Both, gonna go with physical Wii U version and as for the digital version well I haven't made up my mind yet about which platform to go with but it will either be PC or Xbox One.

I was originally gonna go with one of the whip clans (Cat O Nine Tails), but then decided to go with the AlphaOmegaSin Youtube Clan instead because each clan has a unique weapon associated with it (if I remember correctly in the case of the Youtuber clans the weapons are designed by the Youtubers themselves) and I think Alpha's weapon might end up being pretty badass.

Pretty smart...this should boost sales of the One version, which otherwise would likely sell the least of the versions. I only see one sword for the new guy. Looks pretty good, fills a type of character that wasn't around before. I wonder if he'll be like...Maxim? More focused on sword specal attacks? Though it's not explicitly stated that the guy is a -playable- character, I'm assuming he is. Yeah I thought that was weird even though they do say at the briefing that he is a dual sword wielding character.

I believe you can go back to watch the segment by clicking on the back half of the play bar, it's (as of this post) at the -25 min mark there is also now a article about it over at Polygon and Yahoo Polygon articleThe basic gist of the announcement was to confirm cross play between the Xbox One & Windows 10 versions of the game.

Was watching the Xbox Gamescom briefing and during the Xbox ID segment they (as the title implies) had IGA and Ben Judd come out to announce a few new features for the Xbox One & Windows 10 versions of Bloodstained. They also revealed a new character who is a un nammed dual sword wielding demon hunter. EDIT: Polygon article

Figured it was time to do an update since it's been a few weeks since my last post so here goes.
Killer Instinct - Haven't played it too much since my last post as I've been playing other games (See below), but I have completed story mode with at least 3 Season 2 characters and 3 Season 1 characters so that's a start.
Ori and the Blind Forest - Just like KI I haven't played too much of this game since my last post (but enough to get to the Spirit Tree and begin traveling to the first of four main areas) and unless I get on a major platforming kick (which is a real possibility especially with Rare Replay coming out soon) I will probably continue to play this game on & off until I finish it.
Mortal Kombat X - Started & finished story mode which I thought was a bit meh before moving on to tackle the Klassic tower, trying to beat it with each of the game's characters so I can see their individual endings. So far I've unlocked the endings for several of the game's 20 + characters (Jason, Predator, Scorpion, Mileena, Kitana, Reptile, and Sub Zero) as well as about a quarter of the content in the Krypt.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare - Overall it isn't a bad game as it imo had a semi decent if not predictable story and the online multiplayer really hasn't changed that much since the last CoD I played (Black Ops 2) which is both a good thing and a bad thing depending on how you look at it.
Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious Standalone Edition - Overall I enjoyed the game, but not enough to go out and purchase Forza Horizon 2 as it is (imo) still a bit too simulation based for my tastes.
Batman: Arkham Knight - Since my last post I went through and cleared out all but 2 of the 12 achievements I hadn't gotten yet (I'm only missing the Red Hood DLC achievement and the achievement for beating the game in New Game + mode) as well as played through the "A Matter of Family" DLC which was imo a bit on the short side, hopefully the game's upcoming DLC will be a bit longer.
New additions/upcoming games I will be playing : Final Fantasy Type - 0 HD (found a sealed copy of the Day One Edition online for $20 through the Amazon marketplace, got it mostly out of curiosity cause I haven't played any of the non turn based FF games before, so it should be interesting, it'll be arriving at my door within the next week)
Rare Replay (pre-ordered via Microsoft's online store, getting it mainly because of Battletoads & Conker's Bad Fur Day)
Tomb Raider: The Definitive Edition (wasn't originally gonna pick this up since I had it on the PS3, but at $10 with all the DLC included I couldn't resist double dipping on this awesome game)

When it comes to music I typically levitate towards Rock, Metal, and Pop though I do occasionally dabble in listening to Rap, Classical/orchestral, Techno, as well as J-Pop in rare instances. My favorite bands/artists (so far) include Aerosmith, AC/DC, The Beatles, The Black Eyed Peas, Eminem, John Williams (this dude is responsible for some of the most iconic movie scores in movie history including the JAWS theme, the Indiana Jones theme, Home Alone, the original Star Wars trilogy movie scores and more), Marilyn Manson, Metallica, Michael Jackson, Queen, Rob Zombie, and Weird Al Yankovich to name a few.

