Damn I had like 0 expectations for the side game but now I think this could be the new classicvania fans were waiting for, truly this came out of nowhere. I knew my trust in IGA wasn't misplaced when I backed this project. Can't wait to fire this up in my switch.

Holy hell the actually IMPROVED the graphics of vepar and the boat unlike most games who go through a down grade... damn I'm proud to be part of this project from the start. Looking forward for the demo and keep the good job.

I don't know if people would like this solution but hear this out:
Backers get to fight IGA and get the swordwhip, yet both the description of the items and the boss in the bestiary are different for backer exclusive content that signify that their version is different, also the swordwhip could have some particle effects that are absent from other versions (deluxe or collectors edition). This is what I have seen professional teams do when returning legacy content to a game and has kept most people happy, collectors who couldn't back on time get the full experience while backers get a special mention and an item with the same functionality but with different cosmetic effects that signifies their version is a backer exclusive one.

Not gonna say I'm a little dissapointed in the size of the update, considering it has been almost 3 months on hiatus. Glad to hear they are important persons in the industry tho, if the english cast isn't as stacked I might play the game on japanese now.

It was way too short. I had faith in this project and god I wasn't dissapointed. Loved Trevor simple personality, also I loved that little Dracula backstory, makes it feel like his vengance against humanity is somewhat justified. Episode 4 was simply a treat for everybody who has played SoTN. Trevor vs Alucard is gonna go down as a top 10 anime fights for real.

Excellent, need size-info, which should be provided on the site (right?) I work out a lot, so thinking on getting a bit bigger t-shirt.. Or should I go smaller? Hmm.. Both it is then! Same here, usually the problem with the large ones is that they are way too baggy on the bottom and tight on the chest. Can always send it to a tailor to sew some of the bottom part tho.

God this pre update/ E3 stuff is killing me. Good thing critics are liking the game, not that I'm worried about it not being good because Iga has never failed to deliver when it comes to a 2D igavania, but critics reviews like it or not are crucial to a game success.

Love the update though! It's always exciting when more characters and story are revealed. <3 ALSO Alfred for post story superboss? Hmm? HMMMM! Congrats on that Lv 99. Also that's exacly what I was thinking, Alfred is the perfect guy to make a superboss for bloodstained. Someone shrouded in mistery with a fitting background to be even more powerful than Gebel. I Must honestly say that out of the 3 new characters is my favorite by far, so many opportunities for him to explore.

That harpy looks so blurred compared to what we have seen, especially the castle background with something so detailed and beautiful, will be ruined so easily due to badly detailed enemies I have no complain on the wolf though, looks pretty detailed to me I mean, we shouldn't be so quick to judge if we haven't seen them on a proper background, not zoomed and with it's proper attack pattern. I think they look fine and was amazed at how close they look to it's concept art.

I actually prefer the more dull and muted color palette we're seeing now. I think it probably reflects the castle's master's state of mind. Its almost like the world is infected and sickly much like our protagonist is. The super saturated colors in that concept art feels pretty inappropriate for BS's subject matter. Also, gothic settings and aesthetics always lends itself to subdued color choices. Dissolution and bright vibrant colors feel like a conflict of character. Completely agree, dull, grit and muted colors represent perfectly what this castle means. It's gothic and in ruin, it shouldn't be overly saturated nor completely clean. Sure they can play with the degree of washed textures like how they mentioned a while ago they washed the roof a bit too much, but I for the most part agree on the artstyle and the color palette choosen.

Love the village design, I'm sure that when they place enemies the whole place is gonna get a whole different more lively vibe. However as pure Miriam mentioned, there is a lack of shadows and plataforms, I understand as this is an alpha build and I'm certain they will improve on it. Also love how the envirorment is alive and the ceilings and floors come crashing down. Good solid update.

Now this what I call a quality update, technical details about the game and a little demo to show them. 10/10 even if we at the forum already knew how procedural generation was going to be used thanks to mana, it is good so the normal backers know it. Good job.

Ya what is this? They must know that the forum's been starving for new info to keep the hype up and to create new topics. ANYTHING about the game would have been enough. Exactly this, we haven't got anything about the game in months, concept art would be enough. Knowing each separate studio who is helping is important but I refuse to believe they can't share anything they have worked so far about the game.

Nope Any callbacks to castlevania at all should be kept to blink and youll miss it callbacks or previous iga works (not necessarily cv) injokes tucked into the background for observant fans to catch Agree. Bloodstained is a brand new IP. It bases itself on Castlevania but it shouldn't attempt to be exactly Castlevania. Little small details thourghtout the castle for the devoted fans are the the way to go.

Honestly, at this point, I would rather see Bloodstained on the 3DS than the WiiU. I was always sorely disappointed that we didn't unlock a 3DS version, I'd love to be able to play it and collect streetpasses for things like potions and wall-roasts lol. Short of that, I would much rather see it on the Switch than an outmoded console. Nintendo announced that production of the WiiU will cease, the console is officially 'dead'. Let's not be bitter over it, instead let's move on and make use of the Tegra chip in the Switch for Bloodstained's beautiful back and foregrounds. <3 Nah, 3DS it would mean downgrading every other version or handing out an inferior port for that specific plataform. We are getting the prequel minigame there tho so we get to experience a little bit of the Bloodstained universe there.
