That was a very long post but read all of it and I feel enlightened. It's just like one comment I remember a few years ago that I read. That Keiji Inafune is not a fan or maybe it said gamer, but a businessman. Even at that though if he made lots of money from this it's a one trick pony since almost nobody will trust him again. I didn't back this project since I really didn't grow up playing megaman games although I did play Battle Network 3 Blue but that's a different animel, but I was planning to buy the game a couple of years ago thinking it'be a good game on the Vita etc. Glad I didn't lose any money on it and it's too bad for you other guys. I will say this though. If there's one thing the guy managed to do (even though as the original kickstarter guy he failed on his own game) is inspire other people like IGA that were in a similar boat but without any malicious intentions to do this crowdfunding thing and am sure and I mean sure Bloodstained will be how things were meant to happen. I won't say there won't be difficulties and rough decisions to be made but am certain they'll come out with a great game.

The way I see it the long term is what matters. Sony is continuing to push their game wether or not is a little better or a little worse, they have the instal base, they're bringing the first and thir party games, they're doing good. The X Box clearly isn't the favorite between it and PS4 but it has its perks especially with slim version announced and at the end of the day, it's Microsoft so they're ok regardless. Then there's Nintendo. They had Pokemon Sun and Moon and the Wii U Zelda. I don't know how long it's going to do it for them to have only Nintendo guys like us supporting them and missing out on the more global market. From what am hearing about the NX and with the biggest evidence being Reggie's statement about it looks like they're still going to keep relying on their first party stuff. I really don't get if they just had the Nintendo version of the PS4 along with their exclusives Sony and Microsoft would become so much more irrelevant. They seriously can have the king position and they're not taking it.They seriously CANNOT afford to f up with the new console otherwise it will seriously be the beginning of the end for them and in 8 years time Mario could be the new IP mascot for Sony.

I bought and played Shantae and the Pirate's Curse and enjoyed it a lot on the 3DS, but sadly I missed this game and found out about when I finally watched the whole Bloodstained live stream on youtube a few months back. I don't have money to throw around these days anyway but if it's coming on PS4 and Vita I'll buy it eventually.

Guys just want to ask cuz my knowledge about steam is pretty basic. Can we still redeem the demo through steam on the pc without an account or downloading steam? Sorry if I sound silly but if someone can give me the process it would be great. Thanks. You'll need an account at the very lest. I'm unaware of the ability to redeem the demo without the steam application. If the ability to do so is on their site, I can't find it. Regardless you'll need the program in order to download the demo. A steam account is completely free so there's no risk or worries. The only question to answer would be if your computer is capable of running the demo, and by extension able to run steam without slowing down. Thanks for the reply, seems am gonna have to miss out on it. I know that steam is free but I have no desire to download the program or make a dead account, maybe if there was a guest use or something, you input the code and can play the game but it's a pretty silly thought as I thought. I think my brother made an account that he didn't use much so maybe I'll use the code on his account or something.

A lot of the most common ones people usually mention didn't really do it for me. Muramasa Rebirth didn't capture the IGAVania style entirely but was a solid game so I'd recommend it. The music is very good and the graphics is how I imagined 2D Castlevania games should take after. They were that good. Convert that type of design with the scenery from Castlevania and you can't get the visuals down any better.

It wouldn't be bad if they feel like porting it later is a good idea, but it's a very good thing that Bloodstained will be added to the Wii U's library of games. Even thought it's too late for the Wii U, getting a 3rd party game like Bloodstained is something it will welcome. Who knows maybe with the gamepad controller it will have some unique traits to it like having the map on the pad or something.
As for the NX, I wonder how good something that's coming out so quickly and probably came to fruition in the first place due to the Wii U being a dud is going to be.

It's difficult to know since we haven't experienced Bloodstained yet. Depending on the story and other factors I wouldn't mind a sequel or two. But if the franchise reached it's greatest end I wouldn't want a sequel for the sake of a sequel unless it's a spin off of some kind which is probable for IGA's games. But hey, if he wants to use the IGAVania engine for a new IP Gothic romance or perhaps even something further than that then am all for it if it's good.

Ok I was going to leave this be but it turned to a hot topic and since am responsible I'll share a few more words.
To crocodile, it is entirely up to you to respect or not want to respect an opinion that doesn't follow a rational explanation that meet your thoughts, am a person like that too, however in my life at least there are some things where you can't bring yourself to accept and/or apply logic (not talking about Bloodstained and games for that matter). We're not robots and one of my beliefs is that logic stops where emotion begins. I had to ask for a favor that the majority of people would consider paranoid, something I knew isn't the norm but was completely possible and achievable as long as the person agreed.
Second, just because am possibly the minority doesn't mean that my opinion is illogical because it isn't. If the situation was reserved and mostly everybody preferred waiting more does that mean that the few people that were fine with a staggered release are crazy? No, it's just a matter if what works for you and in this case what's best for the majority. I realize that and of course I'll live with it and besides we don't even have concrete information of how will this work if it even happens. Which is why I was going to wait. I may even change my opinion depending on what I hear. I never demanded for things to run the way I saw fit.
Third, of course I knew from the beginning that since the game expanded so much by the end of the kickstarter that it was completely possible that they may not reach the deadline. If we had to wait 4 or 5 more months, hey it would have stung but I'd live with it. This depends on so many factors though. If they approach us and tell us the situation and the options, what they have calculated and how it will work for them as well people can decide what's best and some sort of poll or vote can decide. If it's like some of you say that the full game will be released and only something like external modes such as boss rush will be excluded then yeah it could become a different story. But the certain thing is that it makes things more complicated. You can't tell me it wouldn't be easier for them to just worry about a single release.
There are different factors and variables in this that can affect something which will affect something else. It's like some sort of mathematic equation. I can't really put to words what the scenarios are since am not there developing the game nor I know what the developers think is best for the game. For the people that can't wait to play the game and support this ideology more power to you, in the end chances are the game will turn out fine anyway. But am favoring them taking their time for everything, worrying about releasing a single package the way the initially intended.

