For those of us on the forums that watch this project's development like a hawk, there wan't much news in the latest update. I think the most important thing from this update pertaining to the core fans is the new opportunity we have with the demo being available to new $60+ backers for a limited time. This is the perfect time to use our social currency to help out the project. Tell everyone you know about the game. Show them the demo videos. Remember how hard we pushed social media during the Kickstarter? I created accounts on social media sites just for Bloodstained. Let's use those again and include the igavania.com/back when we do. So lets have a contest to relive a little bit of that old KS feeling for the veteran backers or for new backers a taste of what it was like pushing for those Kickstarter achievements. The rules are as follows. Choose a social media platform from the image below and make something that gets some exposure for igavania.com/back. Then post a link to whatever you do here and we can all see how much exposure it gets (likes, retweets, views, reposts, shares, etc.). If you don't want your account name shown, just post an image (link it from imgur or something, please don't attach it as it uses server space). Depending on the exposure I'll chose a winner for a Steam version of Dungeon Defenders, a game my wife and I are fans of. If you win, but don't want the game I can choose another winner. Do these achievements are still working by the way ? I think we can easily get the Social Media objectives. I have no idea if it will provide us bonuses but at least, it will carry the project with a lot more people. I will try to share Bloodstained around me !

IGA and Ben Judd told in the gameplay stream on Twitch that Morte has no shard because it's only an half demon. Only 'real', 'full' demons have shards.

Hello,
Thanks for opening this thread for feedbacks. As many others, I had a fatal error crash at the start of the game (after hitting 'New Game'). This is my config I took into System Information. I also had lags and low FPS because, as you can see, my PC isn't powerful enough. The fun fact is the game was smoothier in fullscreen mode than in windowed mode. After trying to load the game properly multiple times, I finally managed to play the game and it was still playable and enjoyable.
So, I tried again in windowed mode because I thought I would gain a bit of FPS and reduce the lag but it happened I got regular freezes (1-2secs) and it was barely playable, sadly. How I kind of fixed the fatal error : Applying in windowed mode then going back to fullscreen (1920*1280).
So far, I have not so much to tell. I will post again if needed.

Hi everyone, At first, I would like to thanks IGA, Mana, IntiCreates, FanGamer and everyone in the forum who made this demo possible and I enjoyed it a lot ! The hype was real, though I learnt my PC is too weak to handle Bloodstained properly (I will talk about this point in the other thread about bugs and glitches). I won't talk about good points because I think all has been said. The gameplay is fun, the music is entertaining, the game itself is beautiful... GOOD JOB !
About the 'negative' feedback : INTERFACE• HUD deserves a little more of work to improve it, make it better, soften it... Place it more on the upper left corner. Give it a little more thing that makes us think 'Oh ! This is Bloodstained !' • MENU same thing, I think it can be improved, being purer, clearer, prettier, more classy, more gothic, more IGAvania... I am satisfied, but not absolutly, I think we can have more / better. GLITCH / FEATURE ?• See screenshot in spoiler : As another user pointed out, when Miriam sticks to a wall, she kind of get through with that blue shade (I will note it in the other thread as well)... What's wrong with this :
- It doesn't look good or legit. - You can actually hit a monster through walls and I think it's important that you fix that because I actually killed an Amy behind a wall. - Feels like a flaw in the game. MONSTERS / BOSS
I agree with most of people here : • Morte is quite abstract and maybe need a clearer form though it has to keep its muddy shape. • Dullahammer is way too weak according to its appearence. It should be a lot tougher : - More HP - More CON - More STR - More range to fit its weapon • Vepar looks good, but is not as strong as it looks... Need to be a tougher first boss. Same as Dullahammer, except for the range. - More powerful spells with another look when close to death ? Glowing water balls, injected with poison... It's up to you ! DIRECTIONAL SPELL / SHARD (FIREBALL FROM MORTE CANON) : Miriam looks very very rigid when using it. She deserves to be more flexible, having anoter, fiercer, posture, IMO. SUGGESTION • Equipping the leather armor doesn't make any change. Miriam can keep her cloth, but can she have a tweak like a leather part on her belly / chest / shoulders when equipping this armor ? Here is my overall negative feedback. Please note I'm very happy and satisfied with the music, the graphics, the gameplay, the aesthetic, the character and monsters, the level, the sounds, etc... I love it ! I just think it's more useful for you to know what bothered me. Cheers ! Congratulations, you made an excellent job so far and I can't wait to play the full game. Thank you everyone and keep up the good work ! The road is still long to go !

