I'm enjoying the Switch version. There are several problems with it, and yes, it does affect playability, but I haven't found myself blaming any of my deaths on the input lag or poor performance. So for me, it doesn't keep it from being fun.

Playing physical copy, on version 1.01.
I hit a crash: I had been playing for maybe an hour. I put the Switch in the dock and switched to playing on the TV. I talked with the coachman, and during the conversation, the background did not display properly. I went back to the village and talked to Lindsay for the first time, and again the background displayed wrong. I accepted the first quest from her and crashed.
I also had poor framerate in the village screen with the farmer and the burial woman in handheld mode.

That shard looks kinda OP, but also fun to use. Also, I really love the appear/disappear effect on it! Those particles are a little ostentatious (and maybe don't quite fit the feeling of the spinning blade?) but so pretty!

Here's my feedback: Things I like: - Overall, I like the game a lot. It feels good, very fun to play.
- The variety of enemy loot drops is fun. I enjoy collecting things. It's cool that enemies can drop multiple items at once.
- Soundtrack is really fun!
Good things about visuals specifically:
- I love that red moon room. It's really cool.
- I like Sabnock's and Axe Outsider's death animations. Especially Sabnock.
- The area transition rooms look really cool with all the torches. The lighting looks good there.
- The blood splatters on walls are a nice touch.
- The red banners and purple curtains are nice in the background. They add some color.
- The beams of light shining through windows are very pretty. They could look a bit more natural, though.
- The castle design is beautiful. There's a lot of great detail in the textures, and the layout of the areas in the background and foreground are really good.
- The portraits are really neat. They look good and they really make me wonder about the lore of those people in the game world.
- I really like the corner UI for health and mana!
Things to improve (visuals): - Save room particles don't really sell. I would do more, bigger, brighter, and/or a tighter animation. Something to communicate energy being poured into Miriam.
- Castle entrance intro doesn't sell well. A single boulder falls and breaks into a few pieces. It feels lackluster. Some rumble, screen shake, dust, pebbles/particles, louder crash, and/or additional boulders might help. It needs to be confident about being a somewhat crumbling castle.
- Similarly, the entrance of the first demon to the ship is weak. Not enough impact. More sound, particles, tighter animation. It needs to feel more surprising.
- The intro cutscene for Dominique is similarly lacking. The animations feel very stiff, lifeless, boring.
- That pool of blood is pretty rad, but the camera angle doesn't communicate it well. I would tilt the camera so you can see what you're swimming in.
- I was a bit confused at first whether monsters were dying or just flinching, which led to me getting hurt. In particular I think it was the Gieremund. I would suggest a more noticeable death animation or sound.
- Miriam darkens when in front of pillars, even though the shadows are cast in the opposite direction (away from the camera). That didn't feel right.
- I would add more contrast and color in general:
- The approach to the castle is very drab. Everything is pretty much the same gray. Even the trees. I would appreciate more lights/darks/colors. Help us see the detail that's there.
- Castle entrance could use more as well.
- Sleeping garden starts to look a bit more interesting with the green leaves.
- Chandeliers are lackluster as well. More light from the candles would be nice, and more contrast in the textures.
- Those purple curtains are cool, but I almost missed them. It should be obvious they're background and not foreground, but they should have more life and color to them.
- Similar thoughts on the yellow pillars. It's nice they add some color, but they're internally low contrast, makes them feel empty.
Things to improve (other):
- I'd like to see some indication of the weapon class you're looking at. Is it a dagger, sword, great sword? It's not always obvious. Text or an icon would be fine.
- Having to press Back to get out of the full map wasn't intuitive for me. I'd like it if B and/or Start would exit it as well.
- Fade in and out of conversations is a bit painfully slow.
- I wouldn't give the Speed Belt out so early in the main game. Movement options like that feel like a second-half thing to me.
- Bullet type swap shortcut would be super nice.
In short, impact, life, and color! Thanks for the preview. I really like the game.

This would be really nice. Personally I would prefer unlocking the ability after a while into the game. It makes it feel that much more valuable when you feel the contrast of having to manage without it at first.
I would also like to see a bullet swap control. It would be really nice to be able to swap between bullet types without heading into the menu every time.

Yeah, I agree with this. I don't think a configurable option is necessary if it's done right. I like the voice, but it's just too loud too often.

I probably have the unpopular opinion, but I'd like to see as little provocative/sexy content as possible. I don't want to be aroused by playing video games; I'd rather save that for my actual relationships with other people (or one person in this case). If those outfits are in there they're just going to make me more tempted/conflicted about the game. This doesn't mean I don't like attractive outfits, but I dislike when they go from cool to indecent.
That being said, I respect that other people like that content, and I'm fine with letting it be there and just not using it myself. I just wanted to voice my opinion. I do, however, hope this game gets a Teen rating rather than Mature.
Regarding DLC: I think that additional playable content is the best kind. Whether that's more campaigns, levels or playable characters. I would be fine with paying for DLC that allows you to play the main campaign in co-op, because I'm a nut about that. I love playing co-op on pretty much anything. I'm sure it would go over better if it was bundled with additional content. I hate paying for cosmetics. Especially when it's sorta microtransaction style ($3 for this costume, or $8 for a set of 4, or whatever). If I really really have to pay for those costumes, then please let it just be an expansion that unlocks them to be found/earned somewhere in game. I'm fine with paying $20 to make the game more fun, but if I pay $1 or any amount to just have a costume plopped into my inventory, it feels hollow and seriously breaks the immersion.
Regarding 13: I'm pretty sure the promised co-op content is already coming for free, and the mentioned co-op DLC would be in addition to the already planned/promised features.
Regarding playable characters: Personally, I always thought Johannes's design was awesome, and Dominique's kind of plain, ever since the Kickstarter. I'd be way more excited to play as Johannes as the third playable character. He's seeming a little lame in recent updates, so I hope he gets the awesomeness he deserves when we actually see him in the plot. So yeah, if we assume it's Miriam, Zangetsu, and Dominique, I'd choose Johannes for DLC. Or Gebel.

