Why does Frankenstein like climbing mountains? Because he has a head for heights.

Mana is in a class of her own when it comes to capturing the essence of Bloodstained. An effortless 'Yes!' from me.

I only do Boss Rush to obtain the special items at the end of it. I very rarely play it thereafter once all the items are gone.

Sadness goes in hand when traversing a huge castle laced with evil All adds to the flavour. Even if the pet eventually dies, the spirit doesn't... To quote Obi Wan Kenobi " If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine"

Would have to be Super Castlevania 4 for me. The creepy art always reminds me of Scream Comic I used to buy when I was in my teens.

I'm thinking of a pet that, potentially, possesses a wealth of abilities, moves and powers that's on a par with Miriam's. To put it another way, it'd be similar to how Charlotte and Jonathan team up in Portrait of Ruin ... that they can switch or combine. Heck, if Miriam can have her own room and add items and furniture to it, then I'm sure that adding powers and moves can be done with a pet

This subject may have been touched upon in a couple of threads but never properly discussed. While I was never a fan of Virtual Pets (those awful, fiddly key chain games) , the idea of Miriam having a pet appeals to me. Now, I know what you're probably thinking ... that's what familiars are for! However, the kind of pet I have in mind though is one that eventually becomes a companion of considerable power and strength. The friend who'll appear in Miriam's darkest hours. The loyal pet that succeeds where familiars fail. Why would this be? That is because the pet that Miriam obtains is as only as good as how the owner nurtures it. Yes, you could feed the pet with beef, health potions, etc but also infuse shard power into it as well. Depending on the shards zapped into it, the pet would grow with the abilities of certain enemies and/or a particular dislike for them. The pet gradually becomes a character itself and even (or ultimately) a playable one at that. An extension/part of Miriam's soul. What do you think of such an idea? Good or bad? If good, what animal/creature would you choose? I'd like to add that while it's too late to be put into Bloodstained, it could be an addition to Bloodstained 2

There seemed to be a lot of vitriolic criticism regarding Castlevania 64 which I thought was a touch harsh. Yes, it had its flaws but, generally, those defects didn't really spoil, what was, a whip-cracking, spooky adventure.
The game infused a feeling of loneliness that made it all the more eerie. Occasionally, the hairs stood on the back of my neck whenever I was very low on life and stalked by the nasty vampires that'd wait for you in certain areas. Those vampires would chase you relentlessly and make horrible noises as they lunged. The chainsaw-wielding Frankenstein in the garden maze was menacing. Stained-glass knights, skeletons on motorbikes, an epic fight with a behemoth, spider-women and blood monsters were just a few enemies that kept you on your toes.
Personally, I found Castlevania 64 a tad more creepy than Symphony of the Night. I loved it!

Also I happen to really like Boss Opening from Rondo of Blood? It's a goofy song, but it's unsettling and puts you on edge as you anticipate what kind of weird and creative enemy awaits you in the next room. Comes across as the type of tune you'd play to someone who is drunk and is trying to walk in a straight line.

Writing stories is an activity I've been increasingly interested in since the turn of the millennium. Nearly all of them have been short ones (consisting of a few thousand words). Longer stories (novels) are much more intricate and require a deeper level of thought and inventiveness to squeeze out more. Strong character development, greater plot and an interesting script are just three important keys to creating a fine story to prevent it from going stale. Imagination is the backbone of it all.
At the moment, I'm trying to juggle two fantasy novels whilst creating a bestiary of unique monsters for my ever-growing art portfolio. I have to admit, it is rather brain-draining when the rigors of daily life get in the way. Sometimes, I feel that one lifetime isn't enough for all the things I want to achieve (one of the reasons why I believe in reincarnation).

At first glance, I couldn't tell if Ryotaro Okiayu was a man or a woman ... which kinda threw me who the 'Mysterious Man' might be So here are my 3 answers... 1: Possibly the fusion of NPC and a boss. I imagine him as being some kind of debonair, maverick bounty hunter with a sly edge. 2: I'm getting the impression, judged by that silhouette, that he could be a cross between Doctor Strange and Liberace. 3: Maybe to kill Gebel first but may kill anyone who prevents him from achieving his goal ... even if it means Miriam too (hence why I think he could be a boss).

Thing is with guns, they have immense potential ... so much, that they could easily become the dominant weapon. So I presume Bloodstained might be limited to a moderate selection of guns that fire a reasonable diversity of ammo/projectiles. I say this because there are many people who adore their swords and whips. Of course, some of us would say "the more, the merrier"

Enemies & Bosses is my primary choice. I'm gonna be hugely interested what monsters I'll be encountering on the adventure. Nothing incites more than the anticipation of getting ever closer to a boss door and discovering what horror lies beyond it.

Why can't they make the map as a jigsaw puzzle? That way, if you really want to find the secret rooms, you'll have to fix the puzzle first
