I do wonder how convenient/easy it will be to switch to another method of attack quickly to use not-ammo during standard gameplay when you just want to hit a candle or test a wall. She will need an attack that doesn't have a cost associated with it for just exploring. It would be pretty annoying if you had to even hot swap your equip set just to do that. Well I'm pretty sure this update also confirms B will be used for a second weapon OoE and SotN style, why else would using two handed weapons matter? They even used bold text.

Sorry this is a bit of a ramble. Cartoons seem to deal with with darker themes in a more lighthearted way and I prefer that. They're also not limited by an over arching story. I also hate how padded and badly animated a lot of anime seems to be. Obviously I'm no animator but it seems to me like every singe trope anime has is designed to cut costs and it's really jarring when you start noticing it. Also a continuous story isn't really something i personally care that much about. (I get that is the biggest draw for anime fans) I've never been able to re-watch any anime ever, yet I've watched Rick and Morty at least 3 different times. I really like clever humor and surrealism yet as far as I know anime doesn't tackle much of that. Anime doesn't really do much for me because it seems like the focus is all on the story. Yet to me story is only one little thing that can make a show great. For example the biggest draw for a show like Superjail is super complex animation. Xavier Renegade angel has the best wordplay I've ever seen. I could go on for way longer but I don't really feel like putting much effor on a thread nobody will read. Obviously I like a lot of stuff with anime influence but I just can't find any anime that I can get past like the first two episodes. If you have any suggestions I will be glad to check them out. I understand, I do see the "cheap" animations more and more in anime... though they don't bother me too much. What has bothered me is that anime is extremely formulaic... the same thing in different packaging. though some of those stories could be fun too. I know you said you can't really get past the first two episodes of an anime, though most anime go on a "Shakespearean" route when starting their shows (at least in my opinion)... it takes 1-3 (or more) episodes to introduce their characters and set up the plot... but I kinda like that about anime. I don't know there are some strange obscure anime out there, you just need to look for them. Though I, on the other hand, like the story driven arcs in anime and am pleased to see them in many of the newer cartoons (and some older ones). Funny thing is I don't like those cartoons you've mentioned but many of my friends swear by them.... so there must be something about them, I won't disregard them just cause I don't like them. My real problem is there are "adult themed" cartoons and cartoons aimed toward kids but nothing like in anime where there are cartoons aimed specifically aimed toward teens... I feel many teens (13-18) seek anime to fill that void... or at least that is my personal thought on it. Anyways, I like both anime and cartoons as I have said, and it is true that many anime tropes have been making their way into our cartoons... cross culture exchanges are what makes both anime and cartoons awesome. Oh, and no there are no anime I can really suggest... I feel you would have seen them already (as in samurai champloo, cowboy bebop and maybe heat guy j they're all older anime though). I totally see what you mean. What we're dealing with here is just a matter of preference. I'm glad we live in a world where both are being made and the influence goes both ways. The one thing I do have a problem with is that you keep using words like "adult", "kid" and "teen" which i think is what leads to misunderstandings and wider audiences still thinking both anime and cartoons are for kids. If tone is what you're referring to then I agree completely. The Simpsons, Rick and Morty, Invader Zim and many more deal with dark themes just like anime but the difference is that they're comedy shows. That's why I said earlier the only difference I can find is that cartoons are often comedy and anime is often serious. Nothing to do with age.

"I used to a few years back" was going to be my response to you before the "dayum son u got rekt" comments. And to answer your question, yes, I do watch cartoons quite often. cool, so why did you cut back on anime? Sorry this is a bit of a ramble. Cartoons seem to deal with with darker themes in a more lighthearted way and I prefer that. They're also not limited by an over arching story. Xavier Renegade angel has the best wordplay I've ever seen. Invader Zim's voice acting and writing is so good I can just listen to it at work with my headphones and still enjoy it. None of those shows have a story as a main focus and they still work beautifully. I could go on for way longer but I don't really feel like putting much effor on a thread nobody will read. Obviously I like a lot of stuff with anime influence but I just can't find any anime that I can get past like the first two episodes. If you have any suggestions I will be glad to check them out.

When did you say those things? Are you kidding me? When you say "he's got you there" the fact that you agree is implied. I can't believe I'm having to explain this. but I never said you didn't watch anime... "I used to a few years back" was going to be my response to you before the "dayum son u got rekt" comments. What the fuck are you talking about? When did I say I don't watch Anime? I said I personally don't like it. I used to watch anime religiously. This is the kind of "gotcha!" Mentality that makes these kinds of threads so toxic. Pfft. Did I ever say those things? You assumed that all on your own. My mentality and toxic? You're the one cursing. When did you say those things? Are you kidding me? When you say "he's got you there" the fact that you agree is implied. I can't believe I'm having to explain this.