I was actually almost pleasantly surprised. If it releases on Android and has controller support, and doesn't follow a free-to-play model, I'll consider getting it. I do think the in-game character and monster models look kind of bad, but I think I could get used to it. I mean, of course a real Castlevania game would be preferable, but just because 99% of mobile games suck doesn't mean I'm 100% unwilling to believe this will be okay. It's definitely free to play. There's a stamina counter and two currency meters. It looks to work just like Contra Returns. Comparison of resources thanks to theplottwist: Ah, well, in that case, I won't be playing it and I'm not excited at all.

01. Favorite game Bravely Default. It took me months to finish, but I loved it, despite its flaws. 02. Worst game Very difficult to choose worsts... but the last game I stopped playing because I didn't like it was ICEY. 03. On the wish list Octopath Traveler, Dragon Quest Builders 2, CrossCode 1.0, Stardew Valley multiplayer, FFVII Remake... 04. Worst franchise Call of Duty? It's just not my thing. 05. Most disappointing sequel Mega Max X 8 06. Favorite console 3DS or Swtich? Hard to rule out SNES and DS as well. 07. Favorite protagonist I'm gonna steal Neku Sakuraba (The World Ends With You) 08. Worst protagonist Isaac from Golden Sun. I don't care for stand-in protagonists who have no defining characteristics. I'm also not a big fan of the super generic hero type. And I don't like silent protagonists in super dialogue-heavy games. Isaac is pretty much all three. 09. First console NES 10. Guilty pleasure game Omega Quintet, maybe. I played it for the ability to choreograph dances, but all the other stuff was just too much to wade through, so I stopped after my first real dance. I like playing dress up, not dress down. 11. Latest game purchase Dragon Quest VI 12. Favorite genre JRPG 13. Saddest scene Zack's death at the end of Crisis Core 14. Favourite antagonist That I can think of right now... Kefka, Sephiroth, or Manfred von Karma. 15. Worst antagonist Meh... Ultimecia? I'm kinda agreeing with freddythemonkey on this one. 16. What are you playing now? Dragon Quest VI, Ocarina of Time 3D 17. Favorite franchise Ace Attorney (or Final Fantasy) 18. Best soundtrack Chrono Trigger, Bravely Default, and Tales of Legendia. Couldn't pick just one. 19. Worst soundtrack Worst one that comes to mind is Bravely Second. 20. First game First one I remember is maybe Super Mario Bros 3. 21. Hardest game Hardest while still being fun: Celeste. I loved that. Finished all C sides. I tried going back to Super Meat Boy after Celeste, and I couldn't stand it. 22. Best developers Square Enix. They do a lot of infuriating and/or mediocre things, but I'm still a big fan of a lot of their stuff. 23. Favorite couple Zack and Aerith 24. Worst couple I'll go with Mario and Peach too 25. Most valuble games Well, the one I spent the most on is my Bravely Second collector's edition, soon to be surpassed by Octopath Traveler Wayfarer's Edition. 27. Best voice acting Danganronpa has some great acting in it. 28. Most underrated games Crystalis, The World Ends With You, Bravely, Dragon Quest Builders 29. Most annoying character Quina (FFIX) 30. Worst console Umm... Xbox? 31. Most played game Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, maybe?

I agree! If they're going to provide you with an in-game map, it's nice if they also let you make notes on it. The simple pin feature many games use is usually sufficient, although being able to write things out can be really nice too.

I agree it sounds a lot better than pre-orchestration, but I do also hear some things that could be better. In terms of tuning, I think it's mostly pretty good, but there are a couple times the strings sound a bit off, like at the very beginning of Voyage of Promise. And I agree, I think the mixing could be improved a little; some of the frequency ranges seem a bit muddy, hard to hear the different parts coming together.
These are definitely things that could be changed as they finalize the tracks. And even if it sounds exactly like it does now, I won't be disappointed. I think it sounds pretty good.

So, no video or q&a you guys might have? Edit: When you visited / Not the event video thingy. I'm sure some photos will end up here at some point. I know at least Angel and Goobsausage took some. I still have to see them! And some of the others might be willing to share some of their insights from talking with Mana and IGA. I was pretty happy just listening.

Yeah, today was seriously cool. A big thanks to IGA, Mana, Angel, Mike, and everyone else involved.
I had pretty similar feelings on the panel. I wasn't expecting anything too big, so the fact that we got to see not one but 3 new clips was pretty satisfying. I liked what I saw. And demo/release date hype!
It was nice to meet you guys! Thanks for being so nice and inclusive! I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did!
