I was gonna give a longish post but there's no need. My official response is 'What cale said". Thanks cale.
As for bloodstained. Yeah alot of stuff looks good on the outside, but Bloodstained doesn't really do interiors quite like I want BS to be like.

Yay...Don't let your guard down though. Pretty sure many ex-quitters have relapsed after a month or two often enough for it to still be a serious hurdle to overcome.

Jim hates konami, but he gives me the impression he's sympathetic to the people who would be more likely to dismiss colin's comments right out of the gate because of racist misogyny or something. He even has a rubin report mug behind him there *GASP*.
That said this isn't even an anti-konami story. More of a Colin Cox is a spiteful shrew one.

thank you very much. I got it, so feel free to remove the link. I'm not sure if the original developer doesn't like people re-sharing it or not. Good to know this was just a policy change. Though it sucks I can't dl stuff from them at all anymore. qq. There are a lot of people I follow on Baidu.

Thanks for your time. I used to think I needed a chinese phone number to navigate baidu pages. But it's weird, you actually don't need to, but you have to open stuff up in a new tab all the time and then it works. If you just click it does the phone number thing. new tab opening doesn't actually work with the download even when the downloads ARE working though.

I'd help but I don't understand the language. I tried clicking things and it only took me to different places. The button with the rocket tried downloading an apk file and multiple other files which I am not going to download. Can you tell me which one is to download the actual folder? Oh geeze. I'm sorry, I guess I should have explained it. I don't understand the language either but I just kinda figured out how to navigate those kinds of pages already. You check the box for the file you want (the one that was 1/16), and then on the top is a button with an arrow pointing down towards a ledge or something, that's the download button. Sometimes it goes after that, sometimes you get another window with 2 buttons that are confirm and cancel. Confirm is normally on the left. Sometimes you get a captcha. I think you can also download it by hovering over the file instead of checking the box, and clicking the same arrow pointing down towards a ledge button. But neither are working for me this time for whatever reason.

I like collecting MikuMikuDance Models, and there's one person who makes some pretty good ones that I have all of them from. But for whatever reason I just can't get the download to start...downloading for their latest one. No clue why. Might be a region thing?
You can find the dl here pan.baidu.com/s/1nvPcwh7
It's the one that came out 1/16 that I'm having trouble getting If anyone can dl it successfully please let me know and hook me up. I imagine th e developer doesn't want people re-sharing. it's kind of a standard, so if you get it and try to help make sure it's a private link that you can take down soon.
If you're wondering why it looks like it's just a png. it's actually a rar file that acts as a png at the same time (it's not naughty or anything), but you just change the filetype to rar to open it. or was it 7zip. I forget, something like that.
Thanks in advance for anyone trying to help!

Watch them announce they're going to make non-pachinko games for forgotten fans of Castlevania and Contra, to thunderous cheers... then announce a year later that they're working on some really crappy Contra Vs Castlevania MOBA game like Heroes of the Storm, on mobile devices.

Gah, I forget how to multiquote.:
@freddy: You didn't say anything I object to. You were pretty clear that the feature wasn't for you and you wouldn't use it. I'm totally cool with that. As for the roguelike thing, I can see where you're going. I mean I know if they had a fighting game feature included I'd be like 'blech, what a waste of resources', so I imagine you feel the same way kinda. But nobody really demanded they impliment a roguelike mode like they did a wiiU port or whatever. This was naturally selected by the devs/Iga, so perhaps they have good ideas for that you may like? Maybe not, but hopefully t hey do.
@purify: I think you're assuming incorrectly about the part where most players wont be playing the game as intended and might possibly imbalance it for the worse. I'm a mod NUT. I've modded games long before super popular modding games like fallout and skyrim were out. I've modded the dung out of diablo 1, and even before that, a shareware game (they didn't call it indie back then) called escape velocity, when it was a mac-only title!...But each and every one of those g ames, I actually played 'vanilla' first. Though I can't speak for every modder/adjust-happy player, I've participated in their modding communities, and aside from the new games like skyrim, people play them vanilla first nearly every time. In fact the only reason why they don't for skyrim and such is simply because they simply want 'objective' improvements such as better graphics or a more user friendly UI or something. Plus many games already do things like force the player to finish the game as-is before 'unlocking' these features as a sort of ng+ feature.

That's also assuming there are no delays at all.. I mean I know people hate hearing delay, especially with how games like mighty no 9 turned out. But the simple fact is LOTS of games get delays. Realistically, I wouldn't be too surprised if this game gets one as well, not because I don't trust the devs or their talent, but.. it's just something I expect in general.