@jeffcross
The lines between Anime and Cartoons are being blurred as we speak. I personally don't like Anime all that much. But the only difference I can spot is that cartoons seem to focus a lot more on humor. All other differences you listed are frankly outdated and kind of pointless since there are so many exceptions.

Well I dont know what to tell you. The game just doesn't seem to be going the gothic direction. Im sure we both agree on that. The game can have silly enemies without destroying the tone.... then how come youre anti BKappa?
So we pretty much agree. Enemy jokes are cool. We seem to agree on most points. Where do we disagree here? You pretty much just said context matters... which is also what I said.... Thus BKappa3 being in the game is ok.
So that means youre ok with body horror on demons just not anachronistic mechanical stuff... got it... at least youre consistent on that... Never mind.
Again, nobody on this thread wants him as a boss. We agree on that as well.

Just because previous games had stuff like that doesn't mean they're good additions. Skeletons on motorcycles are stupid imo. An electric guitar is ridiculous. However, the electric guitar feels like a joke weapon which makes it okay, just like skeleton maids and silly things. Those are cool additions usually because it's lighthearted. A boss with a gattling gun arm isn't light hearted it's a clear design choice for a boss. So to me it's a no no when you could be doing something much more gothic and in theme of the game. We all agreed BK3 being a boss would be pretty lame. Castevana stopped being "gothic" long ago. And i personally prefer it that way. Theres only so much you can do with bats and skeletons. Heres an example... Remember that really awesome enemy from PoR called Coppelia. She would spawn by being blasted out of a cannon and land into a tightrope. She would throw knives at you and her death animation would be her exploding into confetti. That shit was so awesome! It was't gothic at all! And it gave the designers of the game more room to try different things. Heres another one... Skeleton Farmer would throw seeds at you and when they hit the ground Unes or Mandragoras would spawn. Is a skeleton farmer gothic? I dont think so... A guy with a gattling gun arm would be pretty silly indeed but... 1. We all would know it for the joke that it is. The context matters alot. Having both Iga and Shovel Knight in game would usually be stupid too, but the context makes their inclusion alot better. 2. Its not just a guy with a gattling gun arm, he also has a Kappa as a tail. It crosses the line whrere its oviously a joke. 3. Already Bloodstained isn't taking its enemy design as seriously as you would like, Gremori has a crotch camel. Gun arms are nothing in comparison to crotch camels.

2.Castlevanias in the past had things like Electric Guitars as weapons, Hamurgers, Juste had a radio, White Rabbit from Alice In Wonderland, motorcycle skeletons, etc. Wow, thanks for the reminders! I did some research and here's what I think: Didn't know about the Guitar-Weapon in Curse of Darkness. Must be pretty hard to get or rare? 'Cause I've played that game a lot and never saw this weapon. Well, the game had some silly weapons, especially in the special-category. I think this is okay as long as you usually won't notice it in a non-completionist-playthrough. I'd say it falls into the easter egg category. The hamburgers and radio I think are just bad, honestly. They could easily have been replaced by something similar yet more fitting, are not particularily funny or interesting and are likely to be discovered. In the case of the radio you even have to discover it for the best ending. This is exactly the way I wouldn't want Bismarck Kappa the 3rd to be implemented. It's just a pretty lame unneccessary way to break suspension of disbelieve. If you're refering to Chronomagus in AoS I don't think that this qualifies as an anachronism since the game plays in the future and Alice in Wonderland will have been written (obviously). I think it's okay for the game to make this reference as the Igavanias reference fictional creatures all the time anyway. As for the motorcycle skeletons: They suck (imo) but they don't count because they're not even in an Igavania. I didn't expect you to actually bother trying to justify all those dude. I was just listing off stuff at random. In my opinion, if they wanted to make every single enemy outrageously bizzare and even anachronistic I would be all for it. There are so many games that take themselves so damn seriously. Compare the enemies from something like Bayonetta to something like Skyrim. Of course this is all just my opinion but I'm still salty over bloodstained fans picking generic ass knight familiar over the ridiculous unusual imp familiar. I understand different doesn't mean good. But I will take that bizzare camel penis guy and that retarded looking snake hand guy from the concept art of bloodstained to generic boring werewolves and goblins from the first Lords of Shadow. But I don't want to derail the conversation so....

AHHH! Too many things to respond to. Don't really feel like writting a wall of text.
1. We all agree Bk3 as a joke enemy would be cool and funny. We all would prefer a cool boss instead of a five second sketch. 2.Castlevanias in the past had things like Electric Guitars as weapons, Hamurgers, Juste had a radio, White Rabbit from Alice In Wonderland, motorcycle skeletons, etc. 3. In a universe where magic exists time travel isnt unlikely. Even the belmonts could manipulate time.
