This is actually normal. The trophy rarities on PSN are always low, too. People just don't complete games. I like checking out the stats on sites like www.truetrophies.com/ , since they have stats that only include the people that have entered their ID into the database there, in addition to the standard PSN stats.

I logged into Gamefaqs in May 2015 only to see a thread about swordorwhip.com . As soon as I saw the URL, I knew this was finally it. Back in early 2014 when I heard IGA left Konami, I immediately said to a friend, "When is the Kickstarter launching?". Mighty Number 9 had just happened fairly recently, so it seemed natural to me. I was really disappointed when I heard he took a "mobile job" months later, but I still had hope that we'd get a new "Castlevania". And sure enough. The swordorwhip week ended up being pretty wild. I was checking the site and other places constantly for new information. I still see it all so vividly. It seemed like an eternity passed before the "not Shanoa" and "not Alucard" leaks, and then the concept art. I had never backed a Kickstarter before, and I haven't since, but this was a guarantee for me. I've loved all the previous games, including Lament of Innocence and Curse of Darkness. I had to get a DS in anticipation of Dawn of Sorrow, and it ended up being my favorite. The fact that it's been over ten years since Order of Ecclesia has been released is easily the worst part of gaming for me. The wait has been far too long, but I'm just ecstatic that we're going to be playing the next game soon enough. Hopefully we all end up loving it and the game after is a much, much shorter wait.

I'm fine with the way the older games worked. I wouldn't want it to be too easy to get any equipment either.

Back in 2005/6 I'd often see people saying the Castlevania games had gotten stale. Not to me though. I was having a blast all the way up to Order of Ecclesia. It was easily one of my favorite series. So it was difficult to see the games just disappear. Whenever I look back on my profile since the PS3 era, that's always what stands out to me. It may have taken too long, but the wait is finally going to be over. Bring on Gebel.

Brainiac The Wii U wasn't included originally in the Kickstarter, it was a stretch goal added at the 3 mil mark if I recall correctly, I believe that's what he was referring too. That's right. "Initially" was a word that shouldn't have been overlooked.

I think it worked in Dawn of Sorrow and Order of Eccelsia because you only had two/three sets. You could swap to the set you want with just one button. However, with eight sets around, it might actually take you longer to select the one you want if it worked as it does in those games, rather than the way they're presenting it. So that's why I'm fine with it as is.

How do you figure that? Especially considering the Kickstarter didn't even include a Nintendo platform initially. likely based on the sales of Curse of the Moon That could be it. But Ritual of the Night is going to be very different, so I certainly wouldn't assume such a thing.

It’s quite alarming as well given the fact Nintendo is far and away Bloodstained’s biggest audience. How do you figure that? Especially considering the Kickstarter didn't even include a Nintendo platform initially.

You can't really be sure about this until you're playing the game. They gave an example of a "fire resistant" set, but how many enemies in the game will do massive fire damage? I don't know. Such a set may not be needed. But I'll certainly have an "equipment as strong as possible" set, a farming set (drop rate, exp rate, "black panther" shard), and an intelligence set.

The "story" section of the game probably won't take that long, but I'm hopeful there will be enough content in general to last at least a week. It'd be nice to see a few places reminiscent of the Training Hall, Large Cavern, and Nest of Evil.

Overlord One of the problems with including the DS games in any collection is the touch screen mechanics of each of em. I know. That's why I don't think we'll see a DS collection. I don't think it should be a big problem for them though. Dawn of Sorrow had more touch screen use than the other games, but even then, it would just be a matter of allowing the ice blocks to be destroyed by normal attacks once you've earned Balore's soul, and either making the magic seals automatic or just removing them from the game.

I'd love to see the three DS games. Lament of Innocence and Curse of Darkness would be my second choice. I don't have much hope it'll include any of those games though.

The tier I backed is for one copy of the game (PS4), but there were lower tiers that included two copies. So there were a few times I wondered if I should have gotten a Vita copy as well. Ultimately I doubt I would have played it much, if at all, and they ended up canceling the Vita version anyway, so I made the right decision.

Im getting Bloodstained on Switch, PS4 and on GoG, So at least the consoles, once I have them. I can collect some achievements, see if that is something for me, as a playstyle. "Giving you the idea that the game has something you haven't seen yet that the dev may want you to." < Very intresting, and by a riddle of sorts without guide or aid from the web. Right? Achievements is rather new to me, sure it happens on Steam but I pay no attention. Thanks for clearifications guys. Just confused when it comes to new terms. An achievement is an achievement, I didn't know Platinum was just the same (or .. whatever it really means). It's not going to tell you anything, really. Some people make achievements/trophies seem like this complicated, abstract subject, but in reality it's anything but. You're just playing games and completing tasks/goals just as you would while playing any game, from any generation. On your last point, it's really just a difference of name. Xbox, Google Play, and Steam all call them achievements, but PlayStation calls them trophies, which can be bronze, silver, gold, or platinum. The platinum trophy is only ever earned if you have every other trophy in the game, so it's a mark that you've done everything.

When I first saw it, they skipped over 26, 32, 33, and 35. I figured those might get added in for a total of 51, but nonetheless, there was a total of 47 at the time. A few of them will most likely be story related, so I'm sure they don't want people seeing the full list for as long as possible. You'll probably have to wait until a site like www.exophase.com/ finds it. Anyway, 51 is an even more common amount for trophies. The first four PS3 games I played all had 51 trophies, so at the time I actually thought all games would have that amount.

@autumn No thats not the usual but I've been wishing that they would do stuff like that for years, I don't know why it's taken this long, I didn't realize they did that for Spider-Man. So far as I know it's the only example of it happening. I know that Sony did have a thing where if you earned so many Plat's you could get a free game, I never used it though so I don't remember the particulers. And yes, Plat's are rewarded for obtaining all other trophies in a game's main list of trophies. Alot of games have extra lists of trophies through DLC and such those don't count in obtaining the Plat. It's definitely not the only example. You can go all the way back to 2010 with Final Fantasy XIII giving you a theme for earning the platinum trophy.

I'm very sure it will have a platinum trophy. On Reddit someone posted some sort of log for the achievements on Steam, and there were 47 of them. If the game doesn't have a platinum trophy, they would need a different set of trophies, since 47 would be way too many for a game without a platinum trophy. And I'm sure they will use the same list for every version.
