I think having an amiibo would be fun even for those without nintendo consoles since amiibos are just cheap figurines that most people can buy with the added bonus of giving the buyer extra content in nintendo games. If they choose not to have an amiibo, but just a normal figurine I feel it would be a lot more expensive (With the benefit of being more detailed and probably bigger). So it is depending if they decide they want to appeal to the many or the few. I would prefer the amiibo due to me living in North-Norway so there is no market for expensive figurines since they are almost always triple the price that is in the USA. Regular amiibos are 1.5 times more expensive in Norway, so figurines will be a nightmare for those of us who live outside the USA. Especially to me due to added taxes when imported to Norway.
But most of my reasoning is kinda selfish. So the other options for collectibles are easier for most other people.

There is not much to say except that the Super Best Friends have uploaded themselves playing the Bloodstained: Ritual of the night E3 demo. I thought it would be okay to share it with everyone on the forum since I don't think everybody knows about them. Lets hope this brings more fans to Bloodstained: RoTN

UPDATE:Small update on Miriams stats pattern, the pattern to INT and CON are longer than I expected. On the others I have found the repeat point but INT and CON are more guessing than fact. On everything else I have written down every stat for every level. That would take me hours to write to this site so I will just post the LV 99 stats. If anybody levels beyond level 32, please tell me the stats without weapon and armour, and no shard boost. I grinded up to level 32 and these are all of Miriams stats up to that point. This is all without weapon and armour. You should be able to see the pattern it has in each stat. The pattern are long in some of them, and in the others quite short. I added the numbers of Amy's I used as well, the ones with question marks are those I didn't do with Amy's and grinded outside of Vepar. I have tried to figure out how much health Vepar have based on Amy damage, but I don't know if the Amy's I shot from the door went to the face, breasts or mouth on Vepar so I don't know which is correct. If somebody knows please tell me. Fun fact: If you shot an Amy before going into the cut scene with Vepar you can see the Amy flying in the cut scene. It has taken me around 5 hours or so, to do this and write everything down. So I really hope this isn't something that is already know by most.

Quite a good theory. I thought there was a hidden antagonist as well since the kickstarter info says Gebel just took a castle from hell, I didn't think it was Solomons castle at all. I just thought it was a joke that implied Gebel stole Dracula's castle. Added: Rixuel I just say you comment on my little theory right after I read your theory.

I don't think we know if areas like the ship is considered part of the castle, right? So there may be areas that are not counted towards it. Because if the ship is considered with the castle, it is considered around 4.5% of the castle. This is with the rooms shown on the map, this does not take in consideration of the rooms that aren't show on the map in some way. We can probably consider it around 5% with the inaccessible hidden rooms we can't get access to in the demo. So is there anything that clarifies what exactly counts as the castle? I don't know if I want a second castle/ inverted castle unless they make some differences like: New bosses or the old bosses more powerful Something that will make me want to explore every area in it. Take a old area and make some opposite version of it. For example turning an ice cavern, into an area with the ice gone and lava where the water was Hidden paths that weren't there before or revealed from the change I got a small(and bad) theory on how they may give us a second castle. This may be a spoiler if they do it like I think they will, so don't open the spoiler if you don't want to sort of get spoiled. Some clues is in this paragraph from the Kickstarter on Gebel and Johannes.
GebelJohannesTheoryI think after Miriam defeats Gebel for the first time, he will drag the castle back to hell, so that Miriam can't escape from him, as well as making him more powerful by being in hell additionally as he gets a second chance at trying to execute his plan. So I think the areas will then have more power full demons and the castle will be more destroyed and broken, with maybe more lava where there used to be water.With the added bonus of having new areas of the castle being there because they couldn't come with the rest of the castle from hell to earth. Bonus question: Since Gebel dragged the castle from hell it means he didn't create it. So who owned it before him? Was it maybe Dracula It's not a really detailed theory but it something to consider. I can't remember if IGA has said anything about some of the details I have said so, please correct me if you can find something that hints on what we can expect.

When I played the demo at home (100$ backer ^_^) the first thing I noticed that was missing from this game and previous Igavania games is the ability to use items while playing. Currently you have to pause the game, select and item and then use it for the effect. This greatly hinders the flow of the game when you play it. In Castlevania: Lament of Innocense and Castlevania: Curse of Darkness you had the ability to quicklink up to 5 items in a seperate window you could activate and select the item you want to use using the right stick. This function was incredibly useful and really improved the experience of the game, I do hope something similar will be implemented in Bloodstained. I noticed that currently both the D-pad and left stick are both used for moving your character, using the left stick to open up an item window would be really nice. Moving it up and down for recovery items and possibly left and right for shard or armor sets and using the D-pad only for movement. Any comments on this idea/suggestion? Well, it's a decent idea, but I feel like it could better if you had to hold down a butten or trigger and then use the left stick to choose an item since I like using the left stick when playing casually and the D-pad for precise movement. Then holding down the butten or trigger and push down left or right stick to use the item. That's my suggestion to improve your idea. I would probably have replaced the D-pad if it wasn't the most responsive and accurate method to move around, so if they majorly improve the left stick movement then I would have no problem. I still like pausing to use your item so you can use them in a pinch without worry a lot better, since I think having items that can be used immediately will probably go the Dark Souls way of having an animation to go along with it, due too you not being in the menu. Which would make you defenseless for a short period of time and makes it possible for enemies to knock you out of healing yourself since the animation didn't complete.