I ask for this in every game pretty much, and would be surprised if I haven't done so already for this game a year or two ago. That said, I similarly have people say eww no, it'll ruin the balance, it's not good for 'this type' of game, etc. Honestly I find it frusterating because that's just not true. I mean you can not use it if you like, but you're really making baseless assumptions to say these things like it's fact. How do you KNOW that bloodstained will have the default settings tweaked the way you prefer it? You don't, you're assuming it to be the case. It's very possible that you like the game a lot, but just wish that you didn't have to spend 3 hours of farming healing drops every time you want to prepare for a boss fight in roguelike mode or something. Or maybe you think baddies need to have more health because you can 1shot 3/4 of the enemies in the entire game once you know what the ideal weapon to get early on is or something.
Also, it's not difficult to implement provided it was planned early on (and even then I can't imagine it would take a coder more than a day to do many of the features if they made it as an afterthought). Adjusting enemy placement and item layout, that in fact WOULD take tons of time, because there's no way to mathematically do that in a way that you know can lead to unwinnable situations like double jump being locked behind an area you need double jump to get at or something like that. But yeah, those would be cool features to have too if the devs are willing to add them (I still have to play random link to the past!)
People are basically saying no to a feature that realistically double (probably more) the playtime value of a game for many players, that would probably take less time to to add TO the game than adding a single boss. Incidentally, lots of games allow players to do this to some extent anyway by virtue of mods, and there are LOTS of games with mods that do these things. However players do not have the option of setting it the way they like, but rather the modder does, and the player has to figure out what mod best suits their taste, but can never really get it nailed just the way they like. By letting the game do this as a default feature, these mod-hungry players can satisfy their needs far more easily and accurately.
Even if you disagree, it's an option and wont hurt anyone, and at the very least I think games should do it just to set a precedent/test the theory if it is a well received feature or not.

I like the environment too, but at the same time I can see where castle is going regarding a missing element when it comes to how colourful some of the older concept/proof of concept build stuff was. That said this is an underground area and well, I wouldn't expect it to have that level of colour, and the glowing liquid thing really does alot in that direction imo.
I might be missing something though, but why are the trees upside down.

I don't think anyone will know for certain. Customs fees seem pretty random in general. That said my own experience is that I can get stuff from the states using Fedex without being charged. But if they use UPS I'll get dinged.

So one of the things I am most hyped about and something I think could add a lot to the replay value of the game is the roguelike dungeon feature that was achieved on kickstarter. I have a couple of discussion topics on this 1) How much effort do you think will be put into this gamemode vs how much effort you wish they would put into it. 2) Are you even interested in this gamemode and if not then why. 3) How many floors do you think it should have? 4) Do you think there will be specific bosses designed for this , or maybe just some standard enemies from the main game reskined and with a few new moves, or do you think they will use the main game bosses. 5) Should it always be a level 1 start from ground up run or should there be permanent items and such you can get and use each run in the dungeon 6) What are some features from roguelikes that you enjoy that would be a nice addition to the BROTN dungeon. Are you even interested in this gamemode and if not then why. 1: When it was announced, I was expecting a satisfying amount of effort to be put into it. Which would be about adding at least 25% more castle without new assets in that portion of the castle, which is obviously much less than 25% of the whole game. 2: I was extremely interested. Drooling on the floor interested. Now I'm skeptical because I've noticed since BS's kickstarter, there are more and more games tagging themselves as 'roguelikes' which are frankly sad excuses of the tag. I mean I don't think IGA or his team has the intention of making a half-assed game mode. But I worry that their impression of what makes the roguelike people want will be skewed based on all the bad examples out there, and they will make an honest effort to replicate something mediocre to begin with. 3: Infinite, or 100, or 1000. none of these 5-10 floor roguelites please. 4: reskins and main game bosses. Maybe with modifiers like diablo style elites or something. 5: I prefer the start at level 1 with no advantages thing. If you unlock anything, maybe optional things that aren't actually power upgrades, just new options like playable characters that are not supposed to be better or worse. Or maybe start with an equally balanced weapon or something. 6: You already kinda asked this in #2. But for the part you didn't answer. One of the things I like about roguelikes (moreso than roguelites, and yes this will be a roguelite obviously, though people who don't actually PLAY them wont know this, this is ok, I like both if done well) is randomness... Which means alot more than just 60 pre-set rooms that are scattered around like a jigsaw puzzle. What I miss from the older roguelikes over the newer ones is more emphasis on random excitement wtf moments. Nowdays people cry about balance so much that they homogonize the so-called random elements of roguelikes. So that you can only get x1-x3 for bosses on the first floor, x4-x6 for bosses on the second floor... there's always 1 boss each floor, there's always 1-2 treasure rooms each floor, there are never big nasty level 5 enemies on floor 1, there are never wussy puny enemies on floor 5. You wont set a super omgwtfbbq sword of pwn from killing a green slime. I know it's not fair.. it's not supposed to be fair. It's supposed to be fun, and some people... people who actually LIKE roguelikes like that element. Instead people are making them less and less like rogue and more and more like Zelda or something. Then they end up being like some zelda-ish game without the finely detailed dungeon/puzzle design, and copy pasted preset 60ish room jigsaw puzzle garbage.
