I just received an email letting me know I need to submit my request for the 'As Said By Belgrade' backer tier. Here's a crude copy and paste of the email message:

Please avoid the following:
- Racial, ethnic, gender based insults or any other personal discriminations
- Words that contain a certain religion/cult

- Words that violate other copyrights
- Long words and sentences (please keep it around 10 seconds) [this was followed up with another email correcting this to 5 seconds] - Other words that could risk being offensive to other people
Please submit this by October 26th (Thursday) to this email address. If you cannot come up with a line by the deadline, please send us a message regardless.

Personally, I want to see rogue-dungeon mode executed in a similar fashion to that of Castlevania Harmony of Despair (not Dissonance). That is to say, a mode that stands on its own separate from the main game with little to no integration. It should be a separate campaign (save file) wherein you choose any of the playable characters to tackle a randomly generated level to acquire loot and become progressively stronger so you can reach meta levels of game play.

I'm a little late to the party:
Just like everyone else, I saw update 43 in my inbox, was immediately filled with glee and sunk my fangs right into it. Watching IGA's video announcement, my heart sank a little at the 'delay' but mere seconds after, as IGA pledged to deliver us what is very likely to be his best game to date making no compromises (something all too common within the last decade of game development), I gained a new level of respect in not just IGA but for our community as well. Seeing how everyone is taking this so well, responding positively and with such level heads, confirms to me that this is truly something special. History in the making folks!
I'm honored to be part of this adventure and share it with you all.

Just to keep the thread alive, and due to my excitement in the inclusion, just wanted to make a quick post. So Viftech and I are gunna be working on some guides when the beta comes out. Some of the things we were thinking about were: -Equipment Analysis/Location Guide, -Monster Compendium, -Miriam's Parameter Post-Beta. Also suggestions are welcome as well. And just another note, we'll probably just stick to posting Miriam's parameter post-beta on this thread, should A Man in Flames be OK with that. Absolutely, will be honored and more than happy to keep this thread going for when we can sink our teeth into the beta. At that point, I'll update the thread title. As for you and Viftech collaborating on a guide, if you are both so inclined, I support the idea and would also love to contribute if I can.

Nothing about the winners of the speed run for the demo. or someone reaching lv99? Yeah, seriously: what happened with the Demo Speed run competition? The thread went radio silent several weeks ago. And also, our savior and friend, LeoLeWolferoux , is well deserved of recognition from Lord IGA himself :3 Overall, though, update 42 is yummy. Looking forward to 43 with the usual bated breath.

So what's next for the demo, then? Is someone going to try finding all the glitches in it? :3 Someone should farm x99 of recovery items. There's only 2 different drops to go after, won't take long, right? I would suggest x99 of all the shards but shards are not quantified in the menu, unless I'm sorely mistaken.

Despite the demo capping at 99, the evidence produced by LeoLeWolferoux highly suggests we will be able to go past 99 in the full game! If the max level ends up being 255, that'll be a nod to Order of Ecclesia =)

is it me or is Iga trying to turn Miriam into a mage? I wouldn't go so far as to as say she's a Mage, but I concur that her stats have a slight inclination to Magical properties as seen by her slightly higher INT to STR and MND to CON ratios. Heck, I'd say her parameters are virtually inversions of Shanoa who had slightly higher physical stats over magical stats. For this reason, with the assumption/speculation that Zangetsu will be a playable character, it is extremely likely he would have the more physically inclined stats. Overall, though, her stats are well rounded which will still give players plenty of freedom to equip her to their play style.

Surprised no one has touched this thread yet...
Chances are extremely high we will, in the least, see HP/MP max ups. As far as core stats (STR/CON/INT/MND/LCK): don't count on seeing items boost those permanently. This is not to say there may not be other methods, as you alluded to the attribute system in Ecclesia. In my opinion, Miriams current level 99 stats (minus her LCK, is easily below average) as we know them, seem par for the course in comparison to past IGA games. Concerning Miriams current LCK value, unless it's buffed in the final release, item/shard hunting is going to suck.
Edit for clarity of my statements above: I am not at all opposed to seeing stat boosters, quite frankly I want them. As far as what I meant above, I am specifically talking about permanent stat increases to Miriams base state, independent of equipping items/shards. Historically speaking, none of IGAs past Metroidvanias saw any form of item that permanently boosts your character base stats (not counting HP/MP/Heart max ups). This is not to say it couldn't happen in Bloodstained.

