Not really interested in either, being completely honest. Software-wise, I'm not interested in what either system has to offer (YET) so I don't see the point of upgrading something that I don't care about. 100 * 0 still equals zero.
Having said that, if some exclusives peak my interest and those new systems are around, maybe? But definitely not right now, no.

While I dunno if AMVs are valid or not (then again, it DOES NOT say "official videos" anywhere, ), there's one particular one that I love to watch every now and again, if anything because its synched to one of the best animes of all time (to me at least) AND the song is pretty darned good. Perhaps the only downside is that, once you see it, you can pretty much guess how the plot will go in the anime to begin with and it contains a HUGE amount of spoilers. If you've been on the net for some time, you're bound to remember this almost immediately. Sorry I'm not sorry for the nostalgia trip,

Chris Avellon is involved... and they have a FLIPPIN' demo (well, pre alpha build, BUT STILL) already.
I mean, I know people need to be careful with kickstarters nowadays... but this looks as much as a safe kickstarter you're going to see.

Sony's was the most interesting overall because it had the most games (although that GoW remake is a couple of years too late for my personal tastes).
Nintendo was a bit of a mess... but that Zelda, tho.
Microsoft was HUGE... if you're a PC gamer. If not, pretty meh.
Basically, Sony had a lot of smaller high points while Nintendo's wasn't so much a high point but a sudden 90 degree angle line to infinity, much, much higer than anything anyone else announced or did... but when you average them out, Sony got it this year, if you ask me.

I would say it depends.
If I just want to chill, Lord Karnage (aka "Classic Game Room").
If I want just to get informed, Pat's Unnecesary Podcast usually fits the bill to a tee (although I'm neutral on his comedy videos). Or the Happy Console Gamer. Depends.
If I want to laugh, Retsupurae and/or Ashens.
If I want some noise in the background, JonTron.
If I want arcades, ghostlord000 (aka "The Galloping Ghost Arcade Youtube Channel")
It also depends if I'm looking for a particular game. The best example from the top of my head is that let's play ravensdive did for Total Distortion. It's a great LP, hilarious, and one of the few LPs I have rewatched several times. However, I've never seen anything else from them.

It's a little frustrating in a way. We're very harsh on this game in particular, while many bad games have come out in the past that we have just brushed off. It's just the fact that this one was through kickstarter that placed so many hopes and expectations on it. I feel bad in a way that we're so critical, but I do not feel guilty, it is justified. Hype. The word you're looking for is "Hype". Remember Daikatana? While it was nowhere near as disastrous, it's EXACTLY the same thing. A lot of promises that they simply failed to deliver. Should they be criticized for that? YES. Very, VERY YES. That's why the other bad games don't get such a reaction: the other bad games had 0 hype around them.

I've heard the game is pretty meh. I mean, looking at the glass half-full here, at least it isn't TERRIBLE, and that's a good thing, right? I mean, the game is there, it is playable, and it is at least fun here and there.
With all due respect, with the development hell it went trough, did anyone really expect the game to be 100% GREAT?

Two stand out from the top of the my head. First, Adaigo for Strings. I mean, classic piece, beautiful, odds are everyone in the world has heard it, not going to bother linking it.
Second, which is less common, is Bright Eyes by Art Garfunkel, aka "That sad song from Watership Down."

Well, all things considered, 2018 is going to be quite the exciting year for space exploration. Can't wait.
I agree with thrashinuva, however. Should be much easier to set up on the moon FIRST, then mars, not the other way around.

Not surprised one bit about this. To say I'm dissapointed would be an understatement.
Luckily, that trailer in particular has been downvoted to hell. Even with the fact that their target audience is now 100% pure asia gambling markets, pretty sure people upstairs at Konami are starting to get the feeling more than half of their fanbase is utterly, utterly gone.
If they do something about it or not is something completely different. Only time will tell if their new tactics worked. Judging by how Nacmo-Bandai microtranstactions affair worked (and by "worked" I mean "it didn't"), I'm betting this won't either. Any company that things that it can survive on the domestic market alone without a huge drop in profits is insanely deluded.

I've made the mistake of getting "Pocket Jockey" for my 3DS, a small little thing by Game Freaks. Horse farm/racing sim combined with solitaire, of all things.
I haven't played anything else for almost 4 days. I NEED HELP.

I think we'll have an answer once NX dev kits are actual thigs and not figments of our imaginations, xD
If the Wii U version does well, I don't see why it wouldn't make sense for them to work on one. But things like specs or how much effort or manpower it would take to port it properly... that's anybody's guess.

I hated the song they choose with the passion of a thousand burning suns... but the footage looks intersting, so I'm on-board so far.
Still a bit dissapointed it isn't Altair, but eh, I can deal with that, as long as the movie itself is good and tells a good story.
EDIT: Random brain fart: someone should re-cut the trailer using Woodkid's "iron" song. Cliched? Yes. Totally fitting? Yes too.

I'd argue capcom has sucked with this franchise because they're tackling something they aren't good at. Classic Survival Horror is their bread and butter. If they're going in a classic direction it'll be great. Hirabayashi actually worked on the ORIGINAL remake too, so he knows what they had to do to make the original remake work. All I can say is that I hope I'm awfully wrong and you're totally right. However, like I said, I'm not holding my breath. Maybe when they release some early footage I might change my opinion, but for the time being? Nah. However, I'm not an idiot. If the footage proves they're going full REbirth with the fixed camera angles, I'll admit it and be interested again. None of that "it's still not the same!" stuff.

I'm almost 90% sure fixed cameras will at least be an option in the game. I'm surprised you aren't interested, the first remake was amazing and actually improved on the original. Because the first remake (REbirth) was released waaaay back on the Gamecube era when Shinji Mikami was still with Capcom and supervising everything (including Zero, which has a bad rep). A lot of stuff has happened since then. Most of it terrible.

Right, but my argument is if they are planning on making an option for both camera styles ( fixed and OTS) I rather them focus on a joint style like the 3.5 style than two styles that will be watered down because they're splitting the focus. So yes, I rather Fixed Cameras above all but if they're gonna force OTS into this game I rather then put all their attention into one style than two, so the 3.5 style is the perfect mix. I can see that working, but I think the damage is done and enough people have complained about both the fixed camera and the "tank controls" that they're not even going to bother. I, for one, love the original RE2 and still play it on my N64 (see kids, this is why you don't throw away your old CRTs!), so I'm not that interested in a remake, let alone being hyped about it. At least not if Paul Haddad is not Leon's voice anymore. Which he hasn't been for quite some time. But yeah. Best case scenario, they go full REbirth (RE1 remake). Good case scenario, they go with 3.5. Worst case scenario... well, anything else, really. Not holding my breath.

I know you said you're not interested in anything after 4, but if you can play it, I'd recommend checking out Assassin's Creed: Rogue. I didn't think it was as good as 4, but I enjoyed it more than Assassin's Creed 3 and thought it was a nice way to wrap up everything that happened in 16th century North America between 4 and 3. Fair enough. I might give it a go after I get 3 again. Still, it won't be anytime soon. Going to get myself another Neo Geo CD (the one I have at the moment is acting up. Think its on its very last legs)
