This Jar Jar theory? np.reddit.com/r/StarWars/comments/3qvj6w/theory_jar_jar_binks_was_a_trained_force_user/People digging up 'proof' that Jar Jar was the mastermind all along just makes me chuckle. Of course, we all know that Jar Jar Binks is both a good guy and the most awesomest and irreplaceable ally ever. He's better then you, admit it. Jar Jar is obviously what made the prequel series watchable, clearly if the story revolved around Binks the story would have been better. Really, while Jar Jar Binks had some good comedy bits, he really dragged things down. Though the hate on him generally strikes me as ridiculous. Which ultimately makes Binks a character I like in an ironic fashion. ("So bad it's good" logic for liking him.) As for my day, I spent some time toying around with everything that came with Super Mario Maker's update, and created a few courses of my own. There's still some things I'd like to see added, like slopes, moving snake blocks, Blarggs, some other enemies, etc. Also, the people who make coin arrows that lead you into bottomless pits are the most evil and vile individuals the human race has ever produced.

Never played Dead Space games. I've played some horror games, but I'm a guy who can get frightened easily, so it's not always easy for me to play games that are intended to scare you. (Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward also had some moments where the atmosphere was bothering me a bit.)
However, I do know some people who insist that Dead Space isn't a survival-horror game at all. Usually their reason is that survival-horror games generally are about making the player feel helpless and combat is generally a bad idea, but in their experience they could and would actually go off hunting enemies in Dead Space.
Anyway, the update that hit Super Mario Maker yesterday brought me back to that game for a bit, but now I've the drive to level up more gear in Splatoon, so I'm back to squiddy nonsense.

I don't pay much attention to cosmetic DLC (e.g. costumes), so that's a bit off my plate when it comes to Warriors games. Costumes and junk don't really enrich the experience for me, so I never really buy those. New battles/scenarios I do get... provided that I'm enjoying the particular Warriors game long enough for me to think that it's justifiable. I did go ahead and buy all of DW8:XL's DLC battles.
And ignoring costume DLC goes across all games, not just Warriors games. I ignored all those Mii DLC costumes in Smash 4, DLC outfits in Street Fighter 4, etc. The only alternate costumes I get in games are those that can be unlocked in-game, or those that you can get for pre-ordering. I typically pre-order my games.
I suppose I might make an exception regarding costume DLC if I feel that one of my favorite characters is dressed rather stupidly in the game.
Speaking of DLC, I'll buy SW4II's scenario pack sometime today.

After spending quite some time with Samurai Warriors 4-II, I've got mixed feelings on it.
I've never been terribly bothered by the lack of depth in the combat system of Dynasty Warriors/Samurai Warriors games, and most of the other criticisms directed at Warriors games seem to be made by people who haven't actually played them, but this game...
On one hand, they fixed a number of annoying issues that were in the first SW4 (my character now won't abruptly stop everytime he gets a new objective, the AI of enemy officers is less helpless and they'll even use Musou attacks on me) on the other hand, the story mode leans heavily toward the redundant side of things. Story mode contains 13 character stories, mostly dedicated to new characters like Takatora Todo and Naomasa Ii, each story is comprised of five battles, but the problem is that you tend to spend way too much time doing the Odawara Campaign, the Battle of Sekigahara, and the Osaka Campaign. To add insult to injury, sometimes the battle will be the exact same, with the exact same missions and progression. (e.g. the Osaka battle at the end of Kojuro's story is the exact same as the Osaka battle at the end of Nobuyuki's story, the only difference is some minor dialogue to accommodate the different protagonist of the story.)
This also results in Free Mode being overloaded with Odawara, Sekigahara, and Osaka battles. It's also lame that they removed Chronicles Mode, the mode that's supposed to star your Create-A-Warrior. Granted, SW4's Chronicles Mode got monotonous with one contextless battle after another, but had the perk of seeing my CAW start to befriend every official playable cast member. SW4II just has the much lamer Survival Mode. On that note, it's a shame that, although SW4 and SW4II have the exact same character creator tools, my custom characters from the first game didn't transfer over.
SW4II is recommendable to Warriors fans, but people who are less fond of the games should be a bit skeptical of buying this for full price. And I'll still be playing it a great deal, even if it ended up being a bit less then I thought it would be.

I've been sick the last few days, I think.
The problem is that for some reason I didn't feel inclined to eat, no matter how much I was starving. I managed to nibble on a few things so I wasn't in danger of death by starvation or anything, but every night I'd go to bed with hunger pains, and wake up in near-agony from said hunger pains. Which was not a happy addition since I usually feel miserable in the morning anyway.
But today marked the first time in like a week that I ate a proper meal. Just some fast food from Mcdonalds, (fries, chicken nuggets, and a soda) but that meal was probably 3 times more substantial then what I've collectively eaten across the rest of the week.
Overall, I feel rather good now. Never thought that I would actually miss the post-meal sleepy feeling.

"Scary" may be too strong a word, but I have had a recurring event in my life that tends to creep me out a great deal.
On occasion, when I'm by myself with no other humans around, sometimes with nothing that should be making sound around me, something seems to call me by name. (For personal security purposes, I'll not mention my name here.) I'm not sure what exactly is going on with it, but whenever it happens, I tend to feel compelled to drop whatever it is I'm doing and leave the place I'm currently at. I used to actually ask if someone else was there with me, but consistently getting no answer has made me lose interest in posing that question.
Most recent occasion it happened was the week of SDCC this year. I was at my dad's house doing some chores while he was away. (He was on vacation, I was given the responsibility of watching his house for the time.)
The voice itself is deep, far deeper then anyone I see on a regular basis.

