I would really like for the Menu in Bloodstained to have large fonts that are easy to read. This was posted in the "Castlevania art" thread: Notice how everything is easy to read. I also really like the menu in Darksiders. Here is a screenshot: Notice how, again, the fonts are large and easy to read. Also, I really like how the images for the weapons show up (large and detailed). I think it would be cool if the images for the equipped weapons in Bloodstained had a large, detailed image off to the side or something. Not sure if this would be possible in an IGAvania game though due to the number of weapons in the game. In Darksiders, you only have three main weapons: Chaoseater, Scythe, and Tremor Gauntlet. It would be a whole lot of work to set up large, high-res, detailed icons for each weapon in the game when there are literally hundreds of them. At any rate, this is the kind of menu I would love to have in Bloodstained.

I like the background music. At first it was a little too loud, but in the Mana broadcast, it was quieter and very non-intrusive. I say keep it like it was in the Mana broadcast.

Yes, this is true. Ah, House of Sacred Remains + the sound of picking up hearts in LoI is actually nostalgic for me.
(Also, Garden Forgotten by Time and Dark Palace of Waterfalls, Leon's Theme....dang, the list just keeps going....)

I loved figuring out what effect different orbs would have on what sub-items (much like how it is done with the books in Harmony of Dissonance). Everything about the gameplay is spot on in LoI. Level design could have used some work, but is something I forgive due to everything else being amazing.
As you have said, the atmosphere and feel of LoI is amazing and something I want replicated in Bloodstained.
Look and feel of Lament of Innocence (but in 2.5D) + Music at SotN level = Amazing game. (As long as combat and story are up to par......)

Awesome job, Mana! Thanks to IGA and team for making Bloodstained. 2017 seems a long way off, but small events like this and frequent updates help pass the time. Hopefully, we can do something like this again (or a few times before the development is done). A sugar-filled development team is a happy development team. Huh. I actually thought Mirror of Fate was pretty awesome. I agree with 1 and 4, but not the others. Also, were you playing the 3DS version or the HD version on PS3? The HD version looks much better and plays better since you have a proper sized controller in hand.
One thing that the Lords of Shadow series of games did right was the combat. In LoS, MoF, and LoS2, you can do an upward whip attack from the ground and follow it with jump to launch enemies. Then you can follow-up with an air combo. It makes for excellent combat while you play out the story--which is pretty good IMO.

Do we know if Bloodstained will send you back to the main menu after the Game Over screen as in some of the other IGAvanias? Or will it let you restart at a checkpoint or outside the room you died in? I prefer that it doesn't send you back to the main menu. I would rather have it save transparently every time you get an item (other than money, hearts, and other common items). Too many times have I lost a rare drop because after acquiring it, I couldn't make it to a save room. I would then find my game reset to the last save--with no awesome item drop. I've learned to deal with it, but I would prefer it to be handled some other way.
My preferred method is the way it works in Souls games. I like it that I can quit from the menu and when I reload later, the game starts at the exact spot where my character was standing when I quit out. All enemies already slain are still dead. It is very convenient if you have to quit your game suddenly.

I've used Zazzle (zazzle.com) in the past to create custom t-shirts with pictures of family members and such. I haven't looked into their policy on using images owned by others, but I imagine if you create an image yourself, then you can upload it and they will print it on the shirt for you.

Thinking about it, Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth was one of the last games IGA produced for Konami and the last Classicvania he was involved with. I have a feeling that the Classic Mode of this game may take a lot from that game (six linear stages for example). I've heard good things about Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth but I never got to play it myself. A full playthrough can be seen here. Did anyone here play it? How did you like it? I have both the original Castlevania: The Adventure on GameBoy and Castlevania: The Adventure Rebirth on Wii VC. I really enjoyed the game overall. -The difficulty is on par with most classic-vanias. -I enjoyed the "key" system being added from Rondo of Blood. You really have to consider whether or not to give up your sub-weapon for a key in order to access a new stage. -The music is really good. -I could take or leave the fireball whip upgrade system. I like the buff, but would have preferred for the whip to just become a flame whip. I would recommend it to anyone interested in classic style Castlevania games. On a related note, all three of the Re-birth games from Konami on the Wii VC are great. If you like Contra and Gradius, try out the Rebirth versions titled Contra Rebirth and Gradius Rebirth, respectively. They are really well done. On topic though, my favorite classic style Castlevania is probably Super Castlevania IV. At one point, I was good enough to beat it without dying. The best parts of it were the atmosphere (backgrounds and such), music, and PLAYER CONTROL. I felt like I had complete control over my character in SCV4. The only thing missing was the ability to jump off of stairs. I've probably played SCV4 more than any other classic-vania game. It would be great if the classic mode in Bloodstained allowed for great sense of control of the character while giving that side-scrolling boss-at-the-end-of-the-stage feel.

lololol I think you misunderstood him. That's what he's upset about haha. Ghaleon, I think they call those things ramen because there's no other shortened term for them. It's just convenient and an approximation of what they are. You're not going to say "hey man, want some instant noodles?" in a casual conversation. Actually, you're not going to say that mostly because that should never be a question you ask someone. If you're eating them, you probably had to. "Hey man, how about some saltine crackers?" Ah. Sigh. I think it says Ramen noodle soup on the package. Maybe they should repackage to just say instant noodles.

1: im a foodie so pretty much everything. Though anything with lots of cheese and/or spicyness is often rated high by me. Bitter and sour are not so much tastes I like 2: i wanna try caviar but I cant afford. And I mean beluga/sturgion caviar, not lumpfish/salmon/ or that kelp imitation stuff. I do enjoy salmon roe though. Tobiko are the tiny ones. But what are the ones about as big as snow peas called again? Yum. 3: Meh, I expect a bit of everything but dont really care. Boring fact: its a personal pet peeve of mine how everyone calls noodles ramen now. Wtf cant they just call it noodles. Why the name change. Im not even talking about the big bowls with stuff in soup. But people call the instant plastic packaged kind ramen too. I still call them noodles. To me, the only thing that is ramen is the stuff in the little package that you add water to and zap in the microwave.
