For the large text in the game itself, even something simple like Georgia would add a bit more style without making it any more difficult to read. How this would affect other languages such as Japanese that don't use the same letter set is where it seems that things could end up getting more complicated.
I hear if you want something to be really classy you have to go with Comic Sans though.

roguedragon05, I'm not entirely certain of that. I would think that at the least they would be have phonetics information automatically generated from the vocal tracks and use that as a basis for synchronizing the lips. To do the lip movement manually seems like it would be a silly amount of work.

I like the general idea of using the 3d models, but if they can't fix the mouth synching somehow they'll be better off with portraits. Johannes seems to move oddly to me, even if he's out of breath there. For whatever reason, Miriam's strong spoken personality doesn't seem to mesh quite right with the body language of her character model. That may just be based on what my previous expectations were from other conversations though. I still can't hardly wait to try out the new demo.

It makes sense that the final release date not be announced until all the Beta feedback is received and adjustments they want to put in related to that added in to the timeline.

every delay is a nail in the coffin for the vita port though. Certainly for a physical vita card. I'm not entirely convinced of this. At this point the backer survey is closed, so they already know how many vita cards they're going to need. If they're not already in the process of getting what's needed for this they should be at least getting it coordinated so they'll have them when needed.

My understanding is that backers will get a physical Vita cart, but for general release it will be online only.

Who is that in the first painting, on the galleon level (stage 5)? It's not Mana, is it? I was wondering about that myself.

Growing up with them I never blamed the old Castlevania games for their jump physics. It was just part of the game, and at the time that was one of the best ones out there. The original one was a quarter muncher that was intentionally meant to be very challenging and that was one of the aspects of that challenge.

There have also been a few instances that I've heard of where specific DRMs have been resource hogs that show down the games on the systems that they're on, or have outright had malware included in them which tends to be something that comes up against them in general as well.

4 out of 5 with some minor nitpicks here and there. For the record, I'm relatively certain that bathtub on the Bloodless level would be larger than some houses if scaled from the game properly. That's not specifically one of my nitpicks though since I find it kind of humorous.

Were they still with Inti for that original demo? I'm thinking the specs could end up varying quite a bit because of the change in developer as well as updates based on the overall game development itself.

The patterns for Valefor could be tweaked a bit, but I see where you need to hit him being the biggest thing. Once you find out you don't have to hit him in the head and attacking the money itself hurts him, the battle is easy and it's not that difficult to find out. I understand to a degree why they did it, but it turned that fight from 'how am I going to do this' to 'wait, that killed him?' Still one of my favorite bosses despite being on the easy side.

No X-Box codes yet if you're counting that. Any bets out there on whether they'll come before or after the next RotN demo? Remember, they said those were coming out on the 8th just before release. Thanks, I think I may have missed that for some reason. Based on how the release has gone so far I'll believe it when I see it, and I haven't seen it yet (This is when the code is supposed to magically appear in my Fangamer survey to prove me wrong.).

Soloing Zangetsu in veteran mode without killing any allies, or in Ultimate mode is rough. Other than that nothing seemed terribly difficult.

Aren't they referring to the Backer Surveys handled by Fangamer? It'd make sense they can't order the codes until they're told how many to order >.> Yes, but somewhere along the line they should have given Fangamer information on when they needed that information so that they would have enough time to generate and send the codes. Each platform is going to have it's own turn-around for how quickly you can expect the codes to be provided (to Inti) for each platform. While these times are never set in stone, an estimate of how long it will usually take can be gotten and used in planning, taking the longest lead time as what will be needed to get the codes.
For example, if it will take up to 4 weeks to get codes back for the X-Box and that's the longest wait time then Inti would need to tell Fangamer that they need the survey information 4 weeks before their launch date so that appropriate time can be scheduled for processing of the backer codes.

I was more worried about people pirating the game out of spite, or not wanting to buy the game at all, once they find it has locked content. Lot of people pretend they're all self righteous in their pirating if they find a business practice they don't agree with. "They did a business practice I find morally wrong, so it's fine if I do the morally wrong act of piracy in return!" There's no way to prove whether that will have a major impact on the game's sales or not, but tbh, I think Bloodstained might be boned on this decision either way. I tend to think the people who pirate the game are generally going to do so regardless, and will make up whatever their justification is after the fact even though it had little impact on the original decision.
