Hey all, I have some news pertaining to streaming and such. So after this week, I will be returning home from school for summer and basically working. My home is basically a dead spot in a country where streaming is on the same level as burning a witch because of some dumb reason. So this does mean I am taking a summer hiatus from streaming (because I have been streaming so many times the past month..../sarcasm) and will return in the Fall. Now, this does not mean I am also gone from playing games or talking on the board, nope. I'll be on here a bit more since I don't have do deal with school. Now about games. Depending on what summer job I get (still talking with people), I will be still recording and uploading videos on my lets play channel www.youtube.com/channel/UCt90bndw9Vn3QOeK8lClvkQ Luckachu Gaming. Sadly, after our last recording session on campus, Impikachu and I won't be able to record until after the summer, so most likely it will be individual projects for the summer. I send my thanks to everyone who has watched me and making this little side hobby feel amazing.

Anyone else in love with that sword swing animation? Omg such grace <3
Other than that, game looks to be going smoothly so far. Loving all the other animations. I do question the kick though. Not sure why its there, but I mean the animation looks great!

LuckPercentSRL : I'm not usually one to indulge in waifu nonsense but I gotta say, over time, I think my opinion of Charlotte has only increased over time. I certainly think highly of Shanoa but I think overall Charlotte was a more balanced character. I was a pretty big non-fan of some of the "childish humor" surrounding her character (though I think a lot of that was a function of the artstyle used in PoR specifically since she looks fine in other official art/fan art) but I found her sassy, uber-nerd personality appealing and she could really hang out and throw down with the best of them. She also had a good, simple, effective design. Similar to how Miriam is a clear Shanoa-expy, I would love to see a Charlotte expy (a nerdy but combat effective witch/mage though with maybe a more mature design) in Bloodstained (or future games in the series) as well. I'm feeling an artsy mood coming on so I think I'm going to look for some fan-art and post it over in the Castlevania Art thread <3 I agree. (also nice post in the art thread. I agree 100% on the pictures ^^) What would I love about Charlotte more is if she was in another game, or in a second Harmony of Despair and she was more vamped to have different playstyles. Like how in HD you can have heal and just be a healer with like some skills around, but mostly you'd be a healer. I would like to see more of the buffing spells she gets in Portrait of Ruin or possible some really cool support spells to be an overall better character to play. And she could have more of an offensive or even like a glass cannon sort of spells to make her really strong when maxed out. That'd be something. (probs if you want to talk more on this, just PM me so we don't derail the topic) I'd like to consider her a waifu of mine, but I have a better one in mind. Even still, I think that Charlotte has brought me closer to the series just because of her honestly.

(Boy I am late to this thread ) (Also edit, I 'm not sure if I can shrink this image...looks a little too bit) Ahh Castlevania. The game I would bring up every day when talking to my Xbox Live friends. I was the Castlevania freak back on Brawl in the Family Forums and even wanted to do my own RP on it. That sadly never came to be but oh well. I remember the days I was introduced to the series as a whole, and actually became a fan of the series much later. I played Castlevania 1 on the NES at some point in my life. After that, I experienced it mostly through emulation on a computer. I thought the game wasn't fun because it was balls hard and I could never get past Medusa. I never branched to the other games but I knew that SOTN and Super CV4 were some pretty good games. I thought that Aria of Sorrow looked terrible as a game (lol I didn't know shit back then XD) and that it didn't have Simon Belmont, the only character I knew in Castlevania games. So the series was there, I knew about it, but never really got into it. Meanwhile on my Xbox 360, I notice the summer of arcade coming on a year that I forgot and am too lazy to do a quick google search on. In that summer of arcade, I saw Harmony of Despair, a six player castlevania game. I was like, woah, is this for real? I had mixed feelings because I wanted to try it out and buy it, but I didn't know if I could convince my friends to get it, nor if I would know if I would like it. So I put it off for a year. Man was that a bad idea. I decided to get it a year later without the approval of my friends. I found out there was an online mode and I thought it would be a neat buy for a week of enjoyment. Oh boy did that week turn into a year of enjoyment.... I didn't get the DLC until like later so I settled on Jonathan Morris, the "Not Simon Belmont" character only because he had the vampire killer. The game took me for a ride as I completed the first two chapters, then went online to meet 2 pretty cool dudes who basically guided me through the first six chapters. I had a blast even though how much I sucked and how little I knew about this series. I wanted more, thankfully there were more games. With the power of Gamefly (my parents got this for my siblings and I) I ordered the game Jonathan was from, Portrait of Ruin. PoR was basically my first real Metroidvania game of the CV series. I absolutely loved it. Also where I met my most favorite character: Charlotte Aulin. After PoR I looked to the other DSvania games like Order of Ecclesia and Dawn of Sorrow as well as getting SOTN on my Xbox. Then I went back to the Advancevanias like Aria (changed my mind about this game. Very good), CotM (never beat it :c ). Finally, I went back in emulation to beat CV 1, play 3, and beat 4. I don't have any history on the Playstation games, any of the LoS games besides Mirror of Fate (which was alright) and some of the other honorable mentions like Rondo or Chronicles. But honestly, Castlevania brouh some of the most fun I had with video games in my high school times. It even brought me to do my first ever speed run in SOTN which also kinda got me on the loop to do Axiom. So, again for like the 18th time, Thanks IGA for all the fun times I had with this series. Looking forward to Bloodstained.

