Meant for people interested in the Netflix series who are not familiar with the games. Hope you like it, share it with friends and family if you want. creators.co/@alexcalvobelmont/4305227

Thought of another good one, if this hasn't already been finished... But if they ever get to a season about the 1999 battle, would you ask Iga to share any details he had planned for the story? Or just work with what was given in Aria and Dawn of Sorrow, filling in the gaps completely yourselves?

Can we expect any tie in promotional material? I.E. comics, action figures, or even dare I say it... "Castlevania: The Animated Series: The Game!"?

I want to make the question I posed more precise. Note I am not asking if each of the examples will be included, just giving an idea of what kind of retro active continuity I am referring to.
Will there be any acknowledgments/references to aspects of the canon from later in the series that retoactively affected the story of Castlevania 3, other than the Lisa storyline from Symphony of the Night(1997)? For example,
1. The Devil forgemasters Isaac and Hector as seen in Curse of Darkness(2005). 2. The origin of the Belmonts as monster hunters, the vampire killer whip, and Dracula as shown in Lament of Innocence(2003). 3. Chaos as the source of Dracula's powers, and the whole dark lord concept laid out in Aria of Sorrow(2003) and Dawn of Sorrow(2005).

Are the events of Lament of Innocence going to be referenced at all? A bigger version of this and the Hector/Isaac question... is this series going to acknowledge the canon of games that came out well after Cv3 that would retroactively have an impact of the events within? I.E. The origin of the Belmont Clan/Dracula, and characters that other games claimed were present. We know events described in SoTN will be used, anything beyond that?

Quick simple question. If Bloodstained is the success we are all hoping it will be would you prefer to see more games in this same universe or more new IP's with different takes on the gothic/action genre?
If the former, what road should it go down? More Miriam adventures? Other characters in the same world? Different eras in the same universe?
If the latter, what road would you like to see taken? Something vampire heavy? Lovecraftian? Maybe a little bit more fantasy laden?
If you just want to tell me we should wait for the game to come out and not talk about future games yet just go ahead and ignore this thread. Don't need that kind of negativity.

But there is certainly a difference here. I am not talking about Konami booting Iga from the series, as for most gamers that didn't really ruffle many feathers, in fact there was a sizable group in support of it. I think Bloodstained would have been developed regardless because Iga just had to get back to gothic action games. Konami really didn't go so crazy until a little bit after, at least in the eyes of the general gaming public. It wasn't really until right around the launch of the kickstarter that things started to crumble for them... silent hills cancelation, Kojima being ostracized, statements about mobile gaming focus, ridiculous working conditions etc etc... Those were what pissed most gamers off, not so much the specific treatment of Castlevania and Iga.

So given that basically everyone agrees on this, how successful do you think Bloodstained would have been if konami hadn't been so reviled at the time? I'm sure it still would have been funded... but I doubt it would have made it much past the 2 million mark.

I'm just curious about opinions, but do you guys think that Bloodstained would have been so successful if Konami hadn't been having such pr nightmares? Iga became something of a symbol for the "good" side in that whole debacle, the artistic game designer versus the profit obsessed suits. Given everything going on at the time with Kojima, how it paralleled Iga's experiences and just Konami's general madness is it possible that Konami unintentionally helped Bloodstained become what it has? And if yes, do you think Iga and co took advantage of the timing purposefully?

I hope they have an alternate "Full Armour" costume for this guy. Always liked fully armoured playable characters. It's easier to picture yourself as the character that way, and I'd like to see how a fully armoured Demon Hunter looks like (I hope they don't all go bare-chested). I could see it being a more practical version of samurai armour that has his colour theme... possibly a combination of European plate mail and a Japanese Oni mask/helmet? (Possible Spoilers if you haven't played the original DMC series) Maybe something intimidating like Vergil's from DMC1&3? I really love that armour design I think something like this would clash pretty hard with the whole victorian setting, this is more of a medieval fantasy look.

I think he is essentially our Belmont stand in. I'm guessing he will be utilized in the same way Iga used the Belmont's in most of his games , the wise badass hunter who kind of helps the protagonist along, until something happens that makes him unable to participate in the final battle. I'm really hoping he has a more brute force, attack heavy gameplay style with little to no spell or magic use. Basically he should be Bloodstained's Richter.

A character like this is a perfect way to sneak in a nice little Castlevania easter egg. Make him mention being trained by his master Richter or something like that. Something that skirts the copyright.
