I am kinda surprised on how negative are the MN9 reviews (48% on Steam right now), i didn't backed or played it but have seen several videos and reviews and it seems fine to me, and i loved the old MM games, i believe people had an excessive hype for this, clearly the game is not as good as a MM, but still quite enjoyable as i see it. When you think on how hard is to make that game on that style from scratch you realize it is actually pretty good and have a huge potential do improve on a sequel.
I am disappointed by the fan base reaction, hope it doesn't kill possibilities to a sequel or at least a new game that bring the team closer to the goal to recreate the feeling of playing a MM game. If you ask me to give a score from 1 to 10, i would likely give it something between 6 and 7.

Just found a new video about the Bloodstained demo, this time this guy seems more experienced with the igavanias, he tried ways to speed up the attacks combinig the attack + backdash + attack for example or mid air + landing attack, pretty interesting.

Well, all things considered, 2018 is going to be quite the exciting year for space exploration. Can't wait. I agree with thrashinuva, however. Should be much easier to set up on the moon FIRST, then mars, not the other way around. You are right, the Moon is far easier, less risky and could help us to develop and test all the habitats and stuff needed for Mars. But we are talking about SpaceX, they focusing on Mars planning far in the future, Mars is the only body on the solar system that can be habitable to humans without the need of being enclosed in a habitat if we terraform it properly, a process that could take centuries to millenia to complete, but in the end could give us a true habitable planet, and that is what THEY want for the far future. The Moon cannot be terraformed to become habitable as the Earth for several reasons, one of the most important maybe is the night/day cycle, several days of darkness followed of several days of sunshine. Even so since terraforming takes that much time the Moon could serve as a testground for Mars, however this could delay in several decades any journey to Mars and SpaceX don't want to wait that long, it is just a matter of focus. Of course if you ask me i would agree to go to the Moon first and test everything out to make sure it is safe and works as intended, but it is not upon to me and SpaceX very likely won't change their minds. They are just taking the risks, i am sure many people think we are skipping a step and that is true, but somehow watching the success on their flights makes me think maybe they are ready for it. However i sure am very interested on the Moon, but that's not SpaceX priorities, i believe we will do both the Moon and Mars at the same time, ESA, Russia, Japan and China do have plans to build bases on the Moon.

Ouch, had no idea I could get the demo by pledging, nor do I understand how to pledge just yet. The demo looks amazing. Back dash canceling, yes. Dual back dash canceling I wonder? Corner jumps? Love it!! I've never felt so out of my mind about a game release. I think I have well over 600 hours in Harmony of Despair and imagine this one I'll be putting in 1000 or more if there's multiplayer. Very glad I found this forum, just found it too late! I'm slightly disappointed that backers receive more game content, instead of having it only be cosmetic. In Path of Exile I've paid hundreds on cosmetics, but never for content, I think that's a major flaw, since those who can't pay that much right away won't have access to the whole game. Even if it's only one hidden boss. I'm sure he has some nice drops, and it should not be pay for unless it's purely DLC. I know what you mean, however this kind of extras makes sense since people are paying for something they can't even see yet, also these things are EXTRAS, the boss have no connection to the story or anything. People who pays during KS are helping to bring the project to life, otherwise there could be no game after all so of course they deserve more, while your point makes sense that we could receive just cosmetic things instead of a new boss and weapon i do not see it as a problem.

I like the sounds a lot overall, Yamane's is talented as ever ! Although, on the Japanese video, you can see a clipping on the door at ~1:55 since Miram can't get through. Also, if you look closely at plusplus screen, you can see white blocks on Miriam's face. Basically, I'm not totally satisfied with her face yet. In my opinion, colors aren't perfectly matching yet (a matter of tone I think). It looks a bit pixelised... well, it can be improved a lot but I'm not judging because it's basically a demo and we still have ONE YEAR to go on devlopment and what we can see now could be far away of what we could have soon. Very likely to be video compression artifacts, there is always a lot of complains about how they compress videos for the sake to reduce size, for that kind of graphical analysis we would need to test the demo ourselves. Same goes for the color, it changes a lot with vide compression on these websites, it is impossible to do such an analysis from youtube videos, it would require to take direct screenshots from the game running and using a decent image file format.

I believe this element was switched to other similar like her scarf and the petal particles effect, i do not see a need for anything else, it may look weird if we force these things, i vote for how is it right now.

Well, mine is just some silly toughts while one day i needed to create a nick on some mmorpg and every nick i tried was already in use by someone else. I tried something together with "neko" then something with "kuro" still no success after several minutes i just tried this silly idea to mix the words "kuro"+"neko", that's why nekuro, i have no clue if it actually means something in japanese or anything, even so there was some times even this nickname was already in use then i decided to add "rs" at the end, which refers to the name of the regional state i live (Rio Grande do Sul, or RS), pretty silly.

Interesting. I like it. Follow-up to demo footage: What is the giant thing that attacks the ship and breaks the ship open to the outside? It looks out of place with the rest of the stage. Hyper-colorful. I believe it will be the boss of the area? Indeed i found it too colorful compared to anything else on the area. EDIT: oh damn! now i see what this thing is, have seen the picture.

