I am really torn between those 2 and I forget which one I voted for as my second vote. If that was actually a 3 vote option (can't remember), then I must have voted for all 3, but I really hope we get all 3.
I hope nobody voted the skins option since we're getting some anyway, and to just get more skins in place of actual playable DLC content would really suck in my opinion.

I have no doubt that there will probably be save rooms like in the past, which I am perfectly fine with, but do you think that the pickup-and-setdown convenience of most modern games with checkpoints and/or manual saves work well in an Igavania of 2018?

Voted console, mainly because I'm a console guy basically. This may sound weird but, I always felt like my game progress on consoles mattered more, because of the trophy/achievement systems (it's like having an official game resume) which proves you did what you did. When someone tells me that they beat a game on PC, then for all I know they could have modded or used mods or cheated by making themselves invincible, etc.. I know that not everyone cares about that kind of stuff, but I do mostly for games of this magnitude that I really really care about.
I'm also torn between PS4 or Xbone since I play both. I'd like to get it for Switch, but game saves are currently locked to the physical Switch with no cloud or any other method of retrieving a lost game save, which scares me.

As fun as this may sound, I think it could cause problems down the road. Amiibos are after all physical microtransactions. After the recent EA thing, mts are in a bad spotlight right now. Bad publicity for Bloodstained if it had any IMO.

I would prefer that these randomly generated missions/castles give you the seed (like in Minecraft) from the very start, so that if you fail, you can still share the seed with the community to see if a better player can beat it. It would also help create more buzz for the game since youtubers would constantly be making "best Roguelike Dungeon discoveries of the week" or something. Why miss out on a "greatest discovery" if the discoverer dies before sharing? Just a thought.

I'm really hoping that our "names in the credits" make it on disc. I mean they would have to be right? Any base game needs credits, but the list will be very long and I hope the full version of the credits make it on disc so I can feel good about my name being on every physical copy. Anyone know?

I would love to see IGA follow his own footsteps towards what he did with the 3D Castlevanias he made. Basically a 3D Bloodstained like his 3D Castlevanias, but with better detail and better level design. I'm sure he can pull it off without konami breathing down his neck this time.

I gotta admit, I did love the underground stuff in SOTN, because it felt to me like I was discovering something ancient that wasn't supposed to be there which made it special. I do agree that the Castle should still be huge in all directions, towers, basement, roof, etc.. Hopefully it will be "Skyrim" big, though that might be asking too much.

1. Just a little heavier than SOTN, unless it's all in-game stuff like how Skyrim was with it's heavy plot scenes that were all in-game without short films being used.

13. I'd rather not choose and just see what happens.
14. Weapon's heavy, but they can still have magic to them too. I just like the idea of finding or earning a physical item and it makes me feel more like I'm actually hitting the enemy rather than just holding my hand out and burning them or cutting them with a ghostly sword.
15. I guess, but I'd like some items to be level based too, like seeing a new sword in the store when I hit level 50 or something.
16. I like the way SOTN did it the most.
17. I don't know enough about the characters to have an opinion.

I think they should hide an entire secret section of the castle so damn well that it would take years to find. Imagine that it's the winter of 2024, you've just beaten Bloodstained 3 or 4, and you hear in gaming news that some kid on youtube claims to have discovered a new level in Bloodstained 1. Then imagine that IGA confirms that discovery to be one of 2 undiscovered levels in Bloodstained 1. The original Halo trilogy is believed to still contain many undiscovered secrets. One was just found in Halo 3 just a couple of years ago and H3 came out 10 years ago. I think stuff like this in games is fascinating. It gives them a mystic quality that makes them more special and mysterious. I hope this game is jam-packed with endless secrets that have us Easter egg hunting for years. I also hope that said secrets are safely hidden from hackers or data miners or whatever they're called. I'd hate for a big secret to be spoiled by someone messing around in the game's code. Your thoughts? Note: I'm making this thread from the point of view of a hard core expert Easter egg hunter. EDIT: Oops, I probably should of posted this in Game Feature Suggestions, but oh well.. Mods feel free to move this thread if needed.

Nothing timed. Example: Long special challenge or collect the orbs in under 2 minutes. I hate timed anything, period.
I like the early Halo Legendary's type of challenges; hard as hell, but I have all the time in the world to do it.

Just a thought that came to me at random. Most games don't have button mapping, but I hope this one does. I'm sure I'm just over thinking things, but maybe the devs will see this and say, "oh yea, lets get Fred to add button mapping while he waits for us to finish those Clock Tower gears.
EDIT: Another thought that came to mind that's sort of related to the above, is the option to invert the up and down for any features that might use them, like a 3d map feature or having to aim a canon in a boss fight or something. Just a thought.

I'm with OP on this. I also feel the sting of a bad choice from a bad poll. That poll should have never happened at all, because the only people who could vote were like the 2% that even knew that there was a poll at all, and the majority of them just happened like cartoons more than the immersive mystic style game that it could have been. I hope Bloodstained 2 doesn't make this same mistake.
