When doing quests, how about have a counter or an indicator how many things you need to kill before that prize is within your grasp?
Kill Morte made me curious if it was Morte exclusive or Bone Morte included. It was Morte exclusive.. Not being confused, but a counter would be great. Both at the quest-giver, but also somewhere in the menu.
Edit: When killing an enemy, it will show how many you have left. That thingy will fade after a few seconds. It could be below or above Miriam too. Once the quest is done, the last one will have a chime soundeffect, so you know the quest is done. And there will be no more countdown once you've done the quest.

I really like it being silent - I appreciate the music more. - Music or not, its a powerful communication. Village is a serious matter. Lack of music make it feel more destructive and interesting.

Add a way to scroll up or down in text that are longer than what the window allows during cutscenes / dialogues. Reason: Playing in silent occasions or if you ever have to leave during a dialogue due to * life * .

I watched Miriam for around 1 minute sitting in the Save Room sofa with no interesting animation aspects.
How about after 20-30 seconds, have an interesting animation?
- Have her foot in the air wave a little due to impatience?
- Let her fix her hair?
- Familiars could start a dialogue with her, the ones that actually can speak?
- Play around with her equiped weapon, or inspect it for her own curiosity? Possibly all kinds of random or the piece she is currently having equiped.
- Snooze off for a second.
- Looks at a piece of a map she had on her, perhaps with a compass.
- See shards of rosen glass fall of her as they try to grow outside of her seal that Johannes wrote on her.
- Open a book with all the backer-names to scroll through.
- Open a bestary for us to check up on the monsters.
- Shows us her music-box with all the music for us to listen to, like a playlist / theater musical mode.
- Random floating thought-bubble over her head with different symbols or characters like "memories" or a reversed konami code, or half-way through before shifting to other thoughts. Perhaps random images you saved on your desktop/console through the ingame snapshot feature, if this feature is a go. Steam have usually, and Switch too, what I've heard.
- Let a goofball fly by, making Miriam react but think it was probably nothing.
We have seen more interesting things happening when Alucard back in the day sat in a wooden chair.
Edit: More ideas.

Once leaving Garden of Silence in top left area of that area, you run across a room with a Red Moon in the middle.
That Red Moon is in front of the castle (which is also a backdrop, one of the towers of the castle), but also it "drags" and "lags" towards right when running across. I believe the Moon should have some kind of movement, to get a depth on that scene, but clearly its a bug which surely have an easy fix.
I tried running across twice in different time-periods. Same issue.

Cave area with all the rats before getting to the castle entrance have some piles of water.
No sound effects are applied when jumping and running past it.

Save issue here. Got it from a Plume Big right after I was about to attack it with a Dullahammer Shard attack. I got knocked and landed in an stone object, not platform in The Silent Garden area.
I couldn't move until the pig actually swooped down and hurt me.

The save room on the Galleon Minerva feels too much like a castle. Different design on the Galleon would make wonders, similar to the actual ships interior.
Or different colors if you want the faster route, which isn't very appealing.. Or maybe?

When in hurry, we might get a bit annoyed about the "shopkeepers" always having the final word.
I suggest that you either in the menu can toggle on/off about Shopkeepers talking after you finished buying, crafting, cooking, salvage or selling your items. Once you leave the menu, you also can move and run off to your adventure.
Minor issue, but can see a problem with it once you have lots of materials and gold, and need to run between the shopkeepers.
Alternative: Hold select- or start-button, get a pop-up menu saying "Good Bye dialogue off" or a better word for it.

Volume settings
Main Volume. (Master) Dialogue Volume. (Cutscenes only, voices outside of cutscenes are under SFX, Vepar scream during cutscene included)
Music Volume.
SFX Volume. (Sound effects, like monsters, playable character abilities, swimming in fountain, hitting walls, slashes, hits, knockbacks etc.)
VSFX Volume. (Shouts, screams, attack sounds etc.)
Toggle settings New Shard Ability Scream: [On] [Off] (Miriam got a new shard, hear her agony! Or not..) Attack Voice SFX: [On] [Rare] [Off] (Haaw! When attacking - Rare could be around 50-75% less frequent voice fx)

In short:
- NPC cutscenes lipsync need to match the english language and japanese.
- Face expressions need work.
- Lightning need work.
- More frames during action cutscenes are needed for a fluid transcendance from one stand to another.
- When using the shard-attack Dullahammer head as an example in mid-air but get canceled when direct hit onto an enemy before the shard-attack have made its animation fully may result in Miriam dropping down or become knocked back, with a jumping pose stuck on objects on the floor. Clearly a bug about animation vs objects (like those stone ones on the Silent Garden platforms after getting hit by a Plume Flying Pig.

Chasm been on my wishlist for years. I hoped it would come out way earlier so I could have something to play until Bloodstained came out.

Then it never came so I backed forsaken castle to play that instead.
That never came either and like chasm, still is in development.
