I was wondering about this too, but also for Xbox Scorpio since both PS4 Pro and Scorpio will be the dominant systems by the time Bloodstained comes out. I'm hoping the game will make some use of the extra power.

According to my calculations, Bloodstained 2 won't need a kickstarter. Bloodstained 1 should wipe the floor clean. I would actually prefer a 100% IGA Bloodstained 2 game without the community eyeliner.

The most realistic answer I can come up with would be, footage of the development teams in action with an interview or 2, footage of a new environment and a new enemy or weapon, clarification of the Switch version, and confirmation that green tea is in fact in the game as an usable item.

My expectations aren't that high since it's free and all, and I'd rather them focus their resources on the main game first and foremost, but I can't help but to wonder what this little mysterious mini-game will be like. I think it would be neat if it was like a short 16 bit metroidvania similar to the GBA games or just an 8 bit procedurally generated castle that just went on forever.
Anyone else curious?

1. No limits for anything. I hate limits. This is why I hold SOTN in such high regard. 99 was perfect. The smartest thing to do for Bloodstained would be to make things like health potions really hard to get and very expensive, so that players are forced to think carefully before burning up 20 potions on one boss, but never cap off the amount you can get, because that spoils the fun in earning them.
2. I actually don't have an opinion on the rest at this time.

I don't recall this being a problem in previous IGA games, but if anything could ruin a good new game, then it's a duplication glitch or some other kind of way of cheating the game to make it go by too quick and spoil the fun. I've personally ruined many games for myself from just hearing about glitches online. I'm not trying to start any trouble with this thread. I'm just throwing this out there so that maybe the devs can see this and be reminded that there are going to be cheaters and glitchers out there trying their very hardest to break their game just to make a few youtube videos about it.
Again, I'm just throwing this out there so it can be said. Peace!
EDIT: As an example, I used a glitch in Rainbow Six Vegas 2 when it first came out where I could shoot a glitched enemy in the head over and over again that let me unlock a years worth of stuff and hit max rank in under 3 hours. That was a fun 3 hours, but I never played Rainbow Six Vegas 2 again and everyone in multiplayer was also max rank by week 1 or 2.

I made some changes to my backer surveys to get the most out of this game.
PS4 - digital (to play)
PS4 - physical (lender disc)
PC - digital (just for beta access)
Xbox One - physical Japanese version signed (I predicted this one to be the rarest copy of the game and the most collectible in the long run.)

I personally loved Lament of Innocence and Curse of Darkness, but I'm almost certain that IGA only made them because konami pressured him into doing so. I remember the biggest complaints of those games being the lack of detail and bad level design. With today's technology and no time pressing konomi, I think IGA could pull off a well made 3D Bloodstained, but should he?

I wish I was around for the voting, because I really wanted the more realistic griddy style of SOTN. This whole cartoony look really takes away a lot of the "feel" for me. I'm sure if there were more non-forum original SOTN players aware of this game the voting would have went the other way.

My main will be on PS4, but since it appears that (as I predicted) the XB1 version will be rare, as well as a Japanese version of it, my collectors one that I won't open will be just that.

It's probably the PCs people are running them on. I have the demo and my PC sucks, so the frame rate is bad. I've seen other gameplay videos that looked a lot smoother. I think it's the PCs and the way the demo runs on them. I'm almost sure the console versions will run a lot better since console games are optimized to run on only one machine.

I had another thread like this in the general discussion area, but thought I'd post it here too.
So yep. I thought Castlevania HD on XBL was amazing and always thought that it would make a great addition to a full blown IGAvania game. If the main game was like SOTN with optional coop, while a completely separate multiplayer mode was just like Castlevania HD then I think this would be the greatest game ever made. Just my 2 cents on that.

If I remember correctly, the Japanese versions of Castlevania had more uncut artwork in them than the US versions, because the Japanese games had things like boobs on some of the statues and other things that weren't in the US versions (not sure about European versions).
I got 2 physical copies coming. My main will be the PS4 version that I play the most, but I also got the XB1 Japanese version for collectors purposes (since the backer versions of these may be the rarest) and for the chance that the Japanese version would have the extra art stuff that other country's versions might not have.
What are your thoughts on this?
EDIT: Another example of what I'm talking about is how Sake from the Japanese Castlevania SOTN was replaced with Green Tea in the US version. Apparently somebody, somewhere didn't want Alucard drinking alcohol in America. lol
