(I'm so bad about quoting...) Definitly the Armored Knight but I like the Fairy a lot too. If I had to choose only one, it would be a painful choice ! Between the Knight and the Fairy I'd go with the Knight because I like his art better. Yeah, the art work looks better in my opinion too. It would be great to have more infos about each's properties. I wonder if the fairy will have the same powers as the pixie in SOTN (detecting secret paths / walls that can be hitted). I hope it will be a less passive familiar. Maybe it could resplanish a very tiny part of HP or mana, makes you 2-4% faster, lighter (higher jump) or something. Or maybe I shouldn't judge her by her cute appearance ! ha ha !

I'm also thinking about Pokémon elements' chart. Fire > Ice > Fire > Plants. Water > Fire > Zombies, etc. As long as it's logic. I mean, how can leaf and water could break stones ? I have alternatives. BLIND : Reduces Sight radius. Like Near-sighted in Rogue Dungeon but black rather then blurry. CONFUSION : Mess with the controller input. Up becomes Left. Down becomes right. etc... INSANITY : Lose control of Miriam and she does random actions. I like these too ! Ennemies should have their part of challenge. This version of confusion exists in Final Fantasy Explorers on 3DS. When you are confused, moves are reversed : Up becomes down, down = up, left = right and right = left. I do like Insanity too ! We can also imagine heavy ground monsters that make... for instance, GRAVITY : Deny Miriam from jumping for X (5/10/15 ?) seconds, making some combos impossible (particulary air ones) while the monster casting this is rightly strong on the ground, using EARTH element. There is so much possibilities, actually.

My only concern with something like that is do you lose the originality of a sword made to be fire if you can just apply a fire element to any sword? I mean finding special swords with special looks was part of the fun but taking away the special weapons like that and just making it, any of these weapons can do that seems less enjoyable to me. Apparently we're capable of doing that in this game I just hope they design special unique swords and weapons within the game itself in the form of item drops or finding them. A good amount of them, I don't want it just to be due to creation. I got to agree with that. Then, what about having an alchemy / enchant feature that allow us to uncraft a weapon (unless this weapon is unique and you wouldn't have to do so, or have to use a special item / spell) to get its skin that you could put on every weapon you want ? Then putting an element / attribute on this weapon ? It would be cool to have more infos about IGA's plans on different crafting types but my opinion is that we can find a good balance for quite everything while avoiding to make the game too easy / boring (endless farm, no challenges...) / extremly hard / frustrating.

I know my point of view is pretty harsh especially towards Disney but... let's say I'm not in good terms with capitalism ! ha ! ha ! In my opinion, there is no point in denying Extended Universe as this is what makes SW richer and, in terms of money, I don't think they would have gain less making less but better movies.

Here comes the money machine. To my eyes, Star Wars now looks like a flattered lemon we keep to press to get as much juice as we can. The Extended Universe has been disrespected so much and fans have been insulted by Disney (somehow, not litteraly). I am very sad about this but I still wandering about Lucas's acts. I would never have sold my baby to a bunch of scammers.

Let me explain. I want combos for sure, simple attacks would be... boring, isn't it ?
Combos like Dark Metamorphis were awesome but pretty hard to make which could be frustrating when you succeed to do it only 1/2 time. Forward / Backward / Quart paddle is definitly retro but, is it logic ? I mean, I wouldn't like to see these combos just because they have their place into video games legendary pantheon or because it's retro. Basically, if Miriam is suppose to make a stinger attack, I'd more like to have to make a forward + attack move, maybe ->, ->, X for instance.
As another exemple, Devil May Cry 3 has pretty logical combos according to their effect. Push an ennemy to the air is : UP + Attack; while throw it to the ground while in air can be a fast : Down + Attack.
Think about Super Smash Bros too ! Combos are super logical and the game has very well builded mechanics. To stay simple, I don't want Bloodstained to be a Tekken where you have to make UP, ->, ->, Down, X, O, X, O, <-, ->, UP, Down to make the badass combo like it was a cheat code. With pressure in the middle of a fight, it's nearly impossible to make the 10-hit combo unless you're sure your ennemy is defenseless.
I think my opinion is clear. It's not that I'm against forward / backward / quart paddle combos, it's just that I prefer they stay in a certain logic if they are ever used. I trust IGA's choices anyway.

