While I do enjoy my Dominique post having been the most recent one for some time, I thought this was an important follow-up and addition to the thread and points, as well as dareka's recent post in the update thread. Update 71Question Angel-Corlux " Finally, regarding some of the comparisons of current and past graphical quality, while much of that is due to shaders and lighting work not being fully implemented into the demo, we are aware of your feedback and will be keeping a special focus on making sure the graphical quality is as high as possible. We are anxious to report on fixes and improvements we make, so please look forward to it." This was the most important thing that needed to be addressed, so I'd like to thank the staff for their efforts. I became pretty convinced that this was the case mid-way through the graphics downgrade feedback thread, but not everybody seemed totally convinced, and there remained the possibility of the downgrade being permanent, so it's great to have official confirmation. Anyway, I'm sure you guys have lots on your plate right now, so hang in there and good luck!

Huh...yeah it looks to me like her shoulder is too far forward. The arm looks like it's laying on top of her torso rather than connected at the neck to shoulder. Should probably be moved backward some to connect further back there.
I never would have noticed this most likely lol

I actually like the new version of "Voyage of Promise" a lot more than the 2016 version, save for the lack of the lone guitar riff at the start of the song. "Luxurious Overture", however, I think is a little too mellow to be an amazing Castle Entrance theme. It just doesn't evoke the same kind of "holy crap" that's in Yamane's older entrance songs. Perhaps if it could catch even a sliver of the dark gothic feel of Harmony of Dissonance's "Successor of Fate", my all-time favorite castle entrance theme in CV history, I'd be more sold. In general, it just needs more "OOMPH". Yep, those are essentially my main points there.

I thought of something to add to this, re: Voyage of Promise. Someone else had made a topic not too long ago about them liking the 2016 versions. This is a quote with me adding some parts to it, as I've singled out another thing in that song that made it feel very well suited to the boat:
Musically, I miss the old intro sound for the galleon song both because it evoked a very underwater feel (as did the rest of the song) on top of reminding me of the beginning of Prologue (the beginning of Symphony). It is now more of a standard, authentic guitar riff where previously it had a neat nautical or aquatic feel to it.
Similarly, during the entire song from 2016, there is an instrument that songs like a low "dong" noise even before the "intro sound" I'm referencing, as in the very first thing you hear, and is used in keeping the rhythm that was also replaced with a guitar string. It may be simulating a different stringed instrument or a long held piano note, don't really know. Originally it really helped frame the feel of being on the water.

Remove the cheese from Zangetsu? Why not GIVE the cheese to Zangetsu What if one of our only effective strategies in fighting him is giving him cheesy mac bowls, much like how effective cream pies are on Richter in PoR. As he has likely not had it before, similarly to IGA, he will be stunned if not outright surrender. Elbow to elbow with elbows, all is folly. I like the ideas. I'm all for whatever we can do that doesn't involve just giving his character model a damage hitbox, since it's somewhat unique and interesting it is the way it is.

Yeah I collaborated with Mike on giving Iga that Goetia book, specifically "Of the Arte Goetia" by Colin Campbell is what we brought for it. If someone hasn't seen the pictures... The names of everyone that put in for buying it was under the seal there. Anyway, this thread really is something wow. I'm glad we have members who can and are willing to really dig into and talk about this stuff, and it'll be interesting to see what of it makes it into the game and how many connections can be drawn. Maybe Mr. Welldone would be interested in contributing to lore page pages on a wiki if we get that set up and running eventually? ;p As I was looking over this stuff, something else occurred to me as at least a light parallel that I think XombieMike would find amusing. The demon shard concept is kind of similar to Final Fantasy 6 magicite. Upon death and sometimes willingly, the espers (demons) crystallize their power to pass to humans. The Empire and Alchemists Guild may have some similarities, and Celes and Miriam are similar in being Magitek Knight/shardbinder. First paragraph here: finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Magitek_KnightIf Gebel had completely lost it, which he may, you could even say he's the Kefka here - being the "too" successful subject of the infusion process that gets incredibly powerful but loses humanity. Also related more topically and another can of worms, recently in another thread Nezuto posited the idea that perhaps this whole curse process in the game pertains to turning them into a "human" (or living?) philosopher's stone. That would be a pretty neat and clever way to add in a very Castlevania (but not obviously Castlevania if you don't follow it) background. Perhaps not working out with the actual study and understanding of alchemy, either, but maybe an interesting path to take things.

Oh I see, I just didn't remember seeing it show up in the enhance menu. That may be because I never got the materials and passed over it. I recall some shards aren't upgradeable, at least for now.
To the other points presented, yeah I see what you guys mean, but it lines up to be about what I expect from these games (lots of powerful things/easy). It might also be interesting if using shards a lot leads down a different story path.

Also estebant, you asked me earlier for sources on the "if" thing, and I remember trying to hunt for that, but basically it was a reply on Twitter that Mondo gave to someone to the tune of "if we do SotN, it would have to be x (Rondo first? I can't remember)" or something like that. Finding twitter comments when I don't even know if it was on their main account page is pretty hard.

That alone, no, it's a piece of the puzzle with the fixes that I think will be coming along naturally, some of which seeming to just not be active right now in the demo that may presently be in the main build as we speak. The team either way is well informed of it now.