I never knew Mr. Ed was a space pilot.
The old Marvel Star Wars comics had some really silly stuff, like Mt. Sorrow.
(That's an Ewok, one of the little guys from Episode VI, losing his footing on the side of the image.)
And who could forget the Hiromi?

I got VLR on my Vita during a period where it was free for PSPlus members. I did my first run through without any guides, and I went down the Luna route. Unfortunately, the game's 'lock' mechanic meant I was slung back to the elevator at the password screen.
I even tried to cheat at the password screen and turned to the internet, but the game won't accept the correct password in the Luna route until the game has specifically told the player the password. Heh.
Yesterday, I finished the last of Samurai Warriors 4-II's 13 character stories. (I hope any Japanese history buffs like the Battle of Sekigahara, because you'll be doing that battle a lot of SW4II's story mode.) I also played Disgaea 5's demo today. The Disgaea franchise's gameplay is fun, but I dislike all the grinding you have to do. Probably skip on getting the actual game even if I generally enjoyed the demo.

I went to a doctor's appointment today. I have both Autism Spectrum Disorder and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I'm on medication to deal with my mental issues.
My disorders aren't bad enough that it meaningfully damages my ability to function in society if I'm not on the medication, but it's nice to not be cartoonishly high-strung about personal space or feel the need to count everything. (Which is kind of funny, since Math is my weakest subject. Thank goodness my schooling years are over.)

My history with the franchise isn't anything special.
Friends had recommended Castlevania games to me before, and I knew someone who was a real super fan of it. Yet I never paid much mind to it. But then came the day I was looking at the pages of Nintendo Power and saw a fair article about Portrait of Ruin. After reading it, I felt that getting one Castlevania game wouldn't hurt. Bought Portrait of Ruin, and generally enjoyed it.
Later on, I got Order of Ecclesia. Unlike Portrait of Ruin, I never completed it, but I'd still rate it higher then PoR. Being a member of Playstation Plus also entitled me to SoTN and Dracula X Chronicles (PSP remake of one of the SNES Castlevanias).
You know, if defeating Dracula and his dark army is a task that can be handled by an adolescent girl armed with attack pigeons, then I'm not really sure why an appearance by Dracula is considered such a crisis.

Yesterday, I picked up my pre-order for Animal Crossing Happy Home Academy.
Razzin-frazzin space limitations preventing me from using my full username...
Well, since designing my house interior is my favorite part of the regular AC games, I knew I'd enjoy this game a fair bit.

Ah, joke Kickstarters. Like the guy who opened a Kickstarter to help him make a Potato Salad, and he got like $55k.
Watch this actually get funded.

Continuing with Splatoon online multiplayer.
You know, I've played a lot of competitive video games in my life. And something I've noticed is that a lot of players act like the fight has been choreographed. If they fail to do something, they seem to be filled with the resolve to "prove" (To who? Themselves? The other player?) that they can do that thing correctly. I can't even count how many times I handily beat a player who was probably far more skilled then myself just because they get stuck in this mental trap.
And then there are the players who have an ego about as sturdy as wet paper. More then once in Splatoon, I took out a player, and that player proceeds to hound me for the rest of a match, and maybe a few matches after that as well, and ruthlessly squidbags me (Splatoon version of teabagging, shift from squid form to human form several times over in rapid succession, done by just mashing the ZL button on the Gamepad) on the occasions that he does take me out.
Dat poor wittle damaged pwide.

I honestly feel that a company not interested in AAA games is a good thing. Companies focusing on AAA games with a 'go big or go home' attitude is doing more harm then good to the video game industry. It's actually refreshing to see a company shun AAA games.
But then, this is Konami. They've already made it clear that they intend to back out of console gaming once MGSV is a done thing and be a mobile company. So, this is just another nail in the coffin of their franchises.

Nintendo collaboration outfits for the Wii U version, please. We can go through the grim and gothic castle dressed in Mario's overalls. Complete with the hat, of course. Also, Pikachu themed hoodie and baseball hat with an image of Kirby on it.
While I have my appreciation for the serious outfits and sexy outfits, I'd probably spend the most time goofing off with hilariously out of place outfits.

If it's between SF4 and SF3, some of the SF3 characters might not be eligible. (Necro probably hasn't been modified by Gill yet, and Twelve might not have even been created yet.)
I do like how future content can be earned via 'Fight Money' (in-game currency) and 'Zenny' (premium currency that requires real $ to get). I'll probably be getting everything through Fight Money, provided that the Fight Money is easily acquired. I'll not be happy if getting Fight Money specifically requires you to win online matches or something.

Worth noting that the ESRB has been getting progressively more strict as the years have gone by. I wouldn't be surprised if Bloodstained ends up in the 'Rated M, but would have been a T had it been released 8 years earlier' boat.
I'm predicting T or M. I'll actually be a bit displeased if the game has AO level content.
However, someone refresh my memory as to what graphical style Bloodstained is using, because I know the ESRB tends to be quicker to give 3-D imagery a higher rating on account of being more 'realistic'. (I think I heard that it was 2.5D but I won't swear to it.

Finished the survey. Just hope there were no hiccups with the address. I viciously double-checked it to make sure I got it right, but I've had incidents where something wasn't mailed to me because I wrote down, say, "7th", but apparently I was supposed to write down "seventh".
