How are the odds, if Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, sells so well it can get a re-release but on more platforms? Vita excluded.
Anyone know the details on this, what is plausible if the budget is there post launch?

ssokolow It is still very fuzzy in details to be honest. I get what you mean, but as a project its clear that it will be made. But the details, well, I think you need to contact Kickstarter and demand those and read through a whooole lot of text for it, if there even is any. Not taking any sides, I just find it unclear to a degree whats ok and not ok on Kickstarter. I can also say that I am done with Kickstarter. I have funded 2 projects, neither of which haven't been released yet and I have the patience to wait. RichterB Yeah, I believe the product is intact and the Kickstarter project is fine. I do remember some promised being changed and broken. I am not an expert, and I see the coin on both sides. I just want the game to be released and wait for the score to drop on it to see if fans was happy or not. Being happy is good. And I do know some supporters aren't or haven't been happy. It is how it is.
browren And you are correct on the "we haven't developed any Mac / Linux" < Because that comes after PC, which is the source. They could still do it though, but recon it would take more time and money. Who knows? Perhaps post launch they get a great response and can make it retro-active. Heck even more physical copies!?

Cale Bootcamp was free when I used Mac many years ago. I wanted to play some old game on it, and it worked. djtanng Xbox controlers are used frequently even on PC gaming. Didn't take much peak at the images this time. Map is a surprise for me until I have fully expored it (or at least thought I have fully explored it). ssokolow Yes, research some more. I think the violation is only a thing during a campaign, not after its done / closed, I have no clue really. Because you know, there are a lot of placeholders in this and many other projects because they are usually pre-developed and hard to value. Many have already given the chance of a refund, this was however earlier.

I suspect 3 months from the day they say its going to be released. But in the past they have stated things just days or weeks beforehand so its anyones guess.
We was to have 3 months head notice to change our backer-tiers, upgrades and what not, but we wasn't given that. We got 1 month, if I remember? We was to have 3 months head notice that things would change, like PS Vita or Mac/Linux was a no go, or a change from Wii to Switch, but we wasn't given that either.
So.. If they announce it in March, we might get it in March. But I think they will aim for a September release. 2019 is the year however, no change in that.

RichterBI remember that fish from Guardian Legend! YänYou can still use Bootcamp, if that still exist on Mac to start up and manage PC files. Linux however, I dunno. Linux seems very advanced for the right user, and maybe fans will make so Bloodstained can run on it. Who knows.

Will give a grade post-launch because the upcoming "memory" of the game is whats key for me.
I didnt think anything special when I played SotN. I remember there were a few musical pieces I found very "strange" and "out of place" at the time.
Today, whenever the chords are stroked, it gets me back to the times I played the game in my small room, with my small tv in a giant black beanbag. Swapping SotN between Diablo on Playstation, before even PS"1" was a thing.
I do not have any memories to Curse of the Moon other than it was "nice to see". I only played it once, feeling it really is a bonus additional game for the main game; Ritual of the Night. Ofc, this is what I feel and I've heard a whole lot of Classicvania fans enjoying Curse more than I ever will. But still, no memories that are very special to me.
So rating, will probably come in a few years. I need to finish up the game first, both of them perhaps. I never did beat Curse, its too hard for me, and I give up after a few tries.

Curious what you would think about the following.
The Soundtrack Would it feel good to have the official game soundtrack in a case for the shelf, or would you, if you got the higher tier, rather have it "baked in" the box of your collection, where you have to grab it out of the box to play it perhaps once or twice before put it back in. If you would like a box style of design (which haven't been talked about, only shown as a mock-up concept on Kickstarter), would you let it have some kind of display feature? Like, if you open up the box a little? Or even the soundtrack in itself a little?
Would you consider to buy a digital soundtrack as a DLC on your platform, or on computer alone? If yes, would you rather have mp3 than flac fileformat?
If you wouldn't want to buy digital soundtrack, would you rather see it being included along with steam and/or gog? And if you got the console, would you rather have a theater mode in the game to play the music, or a code to actually download it on steam and/or gog even so?
Would you feel good about having a side A and a side B booklet or cover for the actual physical soundtrack, and perhaps even a digital version on PDF for you to print for the digital version of the soundtrack, if this ever would be a thing? Just for you to actually burn it on a CD and/or use it as a display? Maybe a slipcase? Or a poster of some kind for the wall, with the actual soundtrack motif on it, as an additional bonus?
And lastly, would you feel that Inti Creates could team-up once again before launch of the Bloodstained; Ritual of the Night so the soundtrack would include the Curse of the Moon music?
Doppelganger Would you feel okey to have Miriam as a doppelganger, or would you rather see Zangetsu being that kind of Doppelganger when playing as Miriam, and if you would play as Zangetsu (at this moment not confirmed) see Miriam being your kind of Doppelganger. If this would be true and coded as such, it wouldn't be a traditional doppelganger, but in a sense they could make it so the ones we actually meet aren't the real Miriam and Zangetsu, but later revealed being demons that took their form, and thus being really doppelgangers of them. Thoughts?
Future updates Do you think the future of Bloodstained with updates are going to be frequent bugfixes, or a few major patches if even needed? And do you think they will be forced upon (unless or even on GoG) to fix broken things that speedrunners might use to get those high scores, and ways for players to cheese their game? Do you think they will update the game to a point and make an announcement that they have other projects in the works?
Thanks.

