Doppelganger comes out of the portal straight onto the stage, no background elements
paranoia isnt affectable unless its on the stage but the mirror beams are essentially a stage hazard
balore is another combination boss with attackable hands and stage hazard attacks
sotn dracula has dual stage hitboxes as well as a background section and creates stage hazards
Theres the cv4 paintings that grab you but i dont think they do damage
Theres probably a couple more

Lol, my bf got me hooked on it last year, i really wish theyd fix their audio and boost it before they upload, cause a lot of their youtube vids are the quietest vids ive ever seen, and i can get grumps playing so loud i can hear it across the house

well, they said there would be no new characters, so i dont think advent or crisis chars could be considered, but maybe zack could skirt that since he is in the original, just not playable, you do have sephy in your party for one section and aerith is a party member, so theyd be the most likely to be back in if anything, do like the idea of costumes, im actually really hoping they change the equipped weapons like they did in the original

So much yes, we need to flood squeenix with requests for ng+, and having those 2 have a secret ng+ only questline to add them (or at least aerith, maybe hojo had a secret lab that contains sephy and aerith clones, part of her soul could inhabit one body and sephy is from the numbers project, and as you progress both bodies are slowly dying due to the process not being perfect, and after the final battle they are put to rest and then the world 'resets' through ng+) to your party would be awesome, itd give options for people who want classic, ng+, and ng+ with extra content
also, possible voices, yay

• Lords of Shadow is scored a lot like a Hollywood movie and not so much like a video game. That's why a lot of the music is atmospheric but doesn't really pop or stand out to you. It lacks a "hum-ability" factor that is often important in old school video game OSTs such as the Castlevania series. • I think a Concert Hall or a Music Parlor that doubles as a sound test sounds awesome for a backer hidden room. Yeah, theres not much in los that makes you wanna grab your sword and go hack up the neighborhood bushes and explore the woods around the park, the boss themes are cacophanies with no hook, the atmospheric themes drone on in the background and half the time you forget theyre there because combat takes up all your focus, and whats sad is the one callback in the game is epic, well implemented, and unexpected, i think if the music design had built each song around a verse that you could actually hum, itd be way more memorable than 'generic fantasy movie soundtrack #8' As for the sound test theater, thatd be awesome, have a ghostly orchestra playing way in the background (have caricatures of the dev team with Iga conducting) and you take a seat to pick a song for them to play, and watch the epic unfold ^_^

[SPECULATION] Something tells me part 1 will be up till you leave midgar with an expanded story and a bunch of added sidequests, which would be hilarious to me cause when i first got ff7 i played all the way to motor ball and died... without a memory card >.<

Albw has a decent difficulty curve, it focuses more on exploration and puzzles than straight difficulty, and they do make good use of all the items and merging throughout, you dont end up with a bunch of items you use in 1.1 dungeons and 1 heart piece, lttp is fairly accurate just even more nonlinear except for 1 item

That would make for a really nice boss fight, and a massive frame with ortho panels to allow the boss to slip in and out of different parts of an illusory 2d object could really keep the player on their toes

I posted this on the Bloodstained Kickstarter page’s latest post a while back, and I don’t think it made its way here. (Whereas I saw some of the images here later posted on the Kickstarter page.) It is another take on the mood/tone for the lighting of the room by an associate of mine: bit.ly/1R5mA6w (This was a quick edit, and the light streams were just an optional, rough effect in terms of brainstorming extra details.) The main focus here was making the atmosphere moodier.) I think it's another example that moves us closer to what we may be looking for. thats pretty cool, the lightstreams are a nice touch, you can still see the architectural details and the bookcase, the colors arent muted, and there are areas of darkness where things could pop out or be illuminated if lightning flashed outside or a flaming enemy came barrelling through, and miriam stands out and is instantly identifiable, this would work well for an area that was close to the outer edges/walls of the castle, where things are more exposed to the elements and theres more of a focus on natural light

As a gaming experience, each entry will have the volume of content equal to a full-sized game.” thats the rest of the quote from the translated famitsu interview, so far i approve of everything theyve done, theyve straight up said crossdressing cloud is in the game, the atb system is still in its just been updated to be more 'actiony', kind of like how characters and enemies will move around in star ocean, theyve stated this is done specifically so they wont have to cut anything out and itll let them add stuff back in, barrets and clouds designs look like an updated form of Nomuras artwork for the original game and cloud so far has been his arrogant ass self and barrets got his wallet, so im happy that they havent been changing the characters to be more pc, wedges voice needs a little audio work, but i actually think the voice fits him really well, hes a scared guy with almost no self confidence whos doing what he thinks right (and hoping itll make him famous in the process) btw, anybody ever notice the TEXAS sign in ff7? >P

I like it when there are not-entirely-obvious ways to traverse jump gaps that are otherwise impossible (or just extremely hard) with things like timing a familiar transformation at the right time, etc, just to reach an item/extra earlier than you would have otherwise. Iga seems to like making hard to reach spots for items, secrets and extras, but having them in the way of actual progression I can agree with avoiding. I'd rather it be a matter of using an ability/relic correctly than standing on the pixel edge of a platform...unless again, managing to make that jump just means you get some gear or something a little before you would have normally after acquiring double jump, whatever "bat" ends up being, etc. Jumps have their place, you just don't want them to frustrate you in a part of a game where you -have- to make the jump D: ...even Souls games are good about this. The jumps are almost always to side areas. I do agree with this, Having difficult jumps to secret areas or out of the way items doesnt detract from the enjoyment of the main game, and provides an extra bit of satisfaction when you make it, in fact i think it would be a good thing if some areas meant for after you get a movement power could still be traversed with precicion platformingwithout it, that way people who want to give themselves extra challenges could do no doublejump runs, attention to things like that and the speedrun community greatly extend the lifespan of a game once youve beaten it a few times and are looking for new ways to play it

=/ you make it sound like everyone who hates platforming has no skill...somehow I doubt you think that, but that's how that comes across.. No, no, that's not what I meant at all. I apologize if it came off that way. It's just the way Iga said he wants to avoid tricky platforming, when his previous games each had at least a few instances of tricky platforming, set off the alarm bells in my head. I just don't want him to make the game too easy, or to rely solely on enemies with huge health pools for difficulty or something. Platforming played a big part in his previous games and it'd be nice if the platforming in Bloodstained wasn't extremely easy. I'm not talking Super Meat Boy type stuff, but just something in line with his older games or even the classic Castlevanias. well, what i think he means by precision jumps is some platforming games will have many jumps where you have to be running and on the last pixel of the platform to make a jump (faxanadu has a ton of these, its one of the few things i dislike about that game), im sure there will be tricky jumps like there was in sotn (the 2 jumps in the outer wall and the colosseum come to mind, and quite a few items in PoR)

Im partial to level+items, but that lvls reset on ng+ and mastery (if its in) you get the choice to reset for a harder game or keep for an easier one
That coupled with my xp/gold/mastery freezing relics suggestion would give you a huge amount of control in how easy or difficult your game is based on your preference