I have looked through this thread and I feel like I should come with a point which may depend on the rating of the game, which will probably be T for teen. Bloodstained will not be translated to every language, but it will be release worldwide. So you kinda need some sort of tutorial to show how it functions here and there. A lot of people that has English as their first language backed this Kickstarter, around 49345 people. So that leaves about 15522 of the backers who probably don't have English as their first language , but as their second or third language. So what may seem like dumb people may just be people who don't understand English as well as you do.
I know that I wasn't really good at English when I was younger and I know a lot of people who aren't good at English now either. So having something similar to was in the demo just won't do it if you want to appeal to everyone, but if the rating of Bloodstained becomes what I think it will, then those people will figure it out eventually. These type of games require some puzzle solving skills, but if you don't learn the skills you where suppose to learn from the start of the game it may become to infuriating to some and cause them to quit playing.
Now I trust IGA and his team will make a game that will satisfy most, if not everyone. So I will withhold criticism of a game which isn't in beta yet. If the beta has a bad tutorial then I would think it time to complain, since the E3 demo was made to be played at E3 where I presume most of those who played are adults who speak English. So I would presume it's not a tutorial as much as an instruction, which is suitable for the age range of those who played it at E3.
tl;dr: I would argue that the best tutorial is the one that is designed to suit its age group and where it will be released.

Hei, håper det er greit at jeg som er norsk kan delta på denne tråden. Tror ikke at det er mange nok nordmenn og dansker som ståttet kickstarteren for å skape en egen tråd der, vi scandinaviere forstår jo hverandre godt uansett. Men om du bare vil ha svensker så er det helt greit, siden jeg ikke orker å lage enn for norsker siden vi er så få som ståttet derifra. Vi i scandinavia deler så mye historie og kultur at jeg tenker at vi klarer å delta på diskusjoner på dette om de henter noe fra norrøn mytologi og kultur. Jeg prøver å holde denne tråden i live slik andre også kan delta. Hvilken monstrer og skapninger tror dere de kommer til å ta med i Bloodstained. Jeg tror i hvertfall at troll kommer inn i Bloodstained på en eller annen måte, men jeg tror det bare er Fenrir som ellers er kjent for resten av verdenen av vår monster mytologi. My video game collection, most of the console games are gift I got from my friends when they got a new console, but the handhelds I have bought myself. My Donald Duck comic book collection. What you guys see in the pictures are the pocket book version and the last picture is binders with regular comicbooks versions. I'm Norwegian so we didn't get a lot of marvel and DC comic books, but Donald Duck was/is super popular comic books.(I don't really know anymore since I stopped collecting them 9 years ago.) I got fourbig boxes with even more comics, where 3/4 of them are Donald Duck comics and the rest are a mixture of Calvin and Hobbes, The Phantom, Viggo, Beetle Bailey, Asterix and Obelix and some other single issue comic book. I got those ones stored away since I don't have the space to have them in my room.

This happened when I tried to leave and reenter the room I got the seama bug in. I tried to recreate the seama bug and have it on film from start to finish but got stuck on the ledge in the room before it. Don't know if this is a bug/glitch. I tried going left and right, but you can't really see me smashing the A butten to get loose by either jumping or dropping down the ledge.

I found a bug on one of my casual runs through the game demo so I unfortunately wasn't recording until I released I found a bug. But this happened with the seama that stand on the destroyable crate, he jumped off it the moment I destroyed it and he and his attacks no longer hurt me, except the one small hit in the video. the other seama hurt me just fine. this recording started after I toyed around with it for around 15 seconds.

I got my time down to 3:39.50, I made a lot of mistakes in this run, but got lucky with the early head flail shard to buy back lost time. But a thing I have wondered about is how does everyone time their run. I always start the timer the moment I hit game start and end it when I get the level up message since that means I killed the boss. Anyways hope some of the "tricks" in this video at least helps somebody else with their speedrun strategy. Most Castlevania veterans will probably do the quick attacks a lot better than I ever will. So I think it's possible to knock off 8 to 15 seconds from the way I do it. Good luck everybody.

Just played through the demo, I love it. But I found a bug/glitch? When I used head flail against the hidden room entrance that can't be opened, the head flail appears on the other side of the room for a single frame or so. Don't know if this has been noticed before. It happened in this room against the wall I am closest to. EDIT: seems to happen in any small room where you can see both walls , tried it multiple times in multiple rooms, and it happened consistently. You gotta jump and the use head flail on the right wall and this causes it to appear on the left side of the room in the lower corner. A good article, but if you don't want to read how the first boss looks like or some other things from the e3 demo I would recommend that you don't read this article. Otherwise this is an article which explains that bloodstained is quite like Castlevania: Sotn.

I thought the stream was quite good, even though gameplay wss only half of it. Romscout should maybe have done it a little slower, since they cut out gameplay when he got to the area we have already seen in spoilers a day ago or so. But i hope what he did will get speedruners and people interested in castlevania games. Also a lot of Twitch chat thought bloodstained was a sequal to bloodborne.
