I'd thought it's hit box went in more of a straight line from above her head to out in front rather than an arc. I'll have to play around with it some more to see.

Are the X-Box one releases required to follow the Microsoft release pattern of being on Tuesdays?

One of the enemy chairs in the library area had a tendency to do this as well. I hadn't realized there was a way to get your character back after that. I wonder if this was semi-intentional given the Summon Chair shard.

I found it easier to do with the Plume Parma, but have done it with both. I'm guessing it would be possible to get the knight that's there into it too if you're careful about it but probably not worth the effort.

I was kind of bummed when I hit that glitch as I was looking forward to that fight. Ended up replaying it afterwards. It's interesting to see where the model ends though.

I've played it on PC and X-Box and it definitely plays better on my PC. The X-Box version loads slowly and has a tendency to crash when going back and forth between Dominique and Johannes.

If I had an excessive amount of money I'd probably still get in contact with them to see if they would do a commission of the stained glass sword. I'm guessing something like that would be waaay out of my price range just seeing the work that goes into them. I am looking forward to seeing the Heirloom sword build though.

Perhaps will we never know to deep detail the reasons of why they canceled the Linux/Mac ports, just the vague "middleware issues" statement, but at least they're giving the option to the affected backers to change their Bloodstained digital copy to physical, so they can sell it and get more money that they had been backed. I know it sucks, and it wasn't a nice and fair thing, not by a long shot, but at least it's something. Where did you get this information from? I thought they were no longer allowing changes to platforms and were not allowing a change between digital and physical since they were based on different backer levels?

Nice. There's been a new one the Gametal channel recently too.
I love the clockwork track by Ferdk as well as it's one you don't hear as often and the original has always been one of my favorites.

If they thought the backlash from cancelling Mac / Linux and other promised platforms wasn't all that bad they should try this and see the ****storm it would generate.

I've heard of metal band Bloodstained Ground, is that close enough? I think there was also a Polish Metal band called Bloodstained at one point but don't remember seeing anything significant from them.

Richter was limited in that he had no real gear other than his sub-weapon, but if you played the older games he was in that mode hit you right in the nostalgia. It's something where unless they're calling back to Castlevania which we already got a lot of in the "mini-game" I don't think it would work as well in this instance.

So, what does this have to do with the updates? Well, having so many features means you have to spend lots of time working on the game's back-end, i.e. things that won't show well until you have the finished product in your hands. Picture it: September update: "We've made huge progress on the dev tools, guys, now our planners (game designers) can polish this feature to a shine without waiting for new builds! Aren't you excited?" October update: "OK, so after weeks of testing, we think we've found the right balance between performance and memory consumption for this area. It's gonna look the same as before, but it'll run a lot better on the weaker hardware." November update: "Finally managed to fix that bug that was causing the game to crash when you beat the game in Boss Rush mode. It was only happening with a certain specific hardware and driver configuration, but it was just unacceptable. Also, automatic enemy placement has been incorporated into the dev tools, and the ai scripting features have also been significantly improved." This is what actual game development looks like: lots and lots of coding and testing to create an environment what will let you implement and fine tune all of the features that will ultimately show in the final product. But most people probably don't want to see that in an update, so... the devs go mum. I'm probably in the minority here, but I would find the inclusion of some of the more technical details related to development mixed in with the current style of update to be fascinating. It would probably put me a little bit more at ease with the way things have been going as well. While the reasons for them dropping other platforms based on their becoming obsolete seems more like something that has to be grudgingly accepts, I find them dropping Mac and Linux with very little explanation of why to be more off-putting.

Your favorite Indie Metroidvanias: Does Dead Cells count as a Metroidvania since it's got so much rogue elements in it? Does the Guacamelee series count as an Indie series? If not then I'd probably go with Hollow Knight.
how you feel about new remakes and HD titles coming out recently: I haven't been following recent remakes and HD titles too closely, or at least nothing I've deemed worth my while has caught my attention.
if you could remake one non-Nintendo or SQ-EX game from PS2 or earlier, what would it be?: Demon's Crest was a fun one that would potentially be worth a revisit if it were remade or had a sequel.

Been starting in on Guacamelee 2. I'd probably just end up being some random village NPC or such here as I don't think I've really got the build to be a luchador. Maybe I could give Juan some lame side-quest. The scene at the beginning with Calaca is all kinds of awesome.

It gets weirder than that even. I was told by a knowledgeable person, I'm not going to name them here for obvious reasons, that there was a very specific piece of information that Angel personally does not want revealed at this point and is actually what started this. This broad deletion of spoiler content is so that it doesn't look like he is cherry picking information to remove. Angel-Corlux is actually going to be a boss in the game. Ironically one of his special powers is that if he beats you it will delete your current save game, so remember to back up your save game before fighting him.

This is a major stretch (no pun intended). I would have very much intended the pun personally. At the same time I always feel that when someone says "no pun intended" they definitely want to point out that the pun is there and did in fact intend it. That may just be the people I hang out with though.
