OK I finally finished the game (hahah I was trying to get everything... still am) it took 2hrs at least. @autumn I did not know it was david hayter lol but yeah I hope they fix that in the final version

ok here is what I think of the game (I will highlight things I feel are important and hope will change in the real game)
Voice Acting -
- I love Miriam's voice she is spunky and strong-willed (maybe a little reckless)
- I wish the voice telling the story, in the beginning, would speak up in certain parts... but only in certain parts (some words are as soft as whispers)
- (Update) I hate Ann's voice (the little girl)... am I the only one? (sorry Rena Strober... nothing against you... its just so far she is too one dimensional)
- (Update) Lindsay's voice is too pissed... almost like she is possessed
- (Update) Please let there be an auto scroll or auto play... or something for the cutscenes I want to hear them talk without having to hit the A button.. it kinda takes me out of the emersion
Combat -
- most of the weapons feel really great to use (I don't like the claymore but that's because I hate slow weapons hahaha)
- button inputs are back!!!! and I love them!!!!
- I put the directional activation button on the R3 button did anyone else do that?
(Update) Button inputs are slightly deeper then SotN... you can do 3 attacks in a row... you can use this to reach seemingly unreachable areas - it seems there is only one type of button inputs for weapons any boot/shoe type weapon will do the same thing as the others... same with samurai swords... I hope this is not the case... if every weapon has a generic button input for all the weapon types...
Shards -
- so far no matter how many you collect you can't level up the shard
- (Update) leveling up shards are done in the alchemy lab with Johannes
- (Update) there is a way to level down the shard but only if you level the shard all the way up first... I don't like that it's too easy to upgrade past maximum and they don't warn you that you will reset the shard to 1 again. at least there should be a fail-safe when you reach the maximum level so there are no accidents and you end up wasting all those matrials.
(Update) Graphics/sound -
- I love the graphics so far not much to complain about
- I personally don't like how there are rainy flooding area then the next area below it is nice and dry... there should be some kind of leaking from the "flood" (I know this is a nitpick)
- I don't know if its a choice or if it's just because its the Beta but the town area has absolutely no BGM... I am assuming its because it's the beta.
- I noticed there are "load areas" or "transition areas" like those in every Castlevania. I know why they used them in the past but is there really a reason for them now?
(Update) Misc -
- Please let there be something that tells us we are completing our missions... a counter or a short message telling us how many more enemies to kill for that quest
I have played it all the way through and it was awesome

The best way to do it would be to have an "Exterior" slot in addition to the standard slot. That way you can use the stats from any item you want with the appearance of any item you want. I love that idea but if they have not implemented it by now (I hope they have) then it would take time to program and add a user interface... so I suggested the simplest thing possible lol...

I love that we can see hairbands, helmets, scarfs accessories on Miriam but sometimes there are powerful helmets that look ugly... like the Dulhan helmet... I just hope there will be a way to make them not seen... like a "default" mode where no matter what you equip she will always look like she has on her default accessory. it is like turning helmets off in certain games... right?

I don't know how it happened but when I saved at the save point my mana did not automatically refill... it was stuck at 80. I don't know what made it go back to normal... but now it restores when I go to the save point. I tried to recreate it but I can't... sorry... has anyone else experienced this?

Had no problem with the delay... as you guys saw on the backer survey, we don't mind delays. But please Question and Angel-Corlux give us ample time to register it. I love how this project has been handled... there were no surprises, if something was happening we would be told well in advance But the way the beta was handled was atrocious. I don't know who decided to hold off on telling us about the delay... I personally think that was a bad move... if there is a heavy chance for such a delay tell us in advance, we will be fine with it (or most of us will be fine with it) but dropping a delay the day something supposed to come out... that disappointed me (and probably others). anyway... I know this is kind of a dead (or dying) thread and I bet Question and Angel-Corlux most likely read that other thread " Update on Beta Backer Demo" I just wanted to state my disappointment since I did not see them in that thread. Anyway I do want to thank you guys for your awesome work on the game so far (this is not sarcastic I do truly mean that) and besides this one bump, I feel you guys are doing an excellent job! still hyped for the game and can't wait until tomorrow for the beta.

Ok... I used to be able to connect my laptop to my TV anytime I wanted... but after the latest update, they removed that option. Now when I right click on the desktop and go to "display settings" it brings up a strange thing, and the only option under "multiple displays" is "connect to wireless display"... what I want to know it how to connect my Laptop to my TV via HDMI... I want to play Bloodstained on my TV via my laptop through HDMI but it won't give me the options. Does anyone have a solution?
Edit: Nevermind I just found out how to do it lol

I think it would be cool to have an anti-burn-in option that makes the health and magic bar move slowly around a few pixels at a time to help prevent image retention on TVs that are prone to retaining images that are always on screen. That or a screensaver that kicks in after about 10 minutes of inactivity, like how Skyrim does by default. I have an OLED TV, so I'm a little concerned about this. yes pleaseI also have an oled tv and would love an option to have a burn in prevention thing... maybe have a dynamic HUD or something, maybe certian things like health only pops up when you are low or halved... same with mana or magic... and they dissapper when they are full... or something close to that.. oh! and maybe a way to toggle the map on and off

1) Regarding Valkyrie (Armored) option. The "armored" there means that it isn't a "sexy" Valkyrie, but a full armored one. Would you like to see a version of such outfit, that is more sexy and provocative than warrior-like?
personally I don't care if it is more sexy... but I like more realistic armor then sexy armor... it is rare to find realistic armor in video games I know there will be enough fan-service to go around...
2) Regarding Angel and Demon options. If miriam had such outfits, would you like if they somehow altered some powers, visually speaking? Like, if Miriam had the ability to fly by creating wings (such as Volaticus Glyph on Order of Ecclesia) she could have default black wings, but angel wings wearing Angel outfit and demonic wings wearing Demon outfit. Keep in mind that, game development requires resources (both money and time) and do something like that would require more programming and resources.
yes I would like to see them have different effects with different outfits... but only if they have spare time and money to put into it.
3) Regarding Succubus (provocative) option. How much "provocative" would you like such outfit to be? Like Symphony of the Night's Succubus or going steps further, maybe such as Werebat form from Order of Ecclesia (that is basically naked, maybe Miriam would have strategically placed long hair, wings or legs and cam position to hide spots).
With the Succubus... I think it should be very provocative, but only because it's a succubus... and yes close to SotN would be nice.
4) Regarding Vampire (Elegant) option. How would you like to see that? As a "modest" form of Succubus? Maybe a long elegant dress like Carmilla from older games? Or maybe a female version of Alucard's attire?
sorry not Alucard... love his character but for a female vampire there is a romantic essence in classic female monsters, and think something closer to a traditional vampire look would be best... elegant, with a flowing gown... maybe it becomes smoke or mist as she walks...
5) Regarding Nun and Maid options. Such options are blatantly based on kinks and fetishes. Would you like, if such outfits existed, to follow the traditional kink role (short skirts, garterbelt, pantyhose, cleavage) or to go a step into the modesty zone and actually use real-life versions of such clothes?
the kink... why... well because it is what we associate maid outfits to be and that is what they think of when you think Japanese maid.
6) Regarding Corrupted (fully overtaken by the curse) option. Do you believe such option means that we will not have a corrupted version of Miriam to play with? That will not happen at the game's plot? Or the option being there is a way for the dev team to actually DODGE such speculations?
maybe it will be unlocked when that part of the game done... AND we beat the game that way or something... they just wanted to see if it was popular I think...
7) Regarding Bikini / Beachwear option. As stated above, such option is clearly a kink / fetish option and this one would be even harder to conceal as something else. If such outfit existed in game, would you prefer it to be something clearly risky (such as Dead or Alive 5 bikinis), something not so risky but quite taboo (such as japanese schoolgirl swimsuit) or something classic and elegant (such as old swimsuits, that looked like full body suits)?
why not all of thee above? why can't we have it all? if they have the time and money of course. I personally think Mirim would look awesome in a one piece.
8) Regarding Outfits to match existing accessory sets option. The game has shown quite a lot of outfits already, such as Bunny ears/stockings, Maid Headress, Elven Ears, Spiked Hair, Sunglasses, Panama / cowboy Hat and Santa Hat. Considering such accessories, would you like to see some of them having outfits to match them? Choose some.
I think for the most part there should be an outfit that matches an accessory set... there should also be an outfit that supersedes all other outfits and/or accessories... so people that does not like their outfit to change... they have that option... they can look like default Miriam from beginning to end. (or there should be an option that does not let that accessories change Miriam in any way)
9) Regarding "Other" option. Did you picked up such options? What have you offered as suggestion for outfits?
Oh yeah i did... I suggested a "Vampire hunter" lol does not have to look like a belmont but... it would be cool to see her run around with stakes, holy water and the likes.
10) Regarding Cosmetics / skins options. Almost every game nowadays, offers such option as DLC, because many players consider them to be something not mandatory for a game. Even so, there had some criticism in the past about the overload of cosmetics DLC (Dead or Alive 5 Last Round, being a good example, all DLCs of the game, if bought separately, costs more than the game itself). What are your thoughts regarding that?
I say if they sell why not? don't make them super expenive AND don't let them be in lootboxes...
11) Regarding More playable characters option. Most speculation about Bloodstained's three playable characters revolve around Miriam (mandatory), Zangetsu and Dominique. Let's assume for a second they will really be the game's default playable characters. If the game ends up having a playable character as DLC, who would you choose to be? (excluding Miriam, Zangetsu and Dominique).
too hard to choose Zangetsu is badass... but I like playing girls in video games lol... so... I don't know or both
12) Regarding Full story content expansions option. This is, by far, one of the most infamous and unpopular options in gaming DLCs. Many players consider that expanding a game's plot through DLC is a cheap way of money farming. But some players see it as a great way to expand a game's content and keep it alive. What are your thoughts about this?
I am fine with it IF the story DLC is a fully flesh out story of other characters... like Zangetsu has changeable weapons, upgradeable armor powers you can find... things like that... I am fine with the past games that had characters that were fully powered from the beginning but I would rather play through a full fledged story and fleshed out character mechanics. yes basically a fully fleshed out game with that other character. I would pay for those.
13) Regarding Full multiplayer & co-op for existing game option. What do you think this option really means? Putting multiplayer and co-op options from the stretch goals as DLC, or expanding such content by DLC?
not sure not really into multiplayer modes...
14) Regarding Mod support / Castle editor option. Although many players would surely love that, by offering official mod support and / or castle editor options, there is a chance that this could actually hinder such possibilities, since official tools can be more limited than the freedom of "breaking and entering" inside a game's content. A good example of this is DOOM 2016 "snap map" editor, that, although fun, many players considered really restrictive. What are your thoughts over this?
not much thoughts on it... not much into the mod scene... just have it so I can play as alucard I am good.
15) Regarding Other option. Did you picked up such options? What have you offered as suggestion for DLCs?
I don't know where to put this and it has nothing to do with the question... but whatever... there was an option in the survey that asked if we wanted to have the backer only content available for the public... I said yes and offered a solution for how and when is should be available... I know many people are against others getting "backer only" content but I think it should be available but I want people to know the difference between the original backers and the people that just got the "complete" edition. I think the original backers should either have some kind of special effect on their weapons (same stats and everything) or have a different color to distinguish the originals from the ones that bought it from DLC or something.

