I vote great, I'm still waiting for the piece that blows my mind but I think it's all been very awesome thus far You'll find it I'm sure. I'm personally hoping I hear more 'Aquarius's' and 'Proof of Blood's'. These were very powerful tracks I feel, and I'm sure the bloodstained OST will be no different. Can't wait to hear the OST for Gebel's fight, if he IS the final boss, of course. :p

I'm gunna hafta say 'no' on this one. While the clarity of movement is nice, it's nothing they couldn't have done with Miriam's petal aura she has coming off the blossom on her back. :3 It's a good thing they let you remove her ribbons, I think. Since it seems to be evenly divided between folks who like and hate them, both sides are happy easily :D Yeah haha. But then again, who knows, maybe I'll find a scarf that I simply fall in love with, and It'll totally change my opinion of it. I think I saw one about a scarf releasing drops of blood as she ran?? Really cool idea, too

AHAHA WOW you go gurl. Yeah I figured that leveling to a high level is quite possible since they would really only need basic stat growth for each level, and a way of divvying up a maximum amount of experience between levels 1-99. (Obviously increasing as level goes up) But yeah, pretty impressive!

So I think that Boss Revenge has to be just about one of the coolest things that IGA and company have fathomed up. I mean, c'mon, you get to run around PLAYING as your favorite boss on a quest to extinguish humanity. I mean, little kid me would have been thrilled to bits at such a prospect, and adult me isn't faring much better. ;) But with this new mode, I think that it raises a lot of questions, some of mine being:
- Would every boss in the game be playable? Or would it just be a select few?
- What would the new "Boss Revenge" area be? Would it be part of the castle interior, or an original area all together?
- What about LARGE bosses? As in ones that take up the entire freakin' screen? Given they were available for selection, how would they be incorporated?
- How would buttons correlate with the actions of the boss? Would different buttons correlate to different attacks? (Button combos, maybe???)
- What would the menu screen look like? Maybe there wouldn't be one, and it would be like playing alt. characters in the previous IGAvania games. (IE Albus, Julius, Stella/Lorreta)
- Would the bosses be capable of RPG elements? Things such as leveling up and changing equipment?

I don't think we have enough information at all to be "predicting" who the second and third playable character will be and I think its a bit dangerous to word the the topic title as such - it can easily lead to the spread of misinformation. We don't even have the full cast of the game (or very likely do not based on some of Iga's previous comments). Also you gotta work on the readability of your posts LeoLeWolferoux . Use more paragraphs or even bullet points. It's very hard to read your opening post as is :( Yeah sure. I'll work on chopping it up a bit more. And just remember, this is just a prediction. I plan to do one for Johannes and Zangetsu, as well. Sorry!

I've heard really good things about Shantae. Never played it myself. I love Castlevania, but I dunno if I'd wanna get Shantae...?
Is it worth my time to play?

I'm loving the tracks we've already heard but I'm REALLY hoping we get some more tracks that go pure 1700's in sound and less drum/bass focus. Stuff like this. I think SOTN above all is so special to me because the music transports me TO that time period, it helped make the experience so believe to me. This pure classical music type feeling just sold me so well. I do love the hidden music track that was on the demo though, it's very close to the above. ( close!) I totally agree, music has a large, and usually (unfortunately) unnoticed affect on a game's atmosphere. From what we've heard, I think that the soundtrack will be elegant, if nothing else. (At least michiru's tracks will be) I think from what we've heard so far, there isn't much to doubt. I personally think that the OST will be killer. ALSO I agree that Symphony of the Night had one of the best soundtracks of any of IGA's works. :p

These will likely be areas of the ship that are accessible once Miriam has a double-jump ability. (Or at least the Bloodstained version of it, perhaps an increased jump height?)

I think Zangehtsu or w/e will probably be the second character actually. Yeah I've read about Zangehtsu and I'll prolly do a character analysis or something of him when I learn more haha. Who knows, maybe Gebel will be the 3rd playable character, or maybe he won't be a character at all. I guess he would just be easy to incorporate due to his similarity to Miriam. :p

