Hey thanks for the update. People on Kickstarter are being ridiculous with the talk about lawsuits.  Anyway, I have two questions: 1. Apparently it will only release on the 21st of June in my country. Will I still receive a temporary steam key on the 18th? 2. Will the savegames from those temporary steam keys carry over into the permanent game once it has been shipped and activated? Question Angel-Corlux I have been told that the answer both of those questions is 'yes'. That's great news! Thank you very much for responding  |

How long before the Kickstarter commenters start threatening a class action suit because FedEx took a day longer to deliver than expected? Hey there, I'm not angry about this at all. Organizing a world wide shipping operation is super difficult for sure so it's very understandable. Just wanted to know if I could play it on day one because I'm really excited to get my hands on this game So no splitting hairs, no meltdown from me ^^

Question, are you a dev? So you can't possibly know if they were having major issues that led to the cancellation of the linux/mac versions. I'm a linux developer with some UE4 experience. The two demos they released on Windows ran absolutely fine on with WINE doing (the equivalent of) Windows emulation, which means they could easily have been built natively, had anyone at 505 wanted to bother to do so.
It's pretty simple: Wine is middleware that takes calls made from Windows-native code, and maps them to equivalent Linux-native code. Since that works, then it's a simple matter of taking those Linux-native modules, and linking it to the Windows-native code directly instead, resulting in a Linux binary.
Furthermore, UE4 is a cross-platform game engine, and the vast majority of the code and plug-ins are made so they can be built for more than one platform.
Do you really think that if they had any legitimate bug like that, they wouldn't have shut me up by now by being more specific?
Publishers aren't going to go into detail to customers and by the way 505 are the publisher not the developer. If you worked for the dev team, maybe you could have foumd the issue that they were having. Since you don't you have no clue what problems they came across that led to the cancellation. I also wouldn't base a argument using demos as that Doesn't include all the code which you should obviously know. Day 1 there will be some coding differences after the obligatory day one patch that fixes some bugs they found that they could fix. I also would suggest that maybe try to get a job for a dev team if you have some experience. |

So I'm still going with my theory that Anne Knolles is gonna be Marie Renard 2.0, would be hilarious teaming her up with brooding Zangetsu and have her be all plucky and cheerful. I'm curious how they plan on selling the steelbooks, I know it will be after the game's release, maybe through Fangamer? I'm also super stoked about getting the PS4 theme I saw a demo of it on YouTube and I will definitely be using it. Wonders if the Retro levels will reuse CotM graphics or (I'm hoping) be completely new?  |

Forgive me if it came across as I was saying you were having a meltdown. No. I was just realizing that your polite post was a small sign of the shitstorm to come from... less polite individuals when their shipments arrive a few days late and I’m not looking forward to that. You're 100% right that worldwide shipping is a pain to pull off but sadly I don’t think many will have the patience or the understanding when their game inevitably doesn’t arrive on June 18. I for one won’t even bother asking what’s going on before day 5. If it hasn’t arrived after that then I may begin to get worried but not a second before that. |

hiroI maybe misunderstanding you but... You do know that the theme is exclusive to PS4 right? Sony put it together as an exclusive to their console you can't just get it for PC or Xbox or Switch. Sony does this wilth lots of their digital version of games.

So I guess I have to address the elephant in the room: David Hayter's no longer doing Snake-voice for Zangetsu  Also, although I don't condone the hostility underlying most of the comments, I too am curious about exactly why the Mac/Linux ports were canceled. I was a little pissed when the Vita port was canceled, but whatever, I was offered a refund and although I'm sure they could have still gone ahead with the game I kind of understand why it was canceled... still wonder if they even started it, but whatever. It just seems like, wherever you stand on this, that the devs could have been a little more transparent with these cancellations. If there was some legitimate technical hurdle that couldn't be overcome, why not just tell us what it was? There are plenty of community members that understand the technicalities of video game development. I hope that in the end 505 manages to do right by the Linux/Mac backers, in some way, and that we all get to enjoy and celebrate this game together  |