Ok everyone knows the demo should hit around June 2018 so when do you guys think the game will actually be released... this pool is just for fun... it would be cool if we could bet wall mac or something hahah...
Personally I think it would be awesome if it was released on Halloween... for a nice treat... but what do I know haha...

Yeah ghaleon I know what you mean... but those people were very vocal... personally I loved that game and the "next" game could have been awesome but they chose to go in a different direction (lords of shadows) And yes busby was a solid SNES platformer (though I still did not like it lol).... but after the original director left the project the game went down hill and before Mario 64 there were really no good 3d platformer. Oh and I would like to thank all the people for taking the time to answer these questions... it's fun to read all your answers

I haven't played xenoblade chronicles 2 so I don't kn ow if I would like or hate rex. But just from the pictures... Visually that kid doesn't match the rest of the cast. And I don't mean cuz he's male. Just... he's such a derpy looking kid, and everyone else are super models. it's weird. I know what you mean... but the point of Rex looking sooo different is... he is not a warrior, he is just a salvager that found himself in this situation. I personally hate it when people are supposed to be a "normal" kid/person/worker/average joe... but he fits in with warriors perfectly. I know it throws off the esthetics, but it keeps it a bit more realistic IMO... But again I know what you mean, he really doesn't fit with the cast of warriors lol... Oh and tav7623 you kinda cheated with all the ties hahah...
