post is seriously too long to read, so will just post stuff here. will weapons have special attacks, or combination attacks like ooe/sotn "<- -> attack" I agree with shields.
posting what _I_ think should be in-game.
knives daggers swords rapiers axes maces scicles greatswords battleaxes warhammers bows?/crossbows? whips(leather/thorn) whips(chain) spears, katanas halberds, and scythes.
these are the weapon types I was going to include in my custom CV engine I have been working on.

on my topic of stained glass dragons, I stated very clearly, why don't we have them? in the cv series as a whole, there were very few actual dragons/ generic demons. I want to see more reptilian enemies come into play, or a reminder of beasts. I would think that the key of Solomon will be our MAIN enemies, our primary antagonists. fallen angels are an interesting subject, but the question is whether they will be generic or individual. the angel counterpart to each demon in the key? well, that would involve them being pitted against mirrim, and servants of god aren't supposed to engage with mankind. there DOES need to be a sort of knight class of enemies, skeletons, zombies and our common armors. wouldn't feel right to leave them out.
but here is the big issue. enemies shouldn't be avoidable. if you jump over an enemy, it should try to slap you down. if you run from one, I want to see it truck after you across the map. think of this. warg from sotn chasing you down at a faster speed then the player can run.

OK, so I join BSFF, post a few things, log off, go back to programming. come back the next day and- OMG WTF??? (just a lot of posts.) it seems ive got the community's attention here. and I couldn't think of a better community to be "APART" of. lol. so I am just going to go through and post all of my rebuttles in one shot, as there seems to be a lot of misunderstanding.
#1: UE4 yes, I know game engines are the standard at this point. kindof a joke really.
#2general complaints: about the shaders, yeah, my point is that all they have shown. maybe I am just overreacting.
#3 puppet comment: it seems to me that iga is just reading off of a script. everything that gets done is in a short timeframe, and its only what "the fans want to see". I don't know if anyone else really understands what I mean here. no, I have not lost faith in the man, I didn't scour the internet WEEKLY for any information on his whereabouts for nothing.
might as well finish introducing myself. again, sam Clarke. I am an artist, I do (some) modelling, I cant write shaders, but i am very good at uv mapping, and making textures/effect maps. i don't do much sprite work, but here. i am sure you can figure out what this is.
i am pretty satisfied with it. so, i also do music, (ironically) most of it being CV remixes.
i have about 130 more... idk if i should be worried about that or not. the DC remix is my first ever, so it may be of lower quality.
of course, most of my time goes to programming. I AM PRETTY SURE YOU ALL KNOW WHERE TO FIND ESCO 0.=.- here is old LND, before i rebuilt the engine www.indiedb.com/games/project-lnd/downloads if you look hard enough *coughs zelda64.net you can find a DL of the new engine.
APART isn't publicly known yet, but i think i can trust you guys to keep a secret?
as i said, the project is still under wraps.

we all know konami's situation atm. I made a hypothesis on what would happen before the whole bloodstained thing. lol. here is a pasted version of it:
anyway, what i thought back when i first created this group has come to pass, excuse me if i suck. iga got sick of things as well and the future of castlevania is now. people have petitions up for sotn pc, and a bunch of other things. what disturbs me the most however is konamis profound silence over the matter. as a company they throw away more money ignoring cv fans than they have actually wasted on producing these games. i believe the main cause of metroidvania being niche is that: multiplayer usually sucks if at all existant, the devs just dont care about fan ideas, long release waits, very little western marketing, and other things you may add to the list.
it cant be popular if no one knows of its existance. very few people play solo.
so we know reform is necessary. konamis deal with kojima is over. this means that there are no more los games. los and hod left cv in a bad state. konami can either: resign kojima, do it themselves, ignore series existance, sell copyrights, or have it developed by a second hand company.
either way this falls, we should see something rise from the ashes within 3 years, otherwise i may just become avgn

alright, so I have been avoiding this forum for along time for the fear that I may never leave. so, my name is sam Clarke, I am the leader of dragon king development studio, we have been in the works for about 3/4 of a year. personally, I am the shadowmapper and I do other graphical stuff for ESCO'S SOTN HACKED, I am lead programmer for project LND (work paused), and am working on a new game called APART. as far as my reputation with *this* community, I started when I beat sotn when I was 2. ive played all of the other titles, dust: an elysian tale, and so on. I was waiting for IGA's return ever since he left konami, and all my friends thought I was CRAZY until the man makes 5.5 mill on kickstarter. I love to say I told you so. I feel guilty for not being a part of said kickstarter, but I am broke, and am building a 900$ gaming pc solely off of the money I find lying around the city of reading.
but right now, I make this post because: im worried. iga has this money, he has this team, heck he is even cheating by using UE4, and after 5 months of (....delayed) news postings, he is still complaining about SHADERS?? he has made all of this happen, and he hasn't even started programming gameplay? this has got to be a bad joke or a nightmare, because I started my new project less than 30 days ago and I am further along. oh, and I make 75% of the assets, and all of the code with room to expand it. problem #2: doesn't it seem a little weird? it seems like IGA is just a puppet, a mascot if you will. every time he makes an appearance, its so scripted. just all of this has got me worried. leave your comments below.
