This was never a 60$ game and it doesn't even have a season pass. Yet the devs and publisher treat it as a games-as-a-service thing and want to provide even more content no one expected. Igarashi and the team are madmen! Also, i think the mobile ports are a fantastic idea! The game is great and considering the pathetic attempts of konami with their castlevanias, it will be yet another gesture of victory against them. Teams like yours prove why the indie devs are the real deal!

look at the "1P" at the top of the screen below the character portraits. Is this a hint at multiplayer? Also i would like to know if Limited Run Games will release a Limited Edition again, so i don't buy it twice. It sure looks like it, I was looking at the screenshots on the official website after you mentioned it and noticed that right under the 1P you mentioned that it says 2P Push Start SWEET!

i really appreciate the work they put into the switch optimization. It's not that common for a developer/publisher to give a damn about ports post-launch that much nowadays.

Looks like the Bloodstained team(s) break the kickstarter curse and actually deliver a polished, quality game. I also love the cocky intro of the video !

WOW, i love how the game turned out, I can't wait to play it! It looks amazing and I love the gameplay. The team(s) did a wonderful job in every way as far as i can tell. I hope ROTN sells well, it could be the beginning (aside from COTM) of a huge (gaming) franchise. And since the AAA market is apparently trying to implode with their predatory monetizations and casino-like games, I see Indie games and AA titles as the real future of innovative video games and Artplay is on my list of devs I definitely follow and support. Cheers to the hard-working people who work on the game and of course to this friendly and overanalyzing community (without you I would have never read about the COTM special physical release on time)!

Vita cancellation was expected and more sony's fault. I was worried about Armature Studio and their wasted time and work for the UE4 port but they seem to be fine, they helped with fortnite, lol. My only criticism is the release window. 2019... come on. at least tell us which half. If IGA doesn't know, than bloodstained is far from finished I assume. More details would be nice. Screenshots, anything!

I really like Mana's work, she is very talented and it fits perfectly with the target style in my opinion and I voted yes. But I don't think this poll affects much (it's october 2017 - c'mon guys). Since Mana works for Artplay and is not just there as a kickstarter goal for this very project, it would be a great idea to let her be more involved art-wise in Bloodstained projects (since it should become a franchise). But that is not in the least our decision. For example I know nothing about wage differences in that case (will it be a substantial raise or more work for same money). But hey, now they know that the community would stand behind Mana, getting more work. Let's just not blow this up too much...

I upgraded my slacker-backing a few times
1x Steam "physical retail"- Because of modding (fingers crossed) and the ability to play the game 20 years from now (nearly) hasslefree 1x GoG digital - In case Steam implodes or something 1x Xbox One digital - There is a shortage of (good) couch-coop games 1x Nintendo Switch physical retail (I don't have the console yet, waiting for major price-cut/bundle christmas 2018 or something) - Portability
I'm not THAT hyped for the game, but all the major game publishers made me lose faith and actual interest in videogames in the last 2 years, so I have more budget for Indie Games. I also slacker-backed Blasphemous (because effing kickstarter credit card requirement) and I have Dead Cells (which is amazing).

1) Playable character. (Alucard's voice, great middle finger to Konami)
2) Maybe some sort of Belmont appearence.
3) Wants to destroy the army of hell which killed his family (classic).

I looked at all the footage again from yesterday and then looked at some SOTN footage and came to the conclusion, that besides some more or less minor complaints, bloodstained becomes exactly what IGA pitched: A castlevania/sotn "reboot" with more content, modes and modern technology for modern systems. And I am VERY pleased.
I also want to add that I don't have any nostalgic feelings about this game. I bought dracula x chronicles on my vita AFTER the bloodstained crowdfunding campaign was over, because I never played any castlevania game before and wanted to understand the hype about bloodstained. I enjoyed rondo of blood and SOTN and became a slacker-backer.
So, I am not disappointed, but I understand all your concerns. I don't think it will end up as a bad game. Since the hype around this game is based on NOSTALGIA, it can NEVER satisfy all the castlevania-fans completely, that's not possible, just look at the reactions on yooka-laylee, it's just like banjo kazooie with all the flaws, but a lot bigger. the backers of that game played the old games as KIDS, you can't copy the feeling of playing such games as kids, when you are an adult. I say that, because thats how I feel about it. (I leave mighty no 9 out, because inafune clearly hasn't put nearly he same passion in that project as IGA and thought more about expanding the franchise and keeping the costs low, like the pure businessman that he is. I mean IGA in comparison even got more devs on board to meet his quality standards, that burns a lot of money).

I had to look it up, because I didn't believe you. but you 're right....... thx, well then I will just accept that. I guess I just expected that as a Diablo player!
I also love to finally hear some heavier music in the game. I was a bit worried.
Also I didn't expect them to polish the ship level up THIS much. They really are passionate about this project unlike some certain kickstarter failure....

I am REALLY impressed how this game improved since the last demo. They did a bloody fine job so far! But I have one BIG issue: Miriam doesn't carry her weapons visually. They just appear out of nowhere when she attacks. I really hope they change that. And I see that this is a LOT of work.

Thank you for writing the whole interview down, appreciate it! The Nintendo Switch Dev Kit costs about 450 $ (since UE4 is natively supported on the switch, there are no additional costs - I THINK, i haven't found info about that) www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/nintendo-switch-dev-kit/I have upgraded my slacker-backer pledge from 60$ to 250$ and if a Switch Port comes, I'm definitely going for an extra backer-edition physical copy (yes, I'm stupid). I guess I'm not the only one who upgraded the initial pledge, so the software costs alone should be easy in the bag. Since Wii U, Vita AND switch use touchscreens, I THINK - without having any actual game-programming knowledge - that a Port shouldn't be extremely time-consuming. I say it as it is, Bloodstained on the Switch would really force me to buy the System, right now there are no real killer apps on that for me, but I dig the transformer-concept.
