I voted for PC and switch, because I could "only" choose 2 systems. Right now I slacker-backed for PC and xb1. I would play the game mainly on PC and Switch (mobile). Before the switch announcement my original plan was to back a vita copy later in 2017 as well, but if a switch version is going to happen, I will let my vita collect the dust it deserves.
Now I'm riding on the bloodstained AND the switch hype train. Very unhealthy.

Everett Spair I understand your worries. In your case, IF the Wii U Version is going to be cancelled, I would change the backed version to PC. IF bloodstained is going to be that good, as many of us are hoping here, you might want to go back to it every year or so. And if you have the special backer version on PC, you won't have that much of a hassle regarding backwards compatibility. And when you say, your PC isn't beefed enough, "everyone" is upgrading their pc at some point. Of course if you don't use PCs in your private time and are purely playing on console, then that doesn't apply to you. But in that case, I assume you will upgrade your console in the future. So then the NX version is your choice. It's a long way until 2018!

I have nothing to add to your, as always, detailed analysis besides my opinion.
I would really like such a progression system for the shards and familiars. you gain exp when you use them in combat, so when you backtrack in the campaign (and additional modes) you still have a damn good reason to fight through your path and get some sort of accomplishment and additional power for upcoming boss fights besides character lvl and stats. it also motivates you to use every shard and familiar. everybody wins, except the developers who have to implement it.

I would prefer a 16-bit game, but i don't think they will go for that, because of budget and time reasons. I expect the quality of Mighty Gunvolt, but I hope the artstyle will be more reminiscent of the classic NES Castlevania. We are talking about a game with horror theme after all. If they develop a 16-bit game, I would be very pleasantly surprised, because I really like the quality of Azure Striker Gunvolt.

Servas,
Wow, ist mir was entgangen. Symphony of the Night und Rondo of Blood sind weltklasse.