Thought I come back to this thread and give my impressions on Conquest. Won't do any spoilers though!
STORY. Definitely the weakest part of the game. There wasn't much build up with the avatar character and at times I just felt annoyed about some of the things that happened that you wish you could have just taken control and did things your own way. But I see the game has to have a story to follow so I get that. Also I expected a bit of like Conquest to be like an evil growth on the avatar like how Birthright is about growth in the light, but it really isn't. It's more of the avatar following orders up until he gets his own little objective done and then is like "Yeah here's the truth." and becomes all goody guy. I'll admit the final chapters were hard to play since you do eventually have to fight your other side siblings. I wasn't caring much for some of them, but as you progress, there's some like ouch moment. Then again it brings up the whole take control and do things your own way again which doesn't happen until like the last 3 chapters.
CHARACTERS. Really good build on support conversations, children conversations, and overall implemented in the story. Better than Awakening where side characters you meet appear in a chapter, say what they say, and then go silent for the rest of the game basically. Side characters that aren't the royals get a bit better role in the story. The children in this game are a bit better than the other children in Awakening (Except Morgan. She was the best), but honestly the whole "deeprealms" explanation is bs anyways. They just shoe-horrned that in to get the children up to speed. Probably would have been better if there was some sort of like a couple year gap in the game where characters were able to mate and stuff. Awakening got away with it because they were children from the future to save said future by going to the past with Lucina.
GAMEPLAY. So without playing either Birthright or Revelation, how does Conquest fare with the Fates engine? I say it's pretty neat. Conquest isn't easy and it will remind you of that with the limited options for grinding and gathering money (unless you grab the DLCs). Nothing seems unfair (unless you play Lunatic..) and the improved weapon triangle works really well. All classes are pretty balanced so magic users aren't broken as hell anymore (lol). The only class I still have trouble with is the axe wielders because of their low hit%. I know the mechanic is changed where you can actually hit someone with like a 4% and actually miss a 90%. It's just that I'm not a super huge risk taker so the class isn't that great for me. Though I'll admit, once you know who are your tanks and powerhouses, it kinda gets a little easy if you use them all the time. But then again, the game can throw a curve ball and just let someone get a crit and ruin your day.
EFFECTS. Beautiful. I loved the cutscenes, the music (omg the music is fantastic), the transitions, the voice acting, critical animations (the Sorc Crit where the character levitates into the air is pretty boss), and the whole atmosphere of the game.
With that I can't say its perfect. Its totally better than Awakening in terms of balance and gameplay. Maybe a bit in the story department (just story overall. Awakening had like 40 plot holes jebus rolenzo). I can't wait to play through Hoshido and make my life miserable to kill the characters I grown with in Conquest and then have them all together in Revelation.

Aw man I'm late to the party >_> Thanks Galamoth for the tag. (Need to come back to the boards, I'm falling asleep on these boards) But yeah, as much as I love movement options (obvious speed freak is obvious), the castle design comes first imo. I try to speedrun a game where the design is not emphasized first.

Props to Nintendo for the difficulty on Conquest. Chapter 10 is balls hard if you are missing some members (like I am). Game's story is fantastic so far. Really felt emotional with some of the events leading to the branch of fate. The overall structure of the game's mechanics are really good, a bit better than Awakening. I also like that they added some new features and old features from the GBA games.
Anyone had any time to play it at all?

Getting Conquest Nohr. I love the idea from being the awesome power of the kingdom and being an iron fist. Pretty big FE fan. Though I started with Shadow Dragon and Awakening, I went back and played the original on the GBA (the american original one...). So it's safe to say I'm very excited for Fates. Really loved Awakening and can't wait to get more action

While the DSS or DDS (whatever they were) cards were pretty unique in Circle of the Moon, it slowed down the game's pace a lot due to turning on and off cards or going into the menu to swap cards. And half of the time, you didn't even get most of the cards unless you grinded enemies for drops. I never knew that you had to kill enemies to get them. I thought that they would be cool items to find in the castle along with the cubes that gave you the special abilities to roam the castle. Then again, the card menu glitch works wonders to play with any card combination you want, but still it slows down the pace by a lot.

Well lets be real here, IGA hasn't really been a huge disappointment with scheduling problems or delays. So its possible that they may come out on the March release.
If he and his team were still in Konami. I mean they have to build a new game up from scratch. Story, mechanics, gameplay, characters, weapons, items, monsters, bosses, etc. Its not like "Oh new Castlevania game, Dracula rises again, lets pick either a returning character or make a new one, then add in other old features from older games while bringing in a new fresh look to the game." It won't be like that at all. Also not saying that that's how the development of Castlevania games went. Its close, but there is more thought to it than what I said.
I have confidence in IGA, but I don't 100% trust him on the release schedule for a newly built game. I'd be more happy with a 2017 release instead of a March of 2017 because they'll have more time to work around everything. Heres hoping to them though. I'm still excited nonetheless. As long as they don't pull at Mighty No. 9 with delays and such.

I like Character 3 and Background 3 the best.
Character 3: Miriam seems to pop out more with this added color on the lines. Making her not hard to see in the game. CH 1 is alright but you might get a tiny bit lazy eyed and forget that she's blending in with the background just a bit.
Background 3: Idk.....To me, it just seems a bit nicer to loook at. Nothing more or less.

Jumping in on the conversation for a quick 2 cents.
Wowzzers. They aren't disappointing me. Not one bit. There's no major change, nor "we like this better/We'll let the fans be the overall final choice for one of our 8 designs on a character (looking at you Might No 9)"
Very happy to see things haven't changed. IGA and his team are going places and I want to follow c:
