Ah boy. A few things that I want to point out that nobody has mentioned here yet it seems. Ignore the crappy screengrabs I'm on a time crunch. So first off, looks like we will be getting double jump from this dude with the name I can't be bothered to look up the spelling of. Starts with an A, you guys know. What's the tell? The nearly identical rainbow effects on the back of both Miriam and A.
Next thing up: Looks like "loot bags" instead of unique looking droops are here to stay unless it's getting changed at the eleventh hour. This one is neat, and you can see other instances of it in the trailer(s), but it looks like every platform that you can "drop down" through is a grate or a set of bars or something. Basically a floor that Miriam can drop through with plausibility instead of clipping through something solid every time. Good attention to detail. And finally, it looks like that Japanese trailer is using a later/better build compared to the US on? Which is weird? This is best seen when you look at side by sides of the dragon fight. The US one is a hot fuckin' mess with missing textures(??) and all sorts of nonsense. The Japanese one looks way more polished. Not sure where the disconnect here was. US JAP
Everything else I feel has been said, so there ya go.
Damn so true, the japanese build looks so much better, this is even better for me, I though the game was looking better in the american (compared to the demo build that is) one but knowing that they are ever improving in the graphics department is amazing. Hype has returned to my system.

Very interesting, didn't expect to hear anything until next update. Neat little surprise to comfort the fact that Metroid Prime Trilogy wasn't on the Direct. Abilities look interesting, specially the teleport one. Also that inverted castle at the end, damn the design of the casle must be perfectly crafted for it to work.
God damn I'm in love with the box art, amazing work @mana

I'm sorry, but messages like these can't simply be forgotten. 2018 has been the release window. It doesn't matter if a formal or informal one, at this point. THIS is what people read, and THIS is why IF the game is delayed to 2019 the delay MUST be recognized as such. And saying that it's people fault because they "interpreted it wrongly" is simply not true and mustn't happen, because it would be an act of great disrespect at this point. Dude I'm getting tired of liking all your posts lol but we are in the exact same page, not recognizing the delay as such is gonna be a worse offense than the delay itself. I really don't care about it, I want a finished product I will enjoy but critics and contrarians are gonna eat this project MN9 style if the team doesn't admit a delay was made.

I mentioned this in the Castlevania Dungeon, but I think they might actually do very well to have static face portraits rather than close-ups of the models for dialogue. Just put the painted portraits next to the text boxes. That's just what Symphony of the Night did, so doing that for Bloodstained might give a lot of fans some good memories. Plus, the portraits would naturally be done by Mana, and that's always good. Just small box face portraits wouldn't be too difficult for her to draw, right? Join the group man, there is even a topic for that alone right here in the forums. You, I and hundreds (for real I have seen comments with 250+ upvotes on youtube and multiple upvotes on reddit and even anons in 4chan) agree that static portraits ala fire emblem/persona style is the way to go for bloodstained.

I think the general consensus I have seen all over the internet over different forums (4chan, reddit, youtube and here) agree that portraits are a better option for presenting the dialog. I personally would love still pictures showing different emotions Persona or Fire Emblem style. Completely onboard with the idea.

Honestly I don't mind a delay, at least Curse of the moon was released in 2018 and it surpassed my wildest expectations when it comes to a simple stretch goal project. I have seen the changes they did to the galleon compared to the last demo released and I'm pleased with the progress so far. Go back to the original galleon demo and play it side by side to the new one and the improvements are clear as the sky, orchestrated music instead of synth, excelent voice acting in dialogs, better lighting textures, details, enhanced 3D effects and overall presentation are better than ever. There are a few things I would change but I hope a constructive feedback will be given after the beta ends just like the last time and it will finish polishing the game to a level I'm comfortable with.
The press is gonna be extremely critical of Bloodstained after failed kickstarters like MN9, and if there is anything that I wouldn't stand is to see is this game getting 6s or 7s when I know it could very well be a 9 or a 10 if given time to be polished. I mean the entire gothic metroidvania genre hangs on to this game and I want more stories like what we had in curse of the moon, but for that to happen Ritual has to do well in the eyes of the public and critics. Half assing the game to release it early is not gonna help.

Not a fan of those dialogue animations. I think it would be better if they used 2D portraits for those instead of tweaking the models, I don't think we can expect any substantial improvement there if they don't. But maybe I'm wrong. Completely agree with you, and there is no reason to have ultra high quality models, triple A series like Persona 5 have amazing narrative with only decent models via using 2D portraits when a dialog occurs. From all the artwork I have seen Bloodstained could very well implement that. If a direct feedback thread is allowed this is a very valid option to solve this issue and I have seen a multitude of people supporting this idea in reddit and youtube.

Olrox I see absolutely nothing in the change that equates to "looking more gothic" other than toning the colors down.
Also, I find it a bit funny that you find either design menacing as she's essentially nothing more than a very large nude woman with tentacles and what looks like a jack-o-lantern for a stomach. The most intimidating / menacing thing about her to me is her size and pretty much nothing else. The monster screech coming out of a humanoid monster is also kind goofy. I'd find it more menacing to actually just be fighting a giant squid or something. I mean, I can't say I even know what Vepar is suppose to be based off of.
Now those enemies with the large circular blades that are chained to the wall I saw in a clip recently. Those look like menacing gothic monsters.
You are entitled to your opinion on what looks menacing and not, as I am to mine. My whole point was just that it isn't cencorship when you realize that your design would fit your vision more even if it is less sexual in nature.

Neither does claming making a monsters boobs smaller is censorship. Actually, that does make sense. Covering/changing/removing something, especially if it's sexual in nature, because some people don't like it is generally considered censoring. It highly depends on the context, I take Vepar 10x more seriously after the changes, it looks like a menacing gothic monster now and not like a cartoonish out of place fantasy now. I hated her first iteration not because I'm against them showing the breasts but because it looked goofy and out of place. If you make changes so your character fit more into your universe then why would it be considered censorship?

Im so proud of you guys for not going for the easy, generic and lazy targets for outfits and actually choosing them the least (nun and maid). I thought things would go the other way around with something like Maid taking first place and a Valkyrie being close to last. Kudos! I guess the age demographic of the game helped a lot for valkerie and elegant vampire to win, if it was lower I know maid would have gotten top 3. I'm also mostly sure that succubus got 3rd because Castlevania always had those in game.

So...is there any particular reason why NA is getting the shaft? No codes for any of those systems for NA. I'm not upset so much as I'm curious as to why. I'm sure there's a good reason, and I'd like to know. Gonna go on a limb that they contacted the NA department on a later day than Europe and Japan because of time zones and the order got postponed even more because of it.

Selected switch for mine, (and it is correctly selected I doubled checked) and got this "You’re receiving this temporary Steam key because your console code(s) are not yet available." does this means the switch version is delayed even though people are already playing it on japan? More importantly if I were to redeem this would I lose the switch one? It says that it is for "Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon (Early Look)" so is it just the trial version?

Not sure how true this is, but saw it in a Bloodstained FB group I'm in. All I can say is try checking your Fangamer survey page, especially if you're getting a Steam copy. (For the record, I chose to get CotM on 3ds and it's not showing any codes for me yet) Thanks for the info, yep I got mine for switch and still no code yet.
