That doesn’t sound too time consuming, she uses that pose a lot too, so it comes up often.

Maybe the whip can use a second strike, instead of just the one(as in if I were mashing the attack button, Miriam swings one way, then another, then back to the first, like a combo.)

Ah...I wouldn't use them personally, but so long as it isn't the alucard shield rod combo or crissigrim I think it would be ok. Those were a whole 'nother level of busted...

I was wondering about the musicless village when the thought occurred to me: there are supposed to be other villagers miriam meets, right? They can't all fit in the building forever. Wouldn't it make sense that, during the course of events or quest completion, the village starts to get restored, complete with its own village music? That would be my reasoning for having no music at the outset, at least.

i saw the line as she was letting miriam know she had started on clearing a couple areas for their use, not necessarily in response to that particular morte Only problem is we never see this action, not yet anyway.

Her mouth flaps due to it being the same model as her in game appearance. this means that her lip movements, unlike others, are over exaggerated for her loud 'hero of time' yells. When the game tries to utilize these limited facial mechanics for conversation, it ends up using the attack yells face. Hence Miriams gaping maw talk. They should totally change that up, given her personality. I switched to Japanese and started over shortly after leaving the first room, because I wasn't impressed with the English acting, and Miriam's combat voice was unpleasantly loud and forced sounding. The scream when she absorbs a shard for the first time was painful to listen to, and doesn't match the animation. I felt that her acting in dialogue wasn't bad, and the voice sounded reasonably appropriate, but the emotional range was too narrow, and the characters didn't translate well. The English dialogue was clunky; it was neither accurate enough to the Japanese to be considered a translation, nor was it good enough to stand on its own. I didn't have a good feel for the characters, their motivations, or their relationships until I switched to Japanese and watched the introduction again. Then it all made sense. Miriam's Japanese VA expressed a range of emotions throughout the few cutscenes in the demo, and it gave her a well-rounded personality. I'll have to play the demo again in English to comment on the characters' performances outside of Miriam and Johannes' initial dialogue, but in that scene, they both felt pretty flat in English. Not bad choices, necessarily, but a poor English script and poor direction. As for the Japanese, I thought Miriam sounded a bit too breathy in that initial cutscene, but was fine later. Overall, I'm happy with her performance, particularly in combat, and for shard absorption. She manages to make it sound painful, but that she's able to tough it out and regain control. I actually thought Johannes sounds too young in Japanese for his model, but it may be that the model looks too old. Same with Anne. She sounds like a small child, but looks like a short, horribly disfigured adult. She's too tall for how she sounds. I didn't have any particular notes on the other characters, in either language. Ugh, the pitfalls of localization....Now I'm really interested in what the japanese language version is saying. Too bad I don't know Japanese.

It is because Miriam has the LoZ(Legend of Zelda) syndrome of yelling for every attack, so her facial animations are more pronounced to match. Ahh, that makes sense! Maybe they can afford to do a bit more variance for Miriam, seeing as how she is doing double duty as a playable character.

I'm thinking perhaps said drops and their rates will be changed in the game proper, but I am glad they can drop multiple things.

I LOVE the special attacks, especially the shoe one since it "bounces" off of what it hits, giving it much more usage. I also like the cutscenes in between the dialog and hope there are more of them. Makes me wonder what a storyboarded cutscene would look like, though, since talk and action are done separate. Miriam changing poses at the pause screen is the BEST! I hope they add to that or give her poses depending on her status.

I agree that a cosmetic slot of option should be available, if it isn't the game already(I have no idea what the photography booth does.)

I can see food doing both a temp and permanent raise in stats. I thought it was wierd seeing it have no other action after the first time. You don't get more consumable than food!

Ok, I get where they were going with Miriam’s shard absorption. I was wondering if others had any suggestions on making the shot better.
The reason I ask this is because there are some suggestions that the shot doesn’t exactly look right. And I can see where they are coming from, the transition from “I AM STABBED NOWS” to “I AM FINE NOWS” is instantaneous, and it is hard to see them flow into each other. A smoother transition, or a different pose at the end, may help.

It would be interesting if anne ended up replacing Johannes when the sudden but inevitable betrayal occurs.
Some things to point out:
-Johannes has intricate knowledge of the spell that put Miriam under, that caused the Alchemists to rain check her participation in the ritual. She also remarks Gebel saved her. Which leads me to two guesses.
Either Gebel put her to sleep, or Johannes.

Yeah, the cat picture was a request from someone to put it in the game so in the game it goes.
Besides, who is to say the legions of hell don't have felines of note in their ranks?

I think might be related to bugs where miriam moves backward and attacks without a reaction to being hit, i think you are right that it might be timing.

Zangetsu and his nice boat is a given. Alfred, maybe, for those “bad end” feels.
Dominique might be nice, but i’m not sure how she would get her on story, unless Miriam were to just, “lol, no” at Gebel’s dare.

I try again, mainly by taking the word “again” and smahing it against the crate, hoping the force of I|p3jmtL1-100tons shall be enough to move it.1-100