The Sony PS Vita port looked like Nintendo Switch according to IGA but got discontinued due to Sony Entertainment no longer supported game development for the system, ending December 2018. Since the Wii U was pushed a side for the favor of Nintendo Switch, the main focus for Armature.com would've been PS VITA. They hoped to give us music export, PS4 cross save support, touch screen support and fully playable on PlayStation TV. Sadly we won't see it unless a port is made by fans. - By Enkeria Gin

Hey.
Do we want features that change weather in some specific areas?
In Symphony of the Night we had a tower that sometimes had mist, other times it was clear.
Today, just now (at the bus) I noticed thick mist hanging over a cemetery as we drove by. As thick as smoke.
Imagine areas where we do have environmental natural effects? I am talking about limited areas where you most likely will cross many times, and are not connected to either story or important sub-plot, like NPCs.
Would be like environmental change at random or after some areas have been discovered? Example: one area is raining because a demon is crying, once that demon is dead (boss or not) that area is clear, and some npc will point out, the rain stopped when the demon finally got some rest. While the rain doesn't do much than being just an effect, it would make the game deeper on the level of details.
Now, when it comes to the environmental change during boss-battles, that stuff is pure awesome if it ever wouöd be a thing. Statues being crushed, pillars being lifted to work as a club for the giant Minotaur in Curse of Darkness, or just walls and backdrops are burst into flames and let's the battle half-way be thought in piles of ashes instead, all depending on how that boss works?
Would you expect minor effects than those I wrote above? Would you like it? Would you like even if it was as heavy coding as I suggested?
What if we have a "castle 2", environmental effects play huge part? Have mist in areas we didn't have before?
Thoughts?

Cheatcodes should be "unlocked", if that even was a thing to lock to begin with.
The rest can be locked for me personally. I just want the main complete story-game. And I am a singleplayer, always has been.

Ah, yeah bit confusing here, what I ment with game modes; "Modes that disrupt the whole story." due to the dot, I read it wrong too.
Boss rush etc. should be on good unlockable, like before. I will try to change the text a little above. Thanks for letting me know guys.
I just don't see difficulty as being an experience-breaker. I am a casual player so I will probably never touch that difficulty, but if let say there are more things to unlock (other then achievements) I would probably rant about it, b cuase that would be an experience-breaker. You would feel that you must play a difficulty you might not handle just to get that 1 item so you can finish the game. I dislike those things, it makes you feel more like a worker than a gamer. I'm really fine with it being locked, but I know people will get annoyed if it's locked.
Rewards are things that doesn't kill the whole basic gaming experience. Challenges that are in there for fun, and rewarding just by completing is fine. But giving you an advantage in normal game mode because beating some other hard mode is something I am against purely.

Pure Miriam
Unlockable stuff are things that you do not need to gain or change the experience. For me personally:
Example of good unlockables: Costumes for players, change colors on enemies, change appearence on weapons, theater mode with cutscenes, soundtrack, remixes of soundtrack inside of the game, Alternate cutscenes reflecting upon your choices or replay values. Continuation of the story with new characters. Achievements. Cheatcodes for additional silly stuff like "Big Head Mode" or instead of bullets from guns - confetti instead. Replayability with new secret areas and bosses, but with no adventage nor exlusive weapon or item that you couldn't get the first normal playthrough around. Secrets being "extras" and not part of story as a whole. 2nd castle / alternative routes. Edit: Game Modes that doesn't break the story.
Examples of bad unlockables: Game modes: (Not whole experience of the story.) "Bad ending" only - "please try a harder difficulty!", Difficulties.

If players can skip cutscenes, even casual difficulty might be skipable. Options.
I know the experience is gone too, but some players do not care about casual gameplay, story or magic (shards).
Being an "old" gamer, I know I always skipped story-elements as young when NPC talked to much. A basic reason I never played A Link To The Past for example because "forced to understand the story, you can't play just yet" and it drove me crazy.
Today, I still haven't played it, but grown as a gamer and learned to appreciate the art for what it is. A game like that is locked, and even if that sucks for many, it would be a benefit back in the 90s if it allowed me to play but with the option to skip things, such as dialogues. I will play it very soon actually too.
Even if that doesn't make sense, to let you skip dialogues in a game like A Link to the past, it's still a game, it's your time and your interest in giving the game a chance. How about making it fun straight from the start with your gaming rules instead of feeling "locked"? That is the mentality needed today in games, allow people to experiment straight from start. I am all for it, I would appreciate it more than have everything locked, but either way I would respect the art, and see unlocked difficulty etc as a reward.
I just think the game would appeal to more gamers if some difficulties are unlocked straight from the beginning.

Currently in E3 2018 Demo, the sound-effects are all in stereo. Thats totally fine. But I noticed when running around, most noticebly in Garden of Silence that enemies sounds like they are by your side, when in "reality" they are levels below or above you. Its a bit confusing.
Is there any mention if the sound will use old stereo only, or 7.1 and/or a simulated surround effect so we can actually hear the enemies around corners, above and below us instead of having sounds on top of each other?
And, I also wonder, if there will be changes. Can we get a Sound setting that allows us to have a Classic Igavania SFX toggle on/off?
Having it on, enemies sound will be idle / silent, until you actually have them ON screen.
I know Unreal works differently and not frame by frame, but it would really make the experience a bit more surprising + giving, if there is a random feature / factor in place, a way for the player to encounter enemies not expeting at all during runs. It WILL add to the experience.
For now, I really want the sound effects fixed, and I need some kind of confirmation either way if there are plans or not to fix this "issue".

Konami, the lazy company. GG.
I would suggest for them to continue the saga of old, and not release same games a la Skyrim all the time.
It didn't end up on PlayStation Classics, I bet because of minor cash back, and when they got the question from Sony, they just did this minor project instead and got 100%+ cash back instead.
Imagine if Playstation Classic had 50 games on it? Loaded, Crash Bandicoot, Devil Dice and Symphony of the Night!? It would be way better.
And if you own Dracula Chronicle X on PSP, this dual-pack of games seems even more "meeh".