I'm really amused at the fact that a topic about a monster's boobs gets so much attention. First of all, I think the same way as most of us : I respect IGA's vision and I'm not offended by Vepar's boobs. When first Miriam shaders were released, there was the exactly same topic about her chest. Well, I like Miriam's shape. I like this monster's shape beacause, like Mike said, it could be pregnant or stocking its power into these flat bags we call 'boobs'. Also, I really love the Salomon's monsters and it seems Vepar is a mermaid but mixed with another ugly sea monster. Remember her face too, it looks like it's scaled or has a mask. What if Vepar was only a mermaid but got corrupted by glass, demons or alchemists ? I want to say : Let's wait and see what's under IGA's mind about the lore.

My partner is hard of sight and my best friend is colorblind, so changing text colors for visibility or aesthetic reasons is fantastic. Reminds me of changing the menu color in SotN. Actually, an option for colorblind people is really important. Even if we can't customize every single tone, they should have an option to mix colors so they can see differences.

I remember this option in first Final Fantasy (from I to VI) and in SOTN ! It was funny to being able to customize your menu a bit. I remember you also could change the color of your cape. Well, I definitly approve all these options to be incuded in Bloodstained !

I like the idea a lot but like EbonAnimus said, it definitly needs a turn off button for people who want to keep their profile private. It should have more options in my opinion like : • ON for all • ON only for friends • OFF

Thank you crocodile for sharing the informations, videos and fanarts ! We're always getting good things with you ! First, congratulations for your first time on camera Mana ! It's okay to be nervous, you did great ! You make a great duo and you both look good. I like your snake bite ! Somehow, both of your Japanese accent makes me want to learn more about the language. Anyway, thanks for the time provided ! It was a nice interview and I think it's a really really good thing to know Mana translating our feedbacks. It actually feels we can have an impact on the game devlopment ! Also, it's amazing to see that even Xbox interview talks about the forum ! I guess Mike had a great idea at first and made a great job so far. Good job everyone ! ha ! ha ! Concerning the game, I hadn't notice yet the goat legged lion monster is here. There is the yellow shard too. It seems it ups stats (here, CON (Constitution, aka defense) is upped). I like the animation and the fact Miriam put the shard in her (heart or middle of the torso ?). Well, only good things here ! I saw some people commenting that the combat motions are quite slow yet. Only few combat moves and a bit rigid though the moves are smooth. I'm not surprised because it's a devlopment demo but I think negative (not saying it's a bad thing) comments are important as well.

I agree with you all about artifacts and compressions and I thought it was just the photo of a screen at first. Now, we'll see when we'll test the demo ourself ! I hope we'll have some sort of feedbacks survey or something. Anyway, it looks amazing so far and overall ! In my opinion, we should point out every flaws to make it even better.

Has anyone else noticed the blood dripping from the left end of Miriam's status bar during the game? Yes, I like the interface a lot. Still, I think it should be placed more in the corner. Thanks for the info Pure Miriam. About switching, it could be a tool to switch sets quickly without reequipping everything and losing a set settings but only usable out of combat. All I can say is, we'll find out playing the demo !

I like the sounds a lot overall, Yamane's is talented as ever ! Although, on the Japanese video, you can see a clipping on the door at ~1:55 since Miram can't get through. Also, if you look closely at plusplus screen, you can see white blocks on Miriam's face. Basically, I'm not totally satisfied with her face yet. In my opinion, colors aren't perfectly matching yet (a matter of tone I think). It looks a bit pixelised... well, it can be improved a lot but I'm not judging because it's basically a demo and we still have ONE YEAR to go on devlopment and what we can see now could be far away of what we could have soon.

Thanks for your update ! I like the fact we can have several sets of equipment and shards : • How much could we have ? Two or three ? It would be nice to be able to switch it like in Devil May Cry 3 but that could be overpowered... Wait and see.
I like your note about the scarf ! It was nice to be able to customize Alucard's cape and have different properties according to which type of cape you equip.

Actually, could it be bonus movespeed or crowd control resistance ? I don't understand, can you explain what you mean? The fact it's a boot makes me think about an additional movespeed, like in many games, you obtain bonus speed when getting boots. Also, it could be a resilience to stun or other anti-move crowd controls.

11 minute video. DIAGONAL SLASHING RETURNS! Wooohoooo SPOILERS Alright, I just checked the video so : • Purple tentacles indeed belong to Vepar since we saw... him, her, it ? breaking through a boat's part when you climbing stairs and we can see the tentacles during the cut-scene before the fight starts. • Red shards are monsters power. It makes a great animation the first time then it just collects. The animation repeats when you get a different power, if I understood things clearly. As both Pure Miriam and the video said, you can equip these shards as it seems. How much in the same time though ? Although, I don't really like the animation when Miriam firing a fireball. It looks pretty rigid to me. Also, I'm still amazed by the game's smoothness. 60FPS is awesome !
