The whole concept of Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem's "insanity effects" was disturbing... so I guess it did a great job as a horror game I could never get over the Ooccoos either. Maybe the feathers also count for nipples? I don't think their biology is ever fully explained haha. ReDeads from OoT also used to terrify me as a child. I always muted my TV so I didn't have to hear their shrieking.. up until probably the Shadow Temple where I had to be more aware of my surroundings. For awful game design, I'd say the "remaster" of Silent Hill 2. Not just the fact that they put the fog distance so far away that nothing was a real threat or surprise anymore, but also: That eye texture was not necessary at all.

PS4 is more popular at the moment, and it's popularity is only going to go up in the next 3 years, due to other major kickstarters. It's also the most powerful console on the market. PS4 is the obvious choice. X-Box doesn't have a chance. Wii U doesn't really stand a chance either, but it does offer quite a bit of functionality that you can't get anywhere else, so it does have something going for it. Ps4 tends to be friendly towards indie-developers as well (although I don't think Comcept would be considered one). I've heard Xbox is a bit difficult for indie-games. (According to the Salt and Sanctuary developers at least). Either way, I'm excited for this to come out.

The funniest I've seen so far are the legendary flying mammoths of Skyrim. I wondered if someone cast a hidden spell or something haha.

For anyone wondering about the Steam groups, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is part of a Chinese forum community. They have their own thing going on and from what I understood, this was just a small group for their forum members who are fans of Bloodstained. They have the largest members of fans and Steam users out of the Bloodstained groups. The Bloodstained was started by Steam user doomdimention to also bring together fans, and has kindly linked our forums on the last announcement. I was told that it's now up to the members to see for themselves if they're interested in joining these forums. I started up Bloodstained: Army of the Night and linked it to these forums. We are a total of 3 there (as of this post). That's about it so far haha. If anyone knows any other active Castlevania/Igavania Steam groups out there, I'd like to try contacting them (or you could as well) to link up communities! The bigger the network, the better (usually).

The percentage could be 183.7% through 190.1%, to give homage to it being in the Victorian era (Since it takes place roughly between 1837 and 1901). That'd be a subtle way to tell us the year of where the game takes place. (Unless they've already stated a date).
Either way, I hope the percentage also ends in any odd number, to keep us on our toes. 8gif

The thing is, no one wants it to fall into one person's decision. That's a lot of pressure to have as well as this is supposed to be a community decision. It's true that you can't please everyone, and at the same time people from both sides say they don't mind of the outcome, but I feel this is supposed to be something that's for all of us to have fun with and discuss. There's also still time for one side to take the lead, and if it ends in a tie then hopefully all of us together as community can make a slightly impactful decision :b

I just want Miriam to have an option to wear watermelon themed clothes. I always gave Alucard a "watermelon" cape in SOTN. An outfit that works similar to Joseph's cloak would be nice.

I bought a bag of 10 mcdonalds cheeseburgers to celebrate and I intend to eat them all. LMAO Awesome, congrats to your parents and rock the tie-dye! You know how people hate being single on Valetine's Day? I don't like being single on the 4th, so I have about 6 or 7 hours to find a girlfriend to watch these fireworks with. 8gif Thanks! Been a great 4th so far. Best of luck finding a companion for the day! I'm really surprised at how patriotic americans are. Guess that's a good thing. Here in Brazil on september 11th (our Independence) nobody cares, there is no party or something like that, it's just a holiday like others. It was the same situation back in Honduras. September 15th wasn't anything special for the country (most likely because the situation there is so harsh). I personally like the 4th here because the US is so culturally diverse, and for a day at least. people are more likely to put differences aside and join in celebrations together.

Is anyone else excited for this? I'm personally stoked that Dragon Ball is making a comeback, many childhoods are returning Get ready for Frieza's Super Mega Hyper Awesome Chocolatey Fudge-Coated 100% Full Power God Arcosian Form X. :3 Ah, the beauty of over-exaggeration. Seriously, though...Frieza actually manages to match Goku's power in his Super Saiyan God forms. (from what I've seen in official info before the movie premiered in Japan). Oh, and apparently Master Roshi's been doing some secret training...because it looks, from this trailer, like he's kicking as much ass as the rest of the Z-Fighters. I just finished watching The Battle of the Gods movie. I felt that it was a good blend of the classic DBZ action and silliness. Looking forward to seeing this one come out

If it becomes a series, I hope it takes from the old Castlevanias where the games are far apart in the timeline every time to be able to contain their own stories. I also hope they keep the pseudo-real world connections intact. I liked how every game in CV and would use actual mythologies and locations from our world.
EDIT: Thinking about it some more, it is pretty much a given considering how much thought Igarashi put into making Bloodstained's setting on that era of time.

Shantae and the Pirate's Curse. Honestly, if you like Metroidvanias at all (which I'm guessing all of you do) and you haven't played any of the Shantae games yet, GET THEM! I'm kicking myself for having ignored this series for so long! I continue to kick myself for missing the Kickstarter. A good friend of mine has cosplayed as Shantae for a few conventions, and then I finally looked into it and wow. It is a pretty fun series haha.

Has there been a mention of an afterimage animation for Miriam btw? I thought that was a really cool effect for the time in SOTN.

Hmm, we could get fancy with Latin words haha. Noctis Vigil roughly means Watcher of the Night. Sophus Noctorum roughly translates to Wise person (or sage) of the nights. There are some cool sounding latin word combination out there that can be made. It's been a while since I took a Latin class though so my grammar may not be the most accurate. _ghost

Currently re-playing The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. My most favorite game in that particular series. Rolling the Dark Elf race with the Thief Birthsign. Thinking about actually choosing a pre-made Class, instead of creating a Custom one, this time around. The spell creator, culture, story, and enchantments in that game were superb! I thought I only liked it most due to nostalgia, but I played it again a few days ago and it's still as fun as ever. I found a cool Elder Scrolls mod for Medieval II if you're interested: Main Trailer

I hope there aren't too many DLC if it does go that route, since I think Igarashi said he wants the base game to be his magnum opus. I hope this isn't the last game for this IP either though.

I have several games I am waiting for on Wii U this fall. Super Mario Maker Fatal Frame: Maiden of the Black Water Devils Third Xenoblade X and of course Harvest Moon Seeds of Memories Congrats H on getting a Wii U!, I've had mine since launch and would definitely recommend Bayonetta 2 (didn't care for the first one, but really really enjoyed Bayo 2), Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Super Mario 3D World, Zombi U (it's not like most first person zombie games, it's a bit slower, more survival horror like and has permadeath, but it's kinda cool being able to find & kill the zombified version of your previous character in order to get your gear back), and Mario Kart 8. I am also looking forward to Super Mario Maker & Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water, hopefully NoA will change course and do a physical release for Fatal Frame instead of going digital only. Many thanks Yeah so far I only have the 3D World, will definitely check those out! I have a good month and a half before University starts up again so I gotta try out what I can haha. I really like the way the Wii U tablet can be used in some games. I am excited to see how they'll use it for Bloodstained.

It'd be nice to have a few variety idle animations to make it feel that much more alive. Maybe one where Miriam plays around with a wine glass, one where she just starts looking around her surroundings, and maybe one where she plays around with alchemy or small magic tricks.

Finished Arkham Knight the day I got it, been playing bits and pieces of Shovel Knight every now and then, and I purchased a Wii U today. Hoping to get SSB on it soon, and Bayonetta 2. Missed having a Nintendo console for a long while now.
