It most likely won't be like Curse of Darkness because familiars were the root of that game however I do believe that ignoring logic it's definitely the coolest and funnest way to run them. I would make some changes though as in stats to be more fixed since it was annoying when the parents were going to be for the most part weaker than the offsprings most of the time. It should have been always about the tree of evolution since I alway felt I had to train another ID again since he was going to be better. Am a perfectionist like that, it isn't like you really needed to bother anyway.

Definitly the Armored Knight but I like the Fairy a lot too. If I had to choose only one, it would be a painful choice ! Between the Knight and the Fairy I'd go with the Knight because I like his art better.

On the forum, Goofball wins it free. If you can change your poll, you should take the first one out as currently "What is your favorite familiar?" is one of the options. I think knight took it because it's a very "safe" design, just decently cool looking without bothering anyone. Yeah the knight is cool, all of the designs have their traits, if possible I'd include all of them. But if a style would make it I'd love that sort of scary villain type for a familiar.

I believe a thread like this was done before on some fashion or another but I can't find it and want to see this through again anyway now that more time has passed and probably more people visit around the forums I wonder which familiars would people favor. First, with the high amount of budget that was raised in combination with the backing of the publisher am curious if it's now possible to include more than 2 familiars but if it still won't cut I'd like to see which ones people favor the most. For me I really like the one regarded as the "scary" one, the grim reaper, it looks a lot like Death and it's cool to have something like that as a familiar. It's also reminiscent of the Corpsey Innocent Devil in Curse of Darkness, that style of a partner. Also, scythe, and a bone red scythe at that. Who said there wouldn't be more than two familiars? Those 4 are just to help pick one out of those particular designs, they will have others on top of the one we all voted for. ( or did i not get what you're saying) I think you're right but the way I recall it some of those designs will get sacrificed. I just thought I'd make this poll and if Mana or any of the higher ups take notice it might make a difference.

Your concern makes me assume that possibly you haven't played many of IGA's IGAVania games. If you haven't, play Aria of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin and Order of Ecclesia, multiply their greatness by 4 and that will be Bloodstained. For an actual answer rest assured there will be a lot of exploration, secrets and a variable level design despite the setting being a castle. They actually mention I think in the Kinda Funny Games long interview before the Kickstarter launched that going with the castle it makes it much easier to include areas that would be difficult if the stage was a church or something. Also, when you think about it besides the fact that it makes Castlevania fans that want a castle happy it makes sense since it's more realistic for a castle to be insanely big but with something else like a church how big can it really get.

There's no way that's the issue am pretty sure it's simply because of their processors and how those systems are. The PS4 and Xbox1 are made of parts that are in PCs so they're like PCs themselves. PS3 and Xbox360 are much different technologies especially the PS3 it isn't something easy to program for. This is why the Wii U and PS Vita were stretch goals, they can also run the game but it's going to require to port the game specifically for those systems. It's a pain to cling to those consoles after so long anyway that's why the new stuff took priority. Also by the time Bloodstained gets released it would be ridiculous to come out on those systems as a new game on 2017 or later, released on PS3 and Xbox360. The only "recent" console that wouldn't be able to run that game is the 3DS, but damn am so glad it will be on PS Vita. It'll be great to experience it on the big HD TV and on a small portable system.

Honestly I want the best for the good of the game. If it's in the best interest of the game to stay at a pace that won't have anything for E3, no problem. If they have a beta or something that's cooked up enough to be presentable that's great too. At E3 this year my attention is mostly on any 1st party exclusives Sony might announce to make the PS4 more worthwhile to me.

Some enemy ideas are cool, but because they don't make much sense (unless they give a certain context) I wouldn't like to see them. Valkyre/Warriors and Animals are two categories that are good but I feel need some sort of context otherwise they don't make sense to be in the castle. Since there is an emphasis on alchemy artificial lifeforms and mutated animals makes sense, I feel if they include animals that's the way to go. Of course I still want to see the typical enemies we know and love from Castlevania games all the different varieties of Skeletons and Zombies, Ogres and Demons etc.

The Wii U pro controller works with about 90% of games and most of the time you don't have to worry about it, with the exception of games made for the original Wii. If it doesn't work then I use the gamepad, not as big a deal as it seems. I think Mario Maker is the only Wii U game I own that requires gamepad usage. If you intend to play old Wii games you will need a wiimote + a wii classic controller. It's not that complicated really. So then the Wii U Pro Controller will work for GBA games like Aria of Sorrow Pokemon Pinball or NES and SNES games? If it's only wii games that it doesn't support then it's not that bad. Thanks for the info by the way.

So how comfortable are you playing e shop games with the gamepad if you do? It's cool if you already have them but in my case am debating whether it's worth to get the Wii U and two more controllers (the Wii Classic Pro controller and the Wii U Pro Controller) or just go the simple route and buy a PS4; the Dualschock 4 is amazing and all you need, I don't have to worry about anything else plus since there's such a high consumer base already it's likely gonna last longer and there will be more games to choose from. On the other hand the Wii U has some fantastic exclusive games that I really want to play but I can say the same for the PS4, backwards compatible with Wii games and both consoles have good online stores. I also have a feeling that Nintendo won't let the awesome games on the Wii U not get the credit they deserve and will be probably somehow make them available on their new console that's coming but that is just my instinct. It's okay but generally speaking I play them on the TV with my pro controller. I don't use the gamepad that much unless its one of those off titles that require it and then its function is usually limited to that of being an interactive map. I think the battery in my gamepad has been dead for several months but I still log on and play alot of eshop titles with my pro controller. If you would rather have a PS4 then go for it, its got some good titles and the library is building. Personally I am more of a Nintendo/PC guy I play Pokemon, Mario, Zelda, Harvest Moon and I can pretty much get everything else on PC. I thought the Wii U Pro Controller wasn't compatible with older games in the e shop. Man this is so confusing. Am a Nintendo/Sony guy myself but thanks to various reasons growing up ( my dad) we went with the Play stations when it came to non portable consoles. I wanted to get a Game Cube back in the day and always wanted to get a Nintendo Console but it just never happened. Now am in a pretty big dilemma while I do want a Wii U for all its positives it's like Nintendo is trying hard with little things to make it hard for me to get one.

It's been decided. They already toned down the overly cartoon look of shader 3. It's been refined since its initial reveal. We voted and they decided. I know that stinks for people who didn't care for 3 but what's done is done. Did they? I wonder if I missed it.

It's true that a very large percent of the backers aren't really active in following the progress or contributing thoughts for Bloodstained, I myself haven't really made many back and forth conversations more like leaving various of my brief thoughts on a topic that gets my attention; but I do keep up with the updates and try and voice my opinions in certain polls and topics. But, that's just how it is sometimes. Perhaps a lot of people don't have the time to focus on Bloodstained or maybe the time they have they give to something more important to them. It's true that it kind of sucks especially when it comes to voting for stuff (the shaders being a great example) as I think if everyone that backed the game gave a vote thing could have gone differently as am one of those who really preferred Shader 1 especially for the character but the people who voted voted and is something you have to deal with democracy.

Am afraid that is impossible. I was also disappointed that not even of the 1 Shaders either for character or background, especially character didn't pass in the votes but hey that's how democracy works so it's only fair. Once you play the game it won't be of major importance since it will look good and you'll get used to the look. This isn't like a brightness option or something what you're asking is probably very difficult if not impossible (am not a programmer so take this with a grain of salt) and it would be a big waste of their time and probably money. It's too much of a nitpick to spend effort on.
