I actually used both Summon Spirit and Tetra Spirit pretty often early on. It does good damage on the early enemies. As for the Jewel Knuckles, it is as Quintalian pointed out. If you get the Jewel Knuckles early, they will be stronger than any weapons you come across from quite some time. I often use weaker weapons (swords mostly) because I prefer them to fist type weapons. I mostly prefer axes, flails, maces, scythes, and halberds. The standard sword types (straight swords, curved swords, katanas, greatswords) are all good. I'm not big on rapiers and other thrust-type weapons. Some spears are pretty fun though. Also not a big fan of daggers and really short swords. This is what I want in Bloodstained, but with a cool crystal-curse style:

Yeah, I sometimes have self-imposed restrictions when I do SotN runs. Examples are:
No Crissaegrim No Shield Rod No Jewel Knuckles early No Duplicator

Redogan ...that sounds like a LOT of land lol. Wow. It'd be great to able to do that. My dad has a field he rotates soy beans/corn/sod on, but yeah...growing fruit like that would be awesome. We used to have some decent plum trees, but they're not in great shape anymore. And I live in an apartment, so...lol. Korean BBQ is great. Also Korean fried chicken. We have 35 acres, but only about 6 acres of it is cleared. The rest is mountain/woods.

No, we NEED some oversized and unrealistic weapons, and glorious mystical katanas that has been folded over one zillion times. IGAvania games has never been about realistic scenarios or weapons (hell, do you remember Claimh Solais from Sorrow games? Or Crissaegrim? Or that weapons from SotN which could summon undead minions?), and I don't think they should drop this philosophy for the sake of realism. Yeah, realistic weapons can be cool and all, but they shouldn't be the main weapons. After all, we're killing demons, vampires and all kind of gothic monster here. Ah, Sword of Dawn. I remember spamming that move as fast as I could to see how many undead knights, archers, and mages I could get on-screen at once. Good times.

As a land owner, I decided to use my land to create a mini fruit farm. Granted, it's not matured as I have only been living here for 6.5 years. But here is what I have: blueberries, strawberries, wild blackberries (in abundance), raspberries (black and red), grapes, cherry trees, apple trees, peach trees, pear trees, plum trees, walnut trees, and pecan trees. The trees mostly don't produce anything yet; however the berries are a different story. I have been getting 5-6 gallons of blueberries from my 64 blueberry bushes each harvest. My strawberry pyramid has about 50 plants and we get about 2-3 gallons of strawberries. Every summer the wild blackberries yield easily over 100 gallons; however, I've never picked them all. The most I have picked in a single summer is around 11 gallons. Also, my grape vines yield about 10 gallons of grapes each year. We have wild and tame raspberries. The wild ones are more abundant.
But, to be more on topic, 1) I like to grill foods outside when the weather permits (steaks, hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken). Also, my favorite foods are anything that could be considered a sandwich. We have a panini maker that we use quite often. I don't eat enough vegetables because I only like five different ones (corn, greenbeans, peas, carrots, lettuce). I will occasionally eat green/red peppers, jalapenos, and banana peppers. And I eat cucumbers, but only in pickle form. I will eat almost any fruit, however.
2) I am not well-traveled, so there are tons of foods I would like to try. I enjoy a lot of Italian, Mexican, and Chinese foods; however, I mostly have the American-ized versions of most dishes. I would like to try authentic stuff to get the "real deal."
3) In Bloodstained, I really like seeing the various wall meats. It would be cool to see some kind of wall meat in Bloodstained. (Or even have Miriam break open a wall and find nothing there and have some kind of dialog that says, "I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I am now hungry for some reason.")

I really prefer axes and flails to swords. Does anyone have any awesome fan art of a crystal curse two-sided battle axe? That would be pretty sweet.

I've been looking at the shaders some more (setting various ones as my desktop background, etc) and I notice that if the view is zoomed out, I like characters 1 and 3 about the same. It's when you zoom in on Miriam that I prefer character 1. I believe this is backwards from what most folks are saying. So, overall I still have to go with B3C1, but C3 is going to work just fine if that is what IGA goes with.

I've actually gone to all-digital on PS4. I am half physical, half digital on Wii U. (I started out getting physical and then went to purchasing digital once I ran out of room and got an external drive.) The downloading of the DLC isn't the issue for me. My issue is that I feel like the product is incomplete if they are planning to add more content later. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth to purchase something that is incomplete. If they add the DLC at a much later date, then I feel like I HAVE to buy it in order to have the complete product--which makes me feel like I'm being ripped off. Sorry, if that bothers people who love DLC. That's just the way I feel about it. The only answer to how you feel is for DLC to not exist at all. You see it as incomplete. Others can argue that it's expanding an already full game. Whether that's true or not can be argued from game to game. But for every bad use of it there's been plenty of good. If you really feel this way then a good chunk of the time you can wait a year or so to get the complete edition of a game. But I'd rather argue for DLC done well than decry the practice. There's reasons why this model exist now that a lot of gamers just don't understand. I guess I'm one of those gamers who just doesn't understand. I'm not in game development, so maybe there are things going on behind the scenes where DLC is the best choice (or only choice in some situations). I'm just voicing my opinions on it. When it comes down to it, I'll always go with what IGA decides for the project and be completely happy with it.

