Whichever extra character we get, I hope he/she will also be able to level up and collect weapons and other items like Miriam can, unlike how Richter from SOTN seemed more like a retro throw in, unless people really liked it that way.
Also, Zengetsu because he's a badass!

I was curious if the soundtrack will include both the orchestrated tracks and the original tracks. I think it should include both, but that's just me.

I just want to be surprised by innovation. I also hope that there are large secret areas so well hidden, that they could take years to find. I love mysteries.
I hope this game will always contain undiscovered secrets, because once a secret is discovered, it loses it's magic and just becomes information.

Here's just a few of my nit pickings to help out.
1. I felt like I had to hold the jump button just a little too long to get a full jump in, and when I just tap the button to get a little jump, the jump I get is too little. I don't remember the other Igavania games being like this. This could just be my PC running slow, so there's that to consider.
2. When hopping down through a platform to a lower level, it looks weird going through the platform itself. It would look better and more realistic to show Miriam's character model overlap the platform texture as she's falling through it.
3. Miriam's attack yells, grunts, and other vocals that she does when swinging her weapons seem a bit loud and over the top in my opinion. If she could just tone it down a bit, it would be less annoying.
4. Miriam's mouth movements make her look like she has peanut butter stuck to the roof of her mouth. The other dude character looked better and more normal when he talked.
5. The crate that doesn't move.
Other than that stuff, everything else is great for the most part. Can't wait for the full game!

I have the game, but not the system. I plan on getting a ps1 or ps2 on ebay just to play it in a more nostalgic way than the Xbox version. I know that ps2 is back compat with ps1 games, so I'm leaning towards getting a ps2, but I've also heard that ps2 does a crappy job playing some ps1 games and some games won't work at all.
Have any of you played Symphony on both ps1 and ps2? Which one runs the game better?

I gave it a 5, because it was way better than I expected and feels like it's worth more than the $10 price tag. My real rating would be a 4.8 if it was an option, because nothing's perfect. Issues on 3DS and Xbox make it not perfect, but I found no problems on PS4 and Switch versions. I don't have it on PC, so I can't comment there.

I have a strong feeling that most, if not all of the enemies and music from COTM will be in ROTN in some way or another. I think that, because of that one stage in COTM that was obviously inspired by that one stage from the first ROTN demo we got. Plus, IGA's name is mentioned a lot in the credits, as well as Michiru Yamane being on top of the music credits.
Boss Shards? I want to be surprised, so I'll try not to think about it too much. lol..

I'll solo the crap out of it my first run through, then help my friend out on his run through since I just know he'll get stuck at a magic door or something and not know how to effectively google the solution. (He did this in SOTN,*facepalm*)

Why can't they make the map as a jigsaw puzzle? That way, if you really want to find the secret rooms, you'll have to fix the puzzle first Holy crap, that's a great idea. I would love this. Beat the game, solve the puzzle, go back and find the hidden rooms!

Yep, I noticed a lot of slow down on my 3DS version every here and there throughout my playthroughs. It wasn't gamebreaking for me though, since the slow downs actually gave me time to react to what was attacking me on the screen. lol..
EDIT: My 3DS is the "New 3DS XL" version.

Incase anyone's wondering, here's how to unlock all the modes that I'm aware of so far: *EDITED*
Nightmare Mode = beat the game on Normal.
Ultimate Mode = Play on Normal, but kill your 3 allies when you first see them instead of talking to them, then beat the game solo. (I call this "Zangetsu's solo murder mode" since I don't think there's an official name for it.) *see notes below*
Boss Rush Mode = Beat both Normal and Zangetsu's solo murder mode.
NOTES: I beat Ultimate mode and nothing different happened, although I did notice that Zangetsu had a new power attack in Ultimate Mode while holding down the attack button. It helped me break the only door you can't break any other way. (I'll edit in which level on my next play-through, since I forgot.) The new path was just a shortcut and nothing more if I'm not mistaken.
Also, I think Boss Rush Mode only unlocks when you you've beaten both Normal and Zangetsu's solo murder mode. I think this is the case, because I just started playing again on a different platform and made my first playthrough the Zangetsu solo version and this time only Ultimate Mode unlocked, so I think you have to also beat Normal for Boss Rush Mode to unlock.

I didn't realize that there were still modern TVs that had burn-in problems. I like the idea of HUD elements very slowly bobbing up and down, like a floating island. That could look pretty chill. Yep. Any new OLED as far as I know.

I think it would be cool to have an anti-burn-in option that makes the health and magic bar move slowly around a few pixels at a time to help prevent image retention on TVs that are prone to retaining images that are always on screen. That or a screensaver that kicks in after about 10 minutes of inactivity, like how Skyrim does by default.
I have an OLED TV, so I'm a little concerned about this.

Are you going to look at it when you first get it and risk spoiling the game for yourself, or are you going to wait until you beat it first?
I'm torn between the two. I'd like to take a good enough glance at it to know if it arrived undamaged and defect free, but then again I might see something like a hidden room that sticks in my memory. (I'd rather find hidden rooms and any other secrets myself.)
Also, if I wait and play the game first, then the thought of having the full map ready to go like a side arm will be very tempting to resist. lol
If you're getting the map, are you going to look at it before playing the game?