- I wanna say she looks slow but I can't tell if its because she's actually slow or just because I'm too used to maximizing movement in these games and watching speed runs.
- I can also see why they added those ribbons. She looks a bit "off" without some flowing garment.
- So I know they said that they didn't have the ribbons here but how come? Was this done before the model mockup from last update was created? Or were they just taken off the model for some adjustments?
- Interesting that the background and layouts are all orthogonal in projection but since these aren't final at all who knows what that might mean moving forward
Don't you think Miriam will look faster when they will add ribbons to the motion ? I think we should wait and see but I agree with you. It looks like a peaceful jog at the moment, though I think we'll be able to get speed boost with equipment or magic, or it can still change withing the devlopment anyway. - - - - Thank you everyone for the update ! I watched IGA slashing his umbrella like ten times... ha ! ha ! Such a cool move ! I really like the kick too as much as her pose then. I don't think it will be used for heavy combat purpose like Beowulf in DMC but more like a push attack, or a combo starter, I dunno... Otherwise, the motions looks really great ! It feels like an IGAvania for sure ! I like the tackle to get through the passage, good dynamic. The area switch is great too, going well with the 2.5D to make a good classic Castlevania game. About the interface, I like the mini-map ! What annoys me in SOTN is that you had to go to the menu each time to watch map. Now you can have a real time plan but like before, it should be uncovered at first. I like the health / magic bars and portrait too. I would rather see them even more in the corners but that's not really the purpose of the video anyway ! It's really awesome IGA gives us a preview on the grid map ! It's always fantastic to see how much they care about the community and I can't wait to see how far we can go. Also, I'm super hyped to see what vines people will do !

Less linear. Because with all the awesome modes we'll have, I bet we'll have all the linearity we want. Make this game richer, prettier, hugier, with more diversity, varieties ! I think we already have the linear ingredients.

Skeletons, spirits, zombies, armors and demons are Castlevania's classics and they will probably be here. I would like to see a new form of monsters though :
• Corrupted, for instance : Regular monsters who get infected by the glass curse Gebel done on the castle. It could be slow demons who can barely walk due to crystals's weight, 100% glass monsters (fragile but deadly, litteraly a glass canon so to speak), or sorcerers who gave their souls to a curse on purpose to get more power.
I'm interested in plants and beasts monsters but again, I like the idea they're being mutilated due to some evil magics or something. Uncommon monsters, variety, lore monsters along the classics, the weirdos mobs (flying lion head with goat legs ?) and any religions / mythology references, it should do for an epic bestiary.
I hope the game will have some sinister parts as well and won't be kiddish too much.

I like quite everything related to Miriam's room. I really want to see and to have a personal space out of the fury of the battles. I can imagine a natural room, with a fountain made out of rocks and pure water.
Being able to hit candles is a must have too ! The other idea of Bell reacting to Miriam's glass is also very cool, I would like to see this in game.

Secret rooms. It was a real pleasure to discover a breakable wall. Sometimes you can see it obviously but sometimes not. In SOTN, I've ended slashing every pixel of walls to find a secret room... Then, I got the fairy. So, why not ? Unless you don't have to be paranoïd to find it and to get this more interesting... you should do more than simply hitting the wall. Like, solve an enigma, touch an object like a lantern with a spell or arrow, etc...

Castle Design, definitly. We had some pictures about monsters, familiars, weapons and last updates were about Miriam design and shaders. Now we should see more about the Castle itself. Remember folks, it will be the biggest IGA ever made !
This being said, every design review and poll are good for the taking in my opinion ! Thanks for the infos about translation Mike.