What is it with this crocodile and his creation of numbered, lettered and bulleted lists? Hm, a most curious, but orderly swamp creature... I don't mind DLC and I'm over 30. What gets me actually is how every damn game/system seems to have an update waiting when I want to play it, and there are 5-6 logo screens to sit through otherwise. If online functionality is tied in/required, I'm going to have to sit through a log-in screen too, and maybe a bunch of daily log-in notifications. I JUST WANT TO PLAY THE GAME. Iga gave me hope in one of his Ask IGA segments. Someone here asked him what he wanted the player to feel when they were on the title screen, and his answer paraphrased was something like "I want them to want to get past it and play the damn game". MVP. Yes, I want skippable logos on the way to the title screen and quick entry into the game once I get there. A really nice title screen is awesome, but I want to press a button, select my file, and get to playing.

Why? Some content is cheaper/easier to create than others and can be done in a reasonably quick timeframe. Why not prolong the life of a product and give gamers more of what they want? Like if you can make something like costumes or extra weapons or whatever in a "short" period of time, why put it off until 2-4 years for the sequel? Granted all this content should be started AFTER the main game is finished and shipped out. I hate significant Day 1 Paid DLC (cosmetic stuff I usually don't care about but more substantial stuff really bothers me) - the sort stuff that was clearly finished in time to ship with the main product but is sectioned off to sell separately. However, if its quality content that clearly made after the fact and not ready for ship time, why would I turn that down? A lot of gamers still prefer to physically own the games they love, and at the same time they don't want to miss out on content. DLC creates a problem for these types of people unless it is eventually released in a physical game of the year edition of sorts. If they add the DLC at a much later date, then I feel like I HAVE to buy it in order to have the complete product--which makes me feel like I'm being ripped off. Sorry, if that bothers people who love DLC. That's just the way I feel about it. (Edit: Again, Bloodstained is a completely different situation. I've already paid for what I am going to get. I would like to get it all in one go, but the ripped off feeling is either gone or lessened due to the fact that I'll get the DLC at no extra cost (if the DLC are stretch goals promised in the Kickstarter campaign). It's completely different if they add something at a later date as DLC and anyone who already has the game can grab it at no extra cost.)

this could apply to any game: not being able to skip cut scenes. This. I like watching the cut scenes the first time through, but after that (especially if they make you watch it again if you die), I just want to skip it. Skipping should always be an option.

Not sure if this is considered as an art >.< but here's my work on SOTN UI/Menus ( not sure if it's fine to talk about the project here ) This is pretty sweet! I wouldn't mind the UI looking like that. Functional and easy to read with an HD feel to it. I like.

It makes things unnecessarily complicated. I would rather the release date get pushed back and have everything in one go. If it's just costumes, weapons, skins, etc, then it shouldn't take too long to finish that up and include it in the main game--unless the devs are trying to gouge the fans for more money. If it is a significant amount of content (that would take an extra 6 months to finish), then they should hold off and include that in a sequel. It's just bad planning if the release rolls around and you still have 6 months+ worth of content that is unfinished. I guess what I'm saying is push the release date back until you can get everything put in the game OR cut it off at some point, release the game, and push the remaining content into a sequel. I've never liked the whole concept of DLC add-on content (although I have purchased quite a few). It just feels too much like episodic content--which is just silly to me. I don't want to play a chapter of the game every two months. I want to binge play the ENTIRE game. As a counter-point, I will say that some games have managed to "stay alive" for quite a bit of time due to the constant incoming trickle of DLC content. Mario Kart 8, Hyrule Warriors, and Super Smash Bros. Wii U are the best examples I can think of. I can see doing that if your game is a little lackluster and you are trying to keep fans interested for long periods of time. I don't think that is the case for Bloodstained. I'm not really sure I follow this line of thought. As you say, games eventually have to be shipped. But its not like there can't ever be more content created. They can't push things off indefinitely and a game that's on sale can actually make money for a developer/publisher (and may help fund DLC). For example the Shovel Knight devs had to launch their product with the base game but its sales have helped fund the DLC expansions. It's not a matter of poor planning and just a function that you can't leave a game "in the cooker" so to speak forever - there would never be an end to whatever "everything that should be included". The definition of an "ENTIRE GAME" became variable the minute patching became a frequent and expected industry practice. Nobody is forcing you to come back to a game if you don't want to. However some people who enjoy a game may like to get more out of it and are willing to pay to do so. If the developers are in a position to deliver and can make quality content for a fair price, everybody ends up winning. Plus the presence of DLC has no predictive value on how feature rich or light a base product maybe. You mention games like Smash, Hyrule Warrior and Mario Kart but those games were packed with content already. The DLC just made them even better. Why wait 2-4 years for than additional content when I can have it within one year? One of the things that may be skewing my view of DLC is that I am from an older generation of gamers where DLC didn't exist because game systems had not online capabilities. (Yes, I'm old. Probably older than most on this forum.) I've just always felt that with DLC, the devs are saying here is some stuff we intentionally held back so we could release it to you later and charge you more. And I've always thought, why didn't you just finish the game before you released it? They either had too much content (which would warrant a second game), they were too lazy to finish what they started in time, or they are just trying to get more money out of the game. With Bloodstained and the stretch goal promises, IGA and IntiCreates don't really have a choice of making a second game to include the content. They have to include everything as part of the first game, be it main game or DLC. I'm not sure which way they are going to go, but it is a different situation for them. For the most part, a developer having DLC for a game is an automatic red mark on their record for me; however, there are exceptions--as is the case for Bloodstained. This kickstarted project with stretch goals and everything really is a whole other ball of yarn. I really want all of the content to be in the main game with no DLC, but it may not work out that way. And thinking about it a little more, I guess games have evolved to the point where one game with DLC added as time goes on is more popular/more feasible than releasing two games. Unless it a Call of Duty/EA Sports kind of deal where they release a new game in the series about once a year.
