Makes is easier for YouTube videos and such, not that I'm one for that. Also offers an alternative to artistic touch. Whether it is necessary or not, it is an option to allow folks to choose how they experience the atmosphere. Similar to 'turning blood off' and such. I doubt there will be anything but subtle nudity if anything so it may not be a necessary suggestion anyway. I mean I'd they choose it, they just use the crystalization to cover up anything 'suggestive' for artwork in stained glass or characters. There's also local co-op to consider. I like to play local co-op games with younger family members, but at the same time, I want to respect their parents wishes regarding what content is considered okay or not. Most of the time this means "turn the blood off", but if there's content they object to and no way to disable it, there's nothing I can really do besides tell their kids "sorry, we can't play that". I think the option to cover up suggestive nudity with crystals (or turn off blood) sounds like a good thing to have, even if most people probably wouldn't use it.

Bit late joining in, but I've always been a big fan of Castlevania, backed Bloodstained before it hit the million mark. I play fighting games and stuff, so if that's your thing, hit me up. Looking forward to Bloodstained! Glad to have you around, Mr. Pibb.

There's a stream going on right now to celebrate the end of the campaign. Some of the Lab Zero artists drew sketches for backers earlier, but I don't think they're doing that anymore. Right now they're playing Guacamelee. UPDATE: A new incantation was revealed on-stream. Bishe ninja. LZ sounded like they haven't decided on a name for him yet. UPDATE 2: Final campaign numbers. It also looks like InDemand (the slacker backer campaign) kicked in immediately.

Not sure if mentioned but....why are the flowers in different spots? I can't move past this I must know ....help I think it was moved in order to help compare how objects look at different distances and camera angles, but I also noticed it's in different locations for each shader and it's not in the final shader 2 screenshot at all. As a side note, I can't un-notice the hatched lines for shader 2. They feel a little bit too grainy for me.

Allright, there's something small and fun I'd like to try this year with the Bloodstained community. It started out as a discussion in the shoutbox, but I'd like to keep information/feedback on it limited to a thread so it won't expire or get pushed out.
How many of you would be interested in some sort of Secret Santa game where community members sign up, get assigned a partner, and get them some sort of small gift?
But instead of giving something good, you'd be giving them something kinda lame or cheap as a joke? Such as, an infamous Steam game (e.g. Ride to Hell: Retribution or Secret of the Magic Crystals), a link to a bad fanfic or weird/awkward fanart based on something they like, or something strange/bizarre you've made yourself.
I'm thinking of calling it either "Kitschy Krampus" or "Krappy Krampus".
The main guidlines I'm thinking of are: -This isn't a super serious thing. -Focus on giving digital goods instead of sending physical objects. -Keep it cheap or free. Preferably $5 maximum. Old/unused Steam codes that cost more than $5 would be fine.
I know there's services like Elfster to help with stuff like this, but I also want something that doesn't require people to make an account if they want to sign up for it. I'm thinking of using some sort of list generator, PMing members who their victim is, and how they give stuff is up to them (PM, email, Steam, etc).
Any feedback, questions, or concerns?

This is the first big name to hit Fig, isn't it? I haven't followed that funding platform much. I'd say so. There there we a couple of medium-sized projects with Outer Wilds (which got funded) and Anchors in the Drift (which did not). As a crowdfunding platform Fig is aimed towards games, focuses on one project at a time, more tightly curated than Kickstarter and Indiegogo, and accredited investors can actually invest money into projects instead of just backing them normally. Tim Schafer also happens to be one of the advisors.ALSO: Psychonauts 2 reached $1.3 million in less than a day. As of now, $580,000 is from investors and $730,000 is from backers.

A journal, you say? A compendium/journal sounds like a good idea. I remember other IGA games having them and I don't see why one couldn't be included. I'd also like to see it update itself if the player defeats monsters a certain way. For example, defeating them with certain elemental weapons could add information about weakness or resistance to fire. I also think it'd be nice if the information carried over through New Game+ or when playing with different characters.

Comparing the shaders feels a little bit like like visiting an eye doctor. "Okay, which shader do you prefer? Shader one? Or shader two? One... Two... One. Two."
Right now, I'm leaning towards shader 1. I think Miriam's character model looks better, I like the lighting and fog, I can see the books on the book shelf, but there's a little bit too much red. With shader 2 the background looks better, but Miriam feels too desaturated, the furniture comes off as a little bit 2D-ish, I can't see the books on the shelf as well, and various objects feel like they're from different games.
I'm looking forward to seeing shaders 3 and 4 at the end of the month. Hopefully one of them will be a happy medium between the first two.

Campaign link www.fig.co/campaigns/psychonauts-2Double Fine needs $3.3 million in 34 days. The lowest tier to get Psychonauts 2 is $39 and it comes bundled with Pyschonauts, but there's an early bird tier of $33. I'm kinda confused at how there's no tier for just Psychonauts 2 by itself. Chances are, everyone who's throwing money at the project has already played the first game.

Speaking of text, there's two stretch goals for up to $2.3 million dollars in text form underneath the image.
I would really like to hear union voice actors in the game (and I hope the upcoming strike won't be an issue). Bonus dungeon sounds like a cool idea.

There was a Kickstarter campaign? huh, thats weird. I only know about this from the recent Nostalgia Critic videos, who had been urging people to support the Indegogo, there was no mention of it on Kickstarter. Either way, I'm flippin' excited! 2D Animation on the big screen again, I know that when this is done, I'm gonna go see it <3 Yep. I didn't really work out, though. www.kicktraq.com/projects/donbluth/dragons-lair-the-movie/While I appreciate your enthusiasm, the campaign is really funding a four-minute pitch. It won't guarantee a movie.

Heya, just joined up. my name is Johnathan, though mostly online I go by the moniker, NESMETAL (my main music project). you may have heard some of my work in the arcade release of Freddy VS Dracula....which would be...weird. cause that never happened, and it does not exist. anyway! glad to be here Hi Jonathan NESMETAl. Thanks for coming here. I've heard some of your music, it sounds neat.

Where are the stretch goals from? I haven't seen them on the campaign page or updates. EDIT: And like all major Lab Zero milestones, here is a pic of MikeZ pointing at a monitor displaying whatever just happened. Pic source.
EDIT 2: The campaign page has been updated with stretch goals.

I probably don't need to post this since everyone here who's interested already threw money at Indivisible, but since Lab Zero is so close to their goal I thought it'd be fun to do anyway.
I'm glad that Black Friday wasn't going to be as big of a hurdle for money as I thought it'd be. Kinda surprised at how the pledges have increased so quickly since Sunday. I thought the last minute backers would come in the day of/the day before the campaign ended, not four or three days before that.

I have no problem with nudity. Iga isn't going to go all out and grotesque. And if it isn't a shared option, then there should be a game option to filter it or swap the texture. Everyone gets their way. I can see that option being useful for people streaming the game or LPing it on youtube without getting flagged for mature content or anything similar to that.

Somebody get someone who's involved with art design and/or game programming in here to tell us if switching between multiple shader options for the entire game is realistically possible or not.