So the shoe thing confirms full customization with items? Man. It's gonna even top SOTN for me... If only it werre about dracula Inti are pretty damn good with animation. Perfect combo for this game. EDIT: The only thing I wish for is a bit more impactful sound effects. I loved the wicked fire sound effects of SOTN. I believe it won't let FULL customization with items, since Miriam is a girl it is possible shoes will be the only piece customizable with itens (just like the cape was on Alucard), but who knows. About the sound effects i would say the same, they are ok but dying creatures on SOTN has that "wicked" sounds, some of them doesn't exactly have a logic but felt great to hear. I want to play the demo before get to conclusions.

15th would make sense as that is the day when we'll get the stream with Iga, Ben, Romscout. That's exactly why i tought of june 15th, i still believe it is the most likely day, but who knows let's wait and see, it doesn't change the fact we will see Miriam in action on june 13th during the presentation, or is what i believe, someone will play it there live fight enemies and show us all or most of her moves available so far and the battle mechanics.

So there was a new interview with Elon Musk a few days ago and he revealed a basic roadmap to their ultimate goal to colonize Mars, for anyone interested in space exploration already knows SpaceX is the most sucessful private company out there and it was created for the ultimate goal to help humanity to become a multiplanetary species, at first glance it looks like just a dream one could say, but so far they are super successful sending sattelites to Earth's orbit, sending cargo to ISS under a billionaire contract with NASA and will test their new rocket late this year that will be the most powerful rocket in the world until the NASA's SLS is ready.
Musk said he plans to send missions to Mars every launch window (every 26 months) starting in 2018 using the new Falcon Heavy rocket (first flight this year), so he will create a "cargo route" to Mars that will be reliable every 26 months so people could send experiments to Mars. That means SpaceX will start sending regular missions to Mars in 2018, 2020, 2022, 2024, 2027, so on.
About the first manned mission he said he hope to test the rocket capable of that feat on 2022 (the rocket design will be revealed september this year), so it is possible to launch the first humans to Mars soon as late 2024, getting there on 2025, of course only if everything goes as planned. I guess we can expect delays, the point is independent of delays Musk funded SpaceX for the ultimate purpose of colonize Mars and they are maintaining the goal so far, they are pretty serious about it and they will do it, the question is when.

For E3 there are "only for the press" days and then there are days where people can come in to actually play the games (later in the week). I have no idea why people expect to be able to play the demo before it gets shown off on the 15th (see the first post where this is mentioned). Nobody is going to turn into a world premiere on a stream if they can already try the product out for themselves. Earliest I expect Steam demo codes to go out would be late in the evening on the 15th or the next day. Stop counting down the hours, we still have a few days to go people Actually that was my first impression too. Demo on june 15th, but there are not any confirmation about that so i am not so sure, and even if it is not given in june 13th they will show more of the demo anyway so there is a reason to countdown.

I do not want too much spoiler either, however it seems pretty hard not to show things on a KS project, not to mention there is no way to avoid spoilers from the beta, they can be minimized though. I do not believe the updates will show that much, the problem here would be the beta, people would need to just not read/watch/play it, there is not much more to do besides that. So far i did not see it revealing that much, let's see the demo (i suppose it would be quite short) and the next updates.

I am glad i bought a new PC last year, well things are incredibly expensive here (Brazil), specially with the dollar going up to the roof last year and the current economic crisis, so the best i could do was get a FX-6300 and a R7 260X. unfortunately i have only 4GB RAM, but i can upgrade it and i might will, anyway i can play GTA V, Fallout 4 or anything i have tested so far pretty fine. I hope they just don't downgrade it to make it playable for more systems, however it would be great if it runs on cheap intel on-board gpus even if at 30 fps on the lowest settings so more people can play it.
Anyway let's wait for the demo so we will get the first references for the system requirements.

Kitti_W If i remember correctly during SOTN the development team was actually pretty small from what i have heard of, i am not sure about the budget though (since it was a side project i believe it was not that much) and i guess they took like 3 or so years to develop it. However that was a sprite-based game on a time we didn't have any professional tool that gives us the productivity that we have now, also if we were to make a full sprite-based game on 1080p it would be much more time consuming for sure, since Bloodstained has 3D models and scenarios and we are using state-of-art engine Unreal Engine 4 that are made exactly to increase productivity as well as quality things are easier, also i am pretty sure we have a bigger team now compared to SOTN. All these things together make it possible to create a great game in that timeframe, though i won't mind delays if it is to make the game better, also it seems many extra content will be released as updates so we have enough time for the core game to be ready in 1 year and 9 months (let's say 2 years since we know Bloodstained started being developed in secret before the kickstarter campaing). Anyway i believe we have all we need to make a great game from budget, staff, time, software and passion. The timeframe is pretty hard to be set, March 2017 was just a guess based on some basic information, i just hope they are not affraid to say it may be delayed if it comes to that (the development is going great though) the thing is that it should be released only when it is ready. Finally i am pretty optimistic, well much more now that we have seen the video and getting a demo in a matter of days, and don't forget the most important detail here: we have Iga and he is a legend.

I keep wondering if the demo will include the map, inventory and the save room, i mean if it is short they could decide just to not include these features due to unfinished details.
What about the map connection, will the ship map be connected to the map which leads to the castle or will it be a completely different area? I am not against disconnected areas however i would surely like it more if everything is connected, i mean the time the ship get to the land it could open a continuous area to the castle instead of a sudden transition so you can go back and forth to explore freely.
