seeded rng i think would be a step too far Seeds is something for a DLC in the future perhaps. I do not see it being used in Bloodstained as is. Maybe because I am so used to see Nintendo classics thesedays being a seed-challenge in speedruns.

I am not a speedrunner myself, just letting you guys know what I think. Nothing is confirmed.Well , I am , (Broke curse of the moon - boss rush, world timing record) Need to upload the video. However, i want to re-iterate as mentioned in the above text in the original post DOES NOT NEED a special mode for it, It should be as simple as toggling switches in the options -> gameplay menu.
The reason as to why i am posting it here, is a request , if anyone can forward my request to the development studio.
They check the forums frequently. But I reached out on discord as well.
Options in the menu, like a tick-box? Would it add features? A timer? More? Let us know your thoughts. The mode is however a thing and will happen.

You might be pleased to know that a speedrun mode was a stretch goal that was met during the Kickstarter. It seems easy to implement as well Yeah, we need more than a timer in that mode.
Removal of intro text =/= skip cutscene easy or have them disabled.And a topic to discuss
Should updates such as glitch- and bugfixes also apply for this mode? Or would you rather keep it "vanilla" and "exclusive from any kind of updates", so all exploits can be done in this mode?
Steam and consoles will probably push these kinds of updates with or without your consent. If you are a speedrunner, I hope you took the GOG version, so no "must update" features are needed for this kind of speedrunning.
I am not a speedrunner myself, just letting you guys know what I think. Nothing is confirmed.

Hey
To the point, will a new demo roll out next year or later this year to try things out so Artplay along with the different teams are really nailing what people have suggested and are hoping for?
Would you rather have a showcase and later on a Q&A instead of a demo, if there was any in December or next year instead of a demo?

Since the game is now a 2019 thingy. Here are some more brainstorming ideas.
- Miriam could collect musical notes, these would be the music that you activate either at a piano or in a theater hall.
- Shop or monsters could sell/drop commands which are needed for your weapons and items to master them, unless you figure them out by yourself.
- Doppelganger fight activation if you want from a shard, this in areas of your choice (or some of the castle areas of developers choice), given by an enemy. Doppelganger always scale with your current level, making her/him auto-balanced. Doppelganger apply on all 3 playable characters.
- Goofball makes an apperance somewhere in the game, perhaps in a menu as a mascot (never as an familiar). Or an NPC you talk to or even save.
- I still would like to see Save Rooms being more, how about some would be a combination of teleportation or places where you can relax with a menu of things to check, like a bestiary and development notes.
And like I wrote on Discord moments ago;
May I suggest Q&A every 2nd month, where you collect questions and answer them on Kickstarter along with fan art, the other 2nd months in between, have development updates from IGA and crew?
This because
1. Questions will be answered and those are the ones we are mostly wondering about.
2. Saving time for more production and developing without IGA or crew need to step in to halt or have a slower development.
3. Still maintain a monthly update.
Also, videos are the best, but not super important in updates.

azdrerios Yeah, its a topic that comes and goes here. I just mean it can be a solution if needed. Static portrait works wonders. I believe Koji have fallen a bit in love with the whole Unreal Engine, and how much potential it has. Of course you wanna try stuff out, right? Perhaps they can use portraits as an option in the settings.

What astaroth said. Pretty much all they need to do is make her clavicle not broken. This could be as easy as fixing her skinning (binding the model to a skeleton). But at the same time 1 little change here can affect a multitude of animations.
Yeah. This. If it do not break the model while playing her, or any other glitchy bugs, then its an somewhat easy fix.
If not, 2D portrait is an option, as so many others have requested. For me its fine either way of the three options (now, shoulder fix or 2D).
And the expressions are on their way.

dareka Well, its something 505 games said, (the demo). I am aware of the time and effort needed. So many do not understand why they can't get demos on consoles too. It just needs a good purpose to be worth that time and effort. Add another year to the dev and everyone could get demo or demos, sure. But a priority must be to polish the product first, then show, after that release. But a demo will only make a longer delay on every single part of these topics.

I think he means a traditional demo just before or at the same time as the game's release, like the ones you can browse for and find on console stores. It wouldn't be used for feedback, but just the general trial and promotional purpose that any regular demo does. But to that anyway the answer is still maybe. No talk/announcement of it, but it's not impossible. Xbox Live SotN had a demo. Demo like those are usually at the same date or post launch, or? I don't know. I tend to try demos at very rare occations. A demo like that would suit the market for sure.

Just a quick question: Will you make another demo near release for all platforms? Last time it was brought up (during a podcast) and later part in a kickstarter update, the answer should be: "maybe". One or two demos would go out for the backers, which one of them would or wouldn't be an E3 demo of the "current" build, once they decided / decide it. So its a huge maybe. It all reflect upon if they really need too. Sure, the feedback is very good, and they could cut out just features in the game, but honestly. They know whats up, the biggest concerns have been talked about, and subjects like leveling and high-end / end-game features, quests etc is a thing they could balance post release. Same goes with bugs and glitches. Next demo, if there would be any, could be way shorter and more focused on a feature, rather than a game experience of itself. If they have an exclusive preview of it for backers, thats fine. Maybe you are locked in one room, and do different things in it. But it really is a matter of they need that huge chunk of data and analysis / feedback from us. And I doubt that. But as of now. The answer is "maybe" until spoken officially, and I am not an official state of a person to speak about their planning or development.

anonthemouse Mostly Koji that believes, if you buy a game - it should be completed. DLC is a thing, but not for story or experience, perhaps costumes or skins for weapons / bosses, but thats pretty much it. Unless they wanna make the exclusive stuff non-exclusive. Random encounter can be a future patch. It is almost like DLC, but automatic, and for everyone, free.

Zelminar Still, it fades away quickly. I understand the decision, (less clutter on screen), but a few more seconds wouldn't hurt, making sure they are in the background, heck maybe even forground sometimes when its small or flat enemies, like weed and rats. Ragdoll effects should be heavy, and if a shard would emerge - fine, destroy the corpse at once.

YänNot unfair if it only spawn so you can engage or go around it as you wish. Engage it in dialogue for example. There are so many ways they can fix it.

Thanks. Well, there are ways to implement Doppelganger. If the same doppelganger are fit for a good kill-streak, it can be limited to those rooms with actual enough enemies. Or you collect a good killstream that will allow you to summon the Doppelganger once. Doppelganger could also be tied into new game plus, which makes this enemy appear a few random times in special locations. Not a boss, just a challenge. Which should be in places where you can ignore or not. Rules for Doppelganger should always be that it's a big higher in level than what you are - so its always harder. Doppelganger as a boss works too, or spawned by a boss.

If there is a Doppelganger in the game. It might be a shapeshifting "he". And if, that would mean, this doppelganger demon could take on many forms. This would make sense if Zangetsu met himself, or the third character did the same.
