Kickstarter Update #85 - Release approaches / New Playable

We have arranged for all PS4 backers (Digital and Physical) to get the theme. 

Steam will be standard Steam DRM. GOG will be DRM-Free. 

Best idea, I asked my boss to give me 1 day off on Wed-19th and the day after I have a regulary day off too.. so it should work out for one ending.. proly.

I think I can answer your #3 for you:

With the game so close to release its since been weeks (months?) since the game went gold and started being manufactured and I'd bet you anything the same is true for the copies made for Japan. The reason for the delay is more distributor and red-tape related. Just because the game is getting delayed in Japan for a few weeks doesnt mean they're producing a new gold master just for that region. Yes it'd be neat but it aint happening. I dont have any insider information but I can almost assure you this is the case.

Japan's 1.00 Bloodstained copy thats being burned into Bluray discs and Switch carts is the same exact 1.00 version we're getting everywhere else. Let's face the facts that the days when games were sold as is and were forever in that state is long gone. It also means they can keep adding new stuff and fixing problems unlike SotN which we're still riddled with the samebugs in 2019 as we were in 1997.

Its just the reality of the times. If you want a copy of the game with the patches you can burn a disc with the DRM-free version of Bloodstained from GOG.

I won't make any singing counters to this update. In any case, I am hopeless to see the system disengaged so. I believe everyone acknowledges the game, etc, yet I can't deal with this association any more.