Sooo...most of us can agree that Gebel will proooobably be the 2nd playable character. I mean it would just make sense, he has the same curse that Miriam has, so I'm sure that he would probably function similarly to Miriam gameplay wise. (Absorbing the shards of enemies, gaining their abilities) So this is my prediction on how Gebel is gunna be incorporated into the story, as a character.
eDiT: (06/27/2016, 5:58 PM [Central]) I will probably do a Zangehtsu Character Discussion at some point, as he is a popular figure for the role. Definitely leave your ideas for how you think Zangehtsu will be incorporated, and his relation to Miriam, all ideas are welcome. :p
*Unlocking Gebel.
I'm sure this is a no-brainer. Unlocking Gebel will probably just require beating the game once with the 'Neutral' or 'Good' ending, thus unlocking Gebel as a 'playable' character.
*Gebel, Miriam, and the castle.
So you start out as Miriam, an orphan that has been inflicted with a curse due to her progressive study of it in the Alchemist's Guild that she, Gebel, and Johannes have all secretly studied at. After discussing with Johannes possible courses of action, (And after Gebel has left to pursue his own agenda) you agree that finding Gebel and discussing whatever means you can come up with for treating the crystal curse becomes the #1 priority of the guild. So you leave everything behind, and go on your way to hunt down Gebel.
The first area that you start on is a ship (the Galleon Minerva) that is taking you to Gebel's castle, so that you can talk some sense into the man, and work together to try to find a cure or treatment for the Crystal Curse. You will meet Gebel several times throughout the castle, and each time that you attempt to recruit him and bring him back home, he refuses, and as the game progresses, slowly becomes more hostile towards Miriam. You work your way throughout the castle, presumably in an arc, starting from the west side of the castle, (ENTRANCE) and working your way southeast, then northeast, northwest, west, and finally southwest, where you will end up presumably back at the castle entrance, but now have new ability (Shards) that will allow you to proceed towards the center of the castle where Gebel resides. After all this, you meet Gebel at the final part of the castle, (We'll call this the area of the castle the FINAL GAMBIT for now, I'll discuss why shortly) and after failing to talk some sense into the man, you inevitably end up fighting Gebel, in a very climactic, paralleled battle. (Miriam and her crystal powers, VS Gebel and his crystal powers, much like in SotN where you battle Dracula as Alucard. Thinking about it gives me chills. :D )
After the battle, depending on what actions you took during the course of the storyline (I'm guessing there'll be some determining factors, such as MAP %, possible items, [similar to Mina's Talisman from DoS] certain combinations of shards, ETC.) will determine ultimately what ending you get. If you get the BAD ending, Gebel refuses to leave with you, you do NOT unlock Gebel, and will start at a save point BEFORE whatever event you incorrectly choose something in, and will have another go at 'correcting' said mistake. (Perhaps there will be dialogue options in this, and you will have to say the correct line to Gebel??? This is where the MAP % idea comes in from when determining what ending you get, as going into the correct areas of the castle will allow you to learn more about Gebel, and gain insight into his mindset) If you get the NEUTRAL ending, you defeat Gebel, he agrees to come home with you, but other than that, the rest of the castle's mysteries still remain largely unknown to the character. If you get the GOOD ending (Or best possible ending) you will continue the storyline further, teaming up with Gebel, to defeat a currently unknown enemy, who's secretly pulling the strings behind even Gebel's eyes. You will defeat this final enemy, beat the game, and unlock Gebel as a character.
(Also this is the reason I named the final part of the castle the FINAL GAMBIT, as your choices throughout the story will now either aid you here, [final part of the castle when confronting Gebel] or they will hurt you) :p
*Playing as Gebel, and castle correlation.
When you start a 'new game' with Gebel, I believe that you will start in the FINAL GAMBIT area of the castle. You will learn from one of your trusty servants (A parallel to Death, perhaps?) That Miriam has come to the castle, and you will, in your delusional state, be delighted that she's come to join you. You will set off on your journey to pursue her, however in this version you will not encounter Miriam several times. As she explores and defeats Boss monsters, you will come across these Boss monsters, have to re-fight them, (Perhaps to regain their trust in you as the lord of the castle???) and learn that you narrowly miss finding Miriam, several times throughout your Gebel playthrough. Eventually, as you defeat all of the previous Boss monsters, and come to the realization that there is but one place left that Miriam could be, (The FINAL GAMBIT area of the game) Gebel becomes outraged, wondering why Miriam has come, has slain his faithful servants, and moreover what she wants from him. You will inevitably reach the last area of the game, and the final battle will still ensue, though obviously the difference in this playthrough being that you are controlling Gebel, and rather fighting Miriam. After the battle, you learn why Miriam is here, and agree that her intentions are not dishonest, and agree to leave with her. You leave the castle, Miriam by your side, and go home.
*Features of Playing as Gebel.
-You will start in the center of the castle rather than the Galleon Minerva.
-The Galleon Minerva will likely be an area of the game NOT accessible to Gebel, being as the ship will likely be gone by the time you get to that point. (West side of the castle)
-As you start in the center of the castle, will start off with VERY powerful equipment, to make up for lack of being able to deal with the stronger enemies you would normally find at this point in the story, much like Alucard's starting equipment in SotN.
-The Shard System will be fully available and at your disposal when playing as Gebel
-You will likely start with several ability Shards, to increase Gebel's mobility and allow you to get to any area of his castle with little interference.
...and yeah. That is my prediction on Gebel, and how you will assume his role in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. Lemme know what you guys think, and also this is my first prediction thread, so please be merciful! (I'm terrible with peer pressure. :P)