While this isn't exactly a gaming Kickstarter it is gaming and comic book related so I thought I should do a post talking about it in case it might interest some of you. I recently came across this Kickstarter for D.C. based metal band A Sound of Thunder's latest album "Shadowman: Tales from the Deadside", which was inspired and based around the latest incarnation (2012-present) of the Shadowman comic book character. For those who are not familiar with the Shadowman comics they were created by Valiant Comics in the early 90's and were basically about a New Orleans Jazz Musician named Jack Boniface who one night meets a mysterious woman who leaves him with a mysterious (voodoo?) mark on his body that ends up turning him into a (Voodoo?) spirit that hunts the reanimated corpses of the dead (that were resurrected by a Voodoo Necromancer named Master Darque) once night falls. The comic books were so successful that the story was adapted into video game form by Acclaim Entertainment in 1999 for the Playstation, Dreamcast, PC, and N64. The game was successful enough despite mixed reviews to garner a sequel (Shadow Man: Second Coming) a few years later for the PS2. An interesting little side note here that (kinda) ties into Bloodstained, A Sound of Thunder's previous album (which was funded via Kickstarter) was called "The Lesser Key of Solomon" which (if I remember correctly) is the name of the book that the monsters of Bloodstained are being based upon. If you are curious about the band you can view the music video for Udoroth (from A Sound of Thunder's "The Lesser Key of Solomon" album) here or visit their website hereIf you are interested you can visit the Shadowman:Tales from the Deadside Kickstarter here

I actually un-pledged my $5, since I feel there's no point in me pledging that little, and I don't want to pledge more. I'll definitely buy it when it comes out in stores. My understanding is that there is currently no guarantee that it (a physical copy of the game) will come out in stores outside of the digital Steam and the PSN/SEN store fronts. So if you want a physical version the Kickstarter might be your only bet. www.gameskinny.com/iyugp/shenmue-3-may-not-see-a-physical-retail-release

Figured I'd do a little post to let others who visit this thread know that even though the Kickstarter is over the people behind this game have teamed up with Humble Bundle to set up a PayPal for game pre-orders (which you can find at www.thedeependgames.com/preorders/) and will be using the funds raised from it to fund additional stretch goals like additional modes & release platforms/consoles.

Yeah, their fanbase does come across as pretty whiny and crybaby-ish sometimes... OK, -very- frequently... "We know you've told us you have no money, but pledge another $50!" That was one of the things that kinda turned me off on this Kickstarter after the first week (almost to the point of cancelling my pledge) along with the silence/misinformation (they still haven't gotten their d@mn story straight on what's Sony's involvement and whether it prevents a Xbox One/NX version from being released/made available to backers) from Y's Net, and Japan Awesome's (I think that's who's running this Kickstarter) poorly designed reward tiers (like a $80 for a physical copy of the game as well as a g***amn in game product placement phone card, or a $1800 tier where you get to name a f***ing in game fishing pole, or tying 95% of the in game backer exclusive content to the $160+ tiers) that imo make the current pre-order/special edition culture look tame by comparison.

Congrats to Shenmue III on getting the record for highest funded video game Kickstaters. On a personal level I kinda feel like it's a slap in the face that such a (imo) terribly run Kickstarter (tone deft reward tiers, lack of communication, not listening to backer feed back, generally poor media awareness/presence,etc.) has surpassed one of, if not the best run Kickstarters in recent memory and I hope (though given my current pessimistic mood it won't happen) that even though the record has fallen that future Kickstarters will look to Bloodstained instead of Shenmue III as the pinnacle of Kickstarters.

