That as an intentionally cheesy variation of Rogue Legacy would be epic.

Getting the boss fights right has got to be quite the balancing act. In general I prefer the bosses to be punishing, but to have patterns that can be picked up after fighting them a few times. Since I have the habit of exploring areas pretty thoroughly before going through obvious boss doors I have a tendency to end up a little on the overpowered side when fighting them in the Igavania titles. I prefer the boss difficulty from the earlier games because of this.
The length of the fights is usually preferred at a couple minutes where the boss doesn't go down immediately, but at the same time doesn't require a lot of grinding to take down. For longer fights, if the boss attack patterns changes during the fight it tends to keep things interesting longer. The attack patterns have always been something that's been done well overall in the Igavanias that I've played.

What have I done? How could the darkness have taken me in this manner?

After finishing off his attacker a vicious feral animal that must be destroyed is spotted feasting on the fallen. The next attack is directed towards yugosalkins.

As Gunlord500 falls there isn't even a pause as purifiedweirdsoul was spotted in peripheral vision and must not be allowed to advance further. Spinning to face this new foe the wicked barbs of the whip make a wide arc towards purifiedweirdsoul.

Through the mind numbing red haze Gunlord500 is spotted and is fixated on as the enemy. The following lash of the whip is little more than instinctive reflexes to a perceived danger.

The Android OS is not necessarily specifically to phones. For example, the Kindle Fire is an Android based device which can be used with Bluetooth game controllers and streamed to a television. I've played a re-release of the old Duck Tales NES game on it with a setup like that and it worked well.

Because Ihsaragi Ijok would be too hard to pronounce. Isaragi E. Jacques I like it. Now they just have to make him a playable character.

I would think that this would be best done as a faction type setup to determine if Miriam becomes fully cursed or not by allowing you to either fight or bypass specific bosses to determine the outcome. This would likely require specific in game actions to be taken or done in a specific order to reach each of the possible outcomes. I think this would be preferable to making you need to use a specific play style to get a specific outcome.

I wouldn't mind something simple where if you happened to pick up some specific food items that would typically be usable individually you could combine them into something else that has a somewhat better effect. Macaroni + Cheese = Mac & Cheese. If you had to travel somewhere specific such as a kitchen room to perform the combinations I doubt I'd bother for the most part.

I'd like to see villagers who know about Gebel and the castle nearby. Also, it would be cool to have some villagers lie to you as in Simon's Quest. Or demons in the castle who pretend to fall to your mercy, but then lie to you about what is ahead. Villagers that aren't truthful would be interesting if done right. Hopefully not too close to how it was done in Simon's Quest. I think the dialog in Simon's Quest was pretty poor to the point where it wasn't really worth talking with most of the villagers in that game.

Unless you're a speedrunner who's found some weird glitch that made it to the final version of the game, then it'll take approximately 5 minutes to go through the game.

I have a tendency to attempt to clear each room on the first visit, then pay less attention when passing back through when backtracking to double check a previously unaccessible areas.

I have to say, Wall Cat feels like a sleeper hit. Do you know what band will be playing Wall Cat? Sounds like it would be something by the Grateful Dead to me for some reason.