I agree, button mapping should be a MUST. But button mapping has appeared in all of IGA's previous work so I'm not too over-concerned with it. Especially since not only the forum but the kickstarter has blown up with constant comments about it. :p

So the title pretty much says it all, and anyone on this forum who hasn't played either really need to GET ON THAT. It's definitely got one of the most unique RPG elements of not only IGAvania games, but out of RPG's in general. Lemme know your favorite Bullets, Guardians, and Enchants. :]
My favorites:
(Bullet) 1. Mandragora
Uhh...because of how OVERPOWERED this thing is. Mandragora not only does MASSIVE damage, but hits multiple enemies, and ALSO hits through walls. And for the damage it does, it isn't TOO MP heavy to use. Surely super nice for leveling up, as Mandragora can EASILLY clear out entire rooms of enemies.
2. Witch
Anyone who doesn't like the witch soul must do up-close combat because man is the witch soul helpful. Deals moderate damage, with a HOMING personality. Useful for hitting those hard to hit enemies.
3. Great Axe Armor
I don't need to explain why. You've played the game. You know why. :p
(Guardian) 1. Alura Une
Definitely one of the most powerful souls in the game. In Aria, Alura Une heals you for a substantial amount, making it easier to recover without the use of healing items, (At the unfortunate cost a large amount of MP) and in Dawn, Alura Une hits enemies with her flowering vines for MASSIVE damage. Also increases speed of vine attacks with more soul absorption, and increases damage done with the help of the enchant soul, Skeleton Farmer.
2. Gaibon
Gaibon, while it isn't that impressive at first glance, is one of the BEST souls in the game, in my opinion. Gaibon has an attack that always deals slightly more damage than your regular attack, and increases attack frequency with increased soul absorption. Plus I think Gaibon looks rad as HELL. Hehe.
3. Persophone
Ok...I admit that this souls is a bit more humorous than I would care to admit, but its also one of the earliest healing souls that you get and is increasingly helpful as you progress through the story. :D
(Enchant) 1. Headhunter
Headhunter is basically the hard work you put into collecting the souls of Aria and Dawn being paid off. Basically, the more souls you got, the more that your stats are increased. And it's not just one stat, it's ALL of them. And with enough soul input, it becomes the most powerful stat boosting soul in the game. Basically, turn it on and you become better in every way ahaha.
2. Lubicant
Kind of a double edged sword, but it pays off really well. Let's say you have 1 HP left out of like...800. your attacks will do some 3 times the normal damage. I mean if you're good at dodging then you can pretty make short of anything. Even Graham. The reason this soul is #2 on my list well...
...I am not one of those people who are good at dodging. :/
MOVING ON
3. Wooden Golem
...I BURN through MP. and this soul makes it so that I can continue to burn through masses of MP with reckless abandon. I mean what's not to love about that? >:D
Oh and also ability souls. I'd have to say...MAPHAS. Cause I love the double jump. Even though it becomes irrelevant in the end ahaha. (Hyppogryph)

I'm fairly positive that I used the same e-mail for both of my purchases. The difference in my case, is that I paid once through Kickstarter and once through Paypal, to minimize risk of things like this happening due to me confusing the rules. And you got 2 Steam keys? That's odd, I'm fairly certain in the comments section of the kickstarter, one of the mods said that you would only be getting one steam key for the email that you used. I would find it and source it but...the demo is out and I would have to scroll through hundreds of comments soo.... screw that haha. Well if you got 2 steam keys then, maybe there's still hope for you! Just let us know what fangamer tells you parodiusdaryl

Steam is just an incredibly useful and easy to use/distribute platform for software distribution in terms of both sales and giveaways. This is by Steam's design as well as its incredibly expanding userbase, as well as promoting a lack of piracy. As such things such as distributing the Bloodstained demo is like to happen through Steam, and isn't likely to change any time soon, especially when the appeal is to give favoritism to the backers of the kickstarter. Whenever the decision happens to make the demo available for everyone, then I imagine a separate download link will be given for everyone. Edit: Seeing that you backed multiple times, you should have been given codes for every $60+ tier you backed. If you paid for a $60 tier, and then made a separate backing for another $60 tier, you should have two codes. If you paid for a $250 tier, and made a separate backing for another $60 tier, you should still have two codes. If you only backed once intending to get a digital and physical version, then you should only get one code. From the sound of it, you paid on three separate occasions of $60 or higher, so you should have three codes. The question remains, did you complete three surveys? One of the requirements for getting a demo code was to complete your survey(s) by June 13th. You should have a survey for every separate time you've backed. ...no. LOL. Unless you used more than one email to purchase your tiers of the demo, you will only get one Steam key. "Do I get it? We're sending the demo to anyone who pledged at a $60 tier or higher on any platform and filled out their Fangamer survey by June 13. (But the demo itself is only playable on Windows.) You'll be receiving your key at the e-mail you used to back the Kickstarter. " /posts/1609242 (source)