Man I already watched this video like twenty times. For me, am more looking for a general update rather than a demo with all the staggered release talks going around am more concerned about that to be honest. I'd be good to see how IGA and team feel about this and what will be their plans. Am not gonna lie am not keen on the idea at all. I'm not concerned. I get to play the game I care about sooner and then get a stream of updates to keep my attention as they get completed. I'm in this for the main game and the stuff that typically comes with igavania's like 2nd playable character or boss rush.... The other stuff to me is glorified free DLC content and glorified DLC content shouldn't keep this main game away from us an extra year or so... Am aware am probably in the minority regarding this opinion, but honestly this is a more complicated topic that people give it credit for. It isn't as simple as your description of just playing the main game and then the other stuff comes later.

Yo he actually got rid of the facial hair. Looking like more of the old school young IGA. Something like a panel would be a good thing to look forward to, hopefully Ben will be alongside him. It's too bad since it's always in the states it's impossible to have the chance to go.

The ideal scenario for me would be for the game to come as full as it gets, seems logical since as backers we get exclusive backer content that isn't lightly stuff. Now if there's additional DLC I don't know how they would do it for this game unless it's stuff like exclusive weapons and materials it would be kind of lame. I suppose this will vary from person to person but for the people that backed in the higher tiers I want to feel that I paid everything to be paid. It's going to be annoying if there's a lot of DLC separate from the game. If it was like Harmony of Despair it would make more sense for that kind of game with additional areas for DLC etc. Yeah but this isn't DLC that you are paying for. This is downloadable content coming a bit later because it couldn't be finished in time. Again: The core game with the core set goals is what is dated in 2017. Now think about how much we blew their expectations away and kept going higher and higher with more and more modes being added on. That pushes the release date back much farther. So their reasoning is, let's release that original content first so fans don't have to wait many years for everything to be finished, and then we just give them the additional content as it's ready. That makes complete sense to me. We get to play the game, and when the content is ready we get to download it. It's not like they're saying this is all part of the main vision so we cut it out and are gonna charge you for each section we give you. The way I view DLC is extra content to add gameplay hours on that game or things like costumes, weapons and all that little stuff. Of course that isn't everything but what am trying to get that is with all the stretch goals and stuff that we unlocked we should (key word is should) have unlocked the complete game of IGA's vision in it's entirety. With a game that should be this full, it makes me think how can there be even more areas for DLC? Also, while I get that people are eager to play this game as soon as possible and am one of them too, but I'd rather wait 3 years for a complete game at the players disposal with all the options available for how to play it. It's true that we blew their expectations but you shouldn't underestimate IGA for all we know he could do it and even if there's still a delay which I'd find normal it could only be for a couple of months. You also should keep in mind that this game is coming for Vita too so there should be a limit on how much they can go overboard. Not trying to underestimate the capabilities of the Vita but there's no way it could fit and run everything smoothly if they'd go overboard on the consoles. It still won't be a mega demanding game but it's gonna be a huge 2.5 one so you never know. At the end of the day we'd have to have the stuff in front of us to judge because it depends on the context; without it nobody can say exactly if how they went with it is good or bad and honestly I don't expect IGA to make the game and then release more large content for purchase but who knows, like I said we have to wait and see the stuff in front of us to judge.

I felt I had to comment to his video since it was an important part of misinformation. Regarding Deep Silver, you mean? I remember Ben talking about it, but he never said it was Deep Silver. The Kickstarter video didn't say it was Deep Silver. We all know it CERTAINLY IS Deep Silver, but for whatever reason, they have decided not to announce their involvement publicly. It's true that they never mentioned the actual name but I think both IGA and most fans saw this this a triviality or maybe am missing something. The important thing is who is developing the game and the the fact that IGA is in charge meaning I don't really think Deep Silver has much control over the developing process especially with our crowdfunding result. Honestly it was extremely easy for me when I found out just by checking Bloodstained's wikipedia page I randomly found out. If am not mistaken I heard that their side backing amount was $450000 so exactly how big of a role they play in all of this I don't know. Maybe they'll tell us later since maybe they're figuring this out themselves, the big guys like you or any other the other moderators etc. could ask them about this.

The possibilities are endless, I imagine there's going to be more depth than SOTN but probably not as much as Curse of Darkness but if it's anything as half as good as that that then it should be great.