Ahaha thanks. Yeah this time around I'm also going to be recording how many hours I'm playing so I can get a rough estimate of how long it would take to get to the hypothetical 99. Thought of this from Viftech asking me how many hours I'd been playing in the chat the other day. Hopefully after I'm done I can give you an answer to that, Viftech . Right now I'll say that it took 1 hour to get to LV 26, and 5 hours to get to LV 50. I'm also going to be playing as 'efficiently' as possible. (Kill Vepar, exit, hit candle on way to Dullahammer room, exit, hit candle on way to boss gate, rinse and repeat) ...also...I have a slight confession to make...umm...the reason I'm doing this isn't really to impress IGA, or even to say I did it...it's cause...I have a deep rooted problem... ...I am a complete STAT JUNKIE. Every time I see a LV increase, and look at which stats went up...mmm...DAT FEELING tho. Anybody who's IV bred on Pokémon knows what I'm talkin' about. Doing things to impress of gratify yourself is a sign of self-actualization, a characteristic all people should strive for in my eyes. Good on you! Sentiments aside, once again, I salute you for your dedication to this task. You have my support!

Even so we still got a ton of useful data and i commend you for this. Honestly i was shocked someone put in the effort to get to 50 let alone 3/4 of the way to the (presumed) maximum, in a demo no less! Thanks! I'm gunna call up a friend and have another go at it! I definitely feel as though 99 is totally doable. Its a good way to look for bugs, too. You should have a special credit dedicated to you as 'the guy who almost reached level 99 in the demo'. I commend you immeasurably for your unparalleled determination. Thank you for your massive contribution, and Viftech as well for compiling the data you captured.

Some more items to note: -1,000,000 EXP was achieved between the levels of 63 & 64 -I also believe A Man in Flames EXP predictions are correct, though I think the EXP is going to go well beyond 2,000,000. (I'm at about LV 75 right now, with EXP currently at 1,624,820, and requiring 64,930 for the next. ; ) Going well though. Again a 'fatal error' crash could potentially happen at any given moment, but going to 99 is the plan, Ghost Pepper. omg lol how long did you have the game running? xD good luck with 99 lol the screeny looks like it's from the future lol And the Legend continues. Amazing, LeoLeWolferoux . Seems my loose estimate of between 1 and 5 million was pretty accurate. Using the same linear formula earlier: From level 75 w/ 1,624,820 EXP multiplied by 24 more levels of at least 64,930 EXP TNL = 3,183,140 Adjust for TNL scaling, will probably hit 4 million. As far as confirming level 99 as the cap, if LeoLeWolferoux manages to pull it off, he can easily confirm upon hitting 99 if there's a To Next Level EXP value greater than 0. Edit: forgot to mention, if LeoLeWolferoux does indeed land level 99 in the demo, I believe it'd be pretty safe to say he is the first player to reach (theoretical) max level in Bloodstained... before the game even comes out. A historical achievement I'd say.

I think sanity permitting is the biggest piece here. I've got an HP Spectre X360, so I've got a pretty nice laptop. We'll see how it goes, it could still crash at any given moment, so I'm not gunna be like "PREPARE FOR LV 99, SCRUBLORD!" ahaha That laptop will answer to me if it fails on you... or rather, all of us. We're rooting for you! Don't let us down HP Spectre X360. Or else...

Got a peculiar, fairly inconsequential bug to report: When breaking candles open mid-air, it is possible to not have the object picked up dependent on some very odd timings of cracking a candle open, your movement while airborne and when you ultimately land. It's possible to recreate the bug by very nuanced, deliberate motions and timing, namely with when you attack the candle (and even holding the attack button down seems to influence it somehow). To illustrate, see image: You can see from the above screen, I am standing in the middle of the stained glass flower when it should register as a pick up. This is very easily corrected by 'wiggling' on and off it. This can also occur with money drops but is a lot harder to replicate. Incidently, I have not been able to replicate this with the smaller flowers since they sway left and right as they fall thus completely mitigating the phenomenon shown above.

Congrats, LeoLeWolferoux for hitting Level 40. Will be interesting to hear back from you if you were able to keep the gravy train running upon leaving the game idle in an attempt to return to where you left off! Viftech, that's a swank chart you put together there, even in my favorite colors! Thanks for compiling that for us! Some loose observations regarding the EXP curve: it's easy to see the EXP curve trajectory will see us go well past 1 million total EXP at Level 99. Using Level 40 as a base of estimation, we can very roughly estimate using these figures the following: - Approximately 238,600 current total - 18,600 to next level (leaving room for 59 more levels of growth) - 18,600 x 59 = 1,097,400 + 238,600 = 1,336,000 total EXP @ Level 99 if every level from 40 onwards retained the same TNL requirements. Of course the above are very linear calculations not accounting for the obvious increase in TNL EXP. I'm wondering if there is a formula for how much more EXP is needed to the next level over the last, or if it's an arbitrated curve.

Was working towards 40 myself when after nearly 3 hours of going at it: Fatal Error. FML. Here's my result: Glad I decided to screen cap every level starting at 30. The salt in the wound is that I was only one more Vepar kill away from 36 too... NOTE: I have the Buer shard equipped so that's +2 to CON. So base stats are 33/30/38/36/15 (STR/CON/INT/MND/LCK)