If you want to run the game on Wine or Milkshakes, it's up to you dude. Just stop calling people theives and keep victimizing yourself literally admitted in the previous KS update that he's pirated software himself. That makes him a thief. Unless you, a moderator, are saying that piracy ISN'T theft, or he'd like to bother to show up to defend himself, I don't see how you can claim otherwise. I think he's very foolish to suggest, given the things that he's done to backers, that pirating a game because you disagree with how a company has treated you is okay. A - a refund or B - proof they ever actually tried to make a linux port You think you're being funny, but that's actually not a bad idea. It's easy enough to build the various UE4 engines, so maybe I will see if I can just build native versions for other platforms. I'm sure, given their colossal failure at supporting over half of the platforms they initially promised, that they'd welcome the help, right?  KS is a contract, the rules are plain as day on their site, and I've already been over this with other people. They're lying about having a bug, and I'll be more than happy to prove it in a few weeks when the game is released. This will be the last reply/attention I give to you, because you have proven to me that you have been going in circles for a long time now. 1 - Angel pirating a game has nothing to do with 505 "scamming" or "stealing" stuff from you, it's true that pirating a game is theift. But I hope you're not here to call him a theif only because he pirated a game? since you're carrying it outside of the Bloodstained discussion and directing towards the person, this worth a warning to not insult anyone in general or judge them. One last thing about theift, how did you get the game files since Linux never received a beta code before to begin with? were you a Steam backer who decided to test it on wine? pirated it? if not, then you're more than welcome to prove that to me in DMs because I would like to stop this discussion right here and now 2 - If you are going to prove anything, take out of this form you kinda got spammy as of recently |

Can’t wait for this game to come out so we can put all of this behind us and start talking about the actual game for a change. BY THE WAY! Have they announced that Bloodstained has gone gold? I’m assuming it has because we’re only 18 days from launch and they were already talking about a recent bug having to be patched later. Just asking if that but if good news was broadcasted somewhere and I may have missed it. |

ovenkitty Honestly he never was, there was always a subtle difference to his Zangetsu voice, I wouldn't complain though if Solid Snake crept up somewhere though, am sure it will be in one of his voice samples from the backers if nothing else

It was confirmed on the 505 interviews Angel Corlux did with the English voice actors. That kind of stuff was actually some of the best things they did when it comes to their involvement with Bloodstained. |

ovenkittyAlot of the resentment and anger that you see boiling over now and in the past is part of why companies can't be more transparent at times, there's always people that feel like they have the answers but don't know anything/enough about the business, someone can throw out accusations all they want and at the end of the day that's all it is a presumption, but when a company says this is why we did this then thousands of people that don't know anything about making video games tear apart there reasonings and tell them what they should have done instead, and when they are ignored because they are presumptuous enough to tell others how to run their own affairs they threaten to review bomb the game when it comes out (another thing I've seen suggested multiple times on the Kickstarter comments section over the past week.) That's part of the reason.

Gebel... Sorry, Shantae can't be a cameo and playable character in Bloodstained. Some people like this would likely prefer Gebel over Shovel Armor as 3rd playable character... We don't need either Alucard, Simon Belmont, Shanoa, Soma Cruz and/or Charlotte from Castlevania to be 3rd playable character. |

Been away awhile, busy busy with remodeling my home and helping a friend that's expecting to remodel his, but following as much info as I can in regards to this launch coming up. Really good info, kinda sucks about those steel books/cases, but everything will still be worth it. While I am slightly biased against backer content becoming available, even at an extra cost, to non-backers, I'm also very happy that all players will be able to access such content, as there are so many fans of IGA that may not have been able to donate/back the project, but have their hearts set on supporting it by any means ( Pure Miriam being one). That all rambled, this is looking pretty promising, so far and has done much to alleviate fears for many, as well. Truly looking forward to this and can't wait to receive the extra goodies for my tier. Quick question on the Alchemist's Curse shirt, are those timed exclusive or will they be available for awhile? I may have missed the information on that one and wanted to verify, as I plan on trying to obtain a few when I am next able to spend money on something other than housing materials. Army of the Night ftw. |