At the moment I've got Rare Replay, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and Rise of the Tomb Raider pre-ordered (MGS V & Rare Replay is all paid off, but RotTR isn't) and as far as games I'm looking forward to go well there's
Fatal Frame V: Maiden of Black Water
Gears of War 4
Super Mario Maker
Final Fantasy XV
Final Fantasy VII Remake (really hoping they port it to Xbox One and not just PC)
I've also backed 3 other games via Kickstarter that I'm looking to play:
Shenmue III - Dec 2017 (physical PC version) Perception - June 2016 (Physical PC Collector's Edition, though I'm hoping that PS4 & Xbox 1 versions will be available due to paypal post campaign funding) Project Scissors: NightCry - Dec 2015 (Digital PC version)

Looks like it was a good thing that I decided to wait for the Xbox Ultimate Game Sale cause I ended up getting Killer Instinct Season 2 Ultra Edition which was about half off ($24 instead of $40) and while I was at it I also ended up picking up Ori and the Blind Forrest for $15 because of all the positive things I had heard about the game. Outside of the sale I ended up picking up the standalone digital version of Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious (got it because it was basically "sampler" version of Forza Horizon 2 and I wanted to see if it would be the first Forza game I'd actually end up enjoying), Mortal Kombat X (playing through Killer Instinct and seeing the new Predator character trailer got me itching to play Mortal Kombat X), the Jason Vorhees bundle (I'll also be picking up the Predator bundle when it comes out), and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Gold Edition. So far I've played a few hours (about 2 hrs or more) of each game and I am for the most part enjoying playing through all of them. Though I gotta say I was honestly not expecting (in a good way, cause it imo really did a good job of setting the tone for the game. Also I came into this game pretty much blind as most of the positive comments I read/saw about the game were very spoiler free) the opening to Ori and the Blind Forest to get as dark as it did towards the end with Ori and his buddy/caregiver essentially starving to death before the game even properly starts, it was seriously giving me a Bambi and Fox & the Hound vibe.

Finished Arkham Knight the day I got it, been playing bits and pieces of Shovel Knight every now and then, and I purchased a Wii U today. Hoping to get SSB on it soon, and Bayonetta 2. Missed having a Nintendo console for a long while now. I have several games I am waiting for on Wii U this fall. Super Mario Maker Fatal Frame: Maiden of the Black Water Devils Third Xenoblade X and of course Harvest Moon Seeds of Memories Congrats H on getting a Wii U!, I've had mine since launch and would definitely recommend Bayonetta 2 (didn't care for the first one, but really really enjoyed Bayo 2), Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Super Mario 3D World, Zombi U (it's not like most first person zombie games, it's a bit slower, more survival horror like and has permadeath, but it's kinda cool being able to find & kill the zombified version of your previous character in order to get your gear back), and Mario Kart 8. I am also looking forward to Super Mario Maker & Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water, hopefully NoA will change course and do a physical release for Fatal Frame instead of going digital only.

Well last week I got an Xbox One (500 GB Master Chief Collection version) along with Batman: Arkham Knight (it was free with my system purchase) so I've been playing through that (last night I 100% completed the game's main mode and am now 12 Achievements shy of 100% completing it, most of them involving the AR Challenges and the Batmobile) and I've also been trying out the "free 2 play" version of Killer Instinct (never actually played a KI game before so was kinda curious about it) and it's honestly got me thinking about getting the digital only "Complete Collection" version. How are you liking Killer Instinct? Did you ever play it in the arcades growing up? So many fond memories of that game back at peter piper's pizza =) I liked it enough to go out and get the physical version of Season 1(what I've played of the F2P version kinda gave me a bit of a Street Fighter vibe), earlier this afternoon ( I also bought a $50 xbox gift card cause I'm thinking of getting the Season 2 Ultra Combo pack, but I'm gonna hold off until next week's Xbox Live Ultimate Summer Sale just in case it goes on sale) and no I didn't play Killer Instinct in the arcades (I tended to levitate to the Mortal Kombat 2 and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 arcade cabinets), but I had plenty of opportunities growing up as there were a lot of bowling alleys and putt putt places that had an arcade section.
